Question for the Anders Thread: Say I romance Anders. Say we break up due to incidents in the Fade. Does this stop any other potential romance?

Did anybody bring friendmanced Anders & Carver? I'm tempted to try that combo.
Of course I did; Carver is the best and he always comes with me. Of course, there isn't that much interaction between the companions themselves. Most of the banters I've seen are between Tallis/Companion, Tallis/Hawke, or Companion/Hawke. I think. I've only played through it twice.
They are hilarious doing the "rescue" together. Carver baby, why can't you be with me all the time?

So, I took off the dust from my Wii and bought Xenoblade Chronicles. I was surprised and delighted to hear Adam Howden voice from the beginning. So far it is a really nice game, and the voice of Howden as the protagonist it's a nice added bonus. Tonight I went looking for some info, and I've found an interview I really liked.
And, it is in topic because he even talks about his work for Dragon Age, and how he picked up the role of Anders from Ellis.
Here you go! Adam Howden Interview

He will outright say as much if you choose the humorous option there.
I never make poor Anders side with the templars.
Of course, I never make ME side with the templars either, seeing how they're a bunch of murdering bastards and such:devil:

I was confused so reloaded and got that "I won't live past this" line taking the "we'll we're going to die anyway" option.
I just wish some mention had been made.....'cause now I'm all....confused and sad. More confused. Can't be too sad if I have hope he's still alive....Ahlive and.....in hiding? In iding so well that Varric and his spy network can't find probably the most notorious apaostate in Thedas? ..... yeeeeeeaaaahhhhhhh. Dang. He's dead.....Anders WHHHHHYYYYY????
Well, to be fair, you did just make him kill a large proportion, if not all, of the mages in Kirkwall, when his goal all along was to set them free (no matter how asinine his methods...). Frankly, I'm surprised he even agrees to side with the Templars at all and doesn't just kill himself right away when you offer.
That's a good question, actually...Why does he agree to do it? It must seem rather shockingly cruel, from his perspective.
On a different note, I'm now conflicted about what I want as my canon. On the one hand, I quite like the idea of a non-mage Hawke defending her apostate, but on the other hand, a mage seems like she would understand him better and be able to help him better...Not to mention that Asskicking Apostate Duo = awesome. And that I prefer grumpy, temperamental Carver to nice, yet slightly spineless Beth, but that's a tangential issue. Hmm...
I tend to play warriors, but one good thing about the mage Hawke is sending Carver to the Wardens. He really turns into a CBA (Certified Bad Ass) during his time with them. It's good writing and development. He finally gets out from under Hawke's shadow and makes his own name for himself.

3 of my 4 Hawkes sided with the mages, it's hard to either have to kill Anders or making him join you in the battle
against the mages. :/ Plus I am Anti-Chantry and Anti-Templar so it all works out.

Maybe this is a sign of good writing of both Anders of the main plot and setting...
But I find that the mage vs templar situation makes for strange alliances. I'm pretty pro-organized religion in general. But I'm also pro-freedom. As a result, I find myself often aligned with people who think religion is teh debil. The Chant of Light? Sounds great. Too bad the Chantry doesn't actually believe in it, from what I can tell. Or, more accurately, they choose to believe in the parts they like and ignore the parts they don't.
I do hope Anders has a big role in DA3, but I get the feeling he won't. I don't think they'll do a 'resurrection handwave' again for those the murder knifed him in Act 3.

Yes, that. It seems they take and twist around certain things to fit their ways, which I have issue with. I think I'm actually more anti-chantry than anti-templar really. I mean, templars were raised to believe the way they do, and are addicted to lyrium. I feel for them too.jamesp81 wrote...

Distracted by Hawke's butt, an unsuspecting Anders is completely oblivious to Fenris' not-so-subtle...pickpocketing attmpts.

I guess he liked Anders' gift amulet better than his own?
Either that, or he was making an inappropriate remark about Hawke's derrière. Or a combination of both.

Indeed. I keep thinking this is the best possible outcome for him.

I'm currently running through there with my rivalmance Hawke, who sided with the Templars and chose Anders at the end. I'm about to bust out of the dungeon and so far, Anders has given me zero romance dialogue. He gave the romance dialogue in Legacy and before this DLC he also gave the romance ambient dialogue if I clicked on him but now? Nothing
Is this a bug or is he meant to act as if they've ended things?

In other news, you seem to need to flirt with Tallis to get the marriage banter. I never got it with my Andersmancing Hawke since she didn't flirt with Tallis, but another Hawke did and he got the banter. I got it near the very end, just outside the caverns.
