Wow, thanks for pointing that out! I find a big pair of hands really attractive on a man, I guess it's just a thing I have...

Great head of hair, handsome face, blue eyes, and sexy man hands...and of course a terrific accent. I'm quite surprised he moved into voice acting, with a face like that...

I think my fangirl intensity score just tripled.

Edit: Obligatory ToP art...which makes me really want to see Anders with his hair down. I disliked men with longer hair until Anders. Is that odd?

Totally not. I never thought I liked blondes until I came across Anders (and to a much lesser degree, Alistair). He is just so endearing, he can make people reconsider their taste in men xD

Hmmm... a picture of Anders sleeping. This seems to be a popular motive, and somehow it's my favourite. He always looks so... peaceful. Like just for a few blissful hours, sleep lets him take a break from all his worries.

What would be your favourite Anders motives/postures? Any preferences?

I really like sleeping Anders and Anders with cats. However, looking through my own art (not counting commissions or crack) and the kind of art I have favorited, the most common theme seems to be revolutionary or Justicey Anders. So I'm clearly found of the turn Anders took in DA2.

Anyone else notice he is sleeping on his mother's pillow? I wonder if he actually does sleep on that pillow every night. Somehow, I find that heartbreaking...

It's taken me a while, but I do love the turn Anders took in DA2. I mourn his snarky Awakening self, and I covet the glimpses of that old Anders in between his revolutionary rantings and tragic dialogue. Yet, I don't think I would like his character as much if he was just "same old, same old."

I wasn't really that fond of Awakenings Anders. I mean, I liked him as a friend for my Warden, but I didn't care at all that he wasn't an LI option. Nathaniel, on the other hand....

DA2 Anders was something else entirely. I was very "Yes please!" I guess I just enjoy a tragic romance.

Anyone think it a pity we couldn't give him another cat as a present? I'd have infinitely preferred that to giving him the Tevinter Chantry amulet - too much association with blood sacrifices for my taste.

Yeah, I didn't really like the Tevinter Chantry amulet as I don't like Tevinter. Nor does Anders, I would assume, since he seems frustrated that people see Tevinter as the inevitable end to freedom for mages. I get the sentiment- that there is another way, that magic doesn't have to be seen as a curse, and so on- but it's definitely not the gift I would have chosen for him. Even if a cat wasn't possible as a gift, it seems like there would be a lot of other nice things to get him besides the amulet. Give him a fancy, leather bound journal to write the final copy of his manifesto. Or a book like the one Wynne can receive about Andraste being a mage. Or Merdith's head on a stick!

He's in the process of filming a horror movie at the moment, and I believe he did some sort of crime drama television show over the summer.  So yeah, Adam's still doing live action things- they just haven't aired yet. 



Every post I've made here lately has been about Adam Howden, so here have some old pictures (that I've probably posted already way back when) of Sims 2 Anders and Ser Pounce Alot...

Slytherin - Blood Mages
Gryffindor - Arcane Warriors
Hufflepuff - Spirit Healers
Ravenclaw - Umm... Shapeshifters, I guess?  That requires a lot of focus.

Yes, that too! I have never been attracted to blond men, (Maybe because I'm dark blond), yet I adore Anders with his strawberry-blond, half-updo. And coupled with his dark stubble, oh dear Maker.

I also love seeing Anders asleep after a long day of working at the clinic, with a cat curled up next to him. Even though Gray Wardens don't typically have the most pleasant dreams, I like to imagine Anders is among those who don't suffer from the many nightmares.

It's so wonderful having Anders move in - I like to imagine Hawke pampering and stuffing him with food, snuggling up on that big fluffy bed.

That is such a fantastic picture. I haven't seen that one before. And I'm another that generally doesn't like blond guys, but Anders is an exception. I wouldn't change a thing about how he looks.

^ That to the letter.  I actually didn't think about the journal, but that is seriously a wonderful idea!  It is also something oddly enough I see Varric giving him.

The amulet, felt kind of hollow verus some of the other gifts you can give in game.  Fenris's gifts are really personal.  I mean a book basically about his life, and in turn you can help him learn to read, and the sword, a nice twist and mockery for the place he hates.  Merrill gets little momento's of home.  Isabela gets a damn ship! Okay it's in a bottle but you get it..You can also see my point I am sure. In some area's I feel some companions got the shaft for whatever reason.

I completely agree with the Tevinter amulet also actually. I think there could have been SO many better gifts to give him. Including a kitten.. or a journal.. or a new place to live. I mean, I understand why Hawke would give it to him, but in the end I think it is kind of a waste. One of those things that "could be better." I love how he goes "you have terrible taste," and I'm like *facepalm* "I KNOW, but I have no control over these things! Just don't throw it at me like Fenris did with the book I gave HIM."

I suppose that is exactly the reason though.. the gifts can go both ways. If you gave Anders a kitten I don't see his rivalry response being .. what.. "WTF HAWKE?! How AM I SUPPOSED TO take CARE of a Kitten. IT is not JUST to allow a kitten to live here!" I mean.. no.. I just don't see it...

He'd probably still love the kitten in rivalry but accuse Hawke of mistreating it or something. Or accuse Hawke of trying to placate him with kittens. "I will not let Messere Fuzzy Boots distract me from the injustice of the Chantry."

Or, considering that Justice is angrier in rivalry, maybe it would be enough to bring up his old argument against enslaving cats. So Anders would still try to happily take the kitten but then Justice would jump down Hawke's throat for yet again encouraging the enslavement of others.
