Why? People disagreeing with your modding choice is no reason to leave.

On my latest PT, and I'm still finding new
banters. I have a new favorite between Anders and Fenris. I don't know
if anyone else has gotten this:

Anders: You were an idiot to leave Hawke.

Fenris: And you were fast enough to replace me.

Anders: I love her. You can't even imagine what this is.

Fenris: Do not bare your heart to me, mage. Unles you would see me rip it out.

../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png

Ahh, the "find-the-missing-banter" game, love it! [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
I guess that it takes to romance Fenris first and then Anders, but...
does it take to sleep with Fenris? Sounds like he's the kind of guy who doesn't like to be used... [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png[/smilie]

Btw,
even if the "Fenris vs Anders" debate is a complete waste of time,
there are still funny things to compare about them, and one is: at
first, Hawke meets someone, let's say Isabella, things get hard and
heavy and they end up in bed for fun. Then, if Hawke is in love with
Anders, he is willing to forget her/his previous affair as soon as Hawke
really loves him (ok, manipulative kitty cat but that's another story).
But, if (s)he is in love with Fenris, then (s)he's got to stay back
because Fenris can't get over Hawke's previous affair...

Maybe
I've had still too few playthroughs and I got the wrong idea about this
(if so, please correct me), but if I'm right, then it's like "no, Fen,
nooo... [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/sad.png[/smilie]"

*Agrees w/Anni Lau* ...no offence, just that most people dislike mods (well, I approve the earring to be back, though).

I don't like the mod either, but I wasn't going to say anything; I mean, to each her own  :D

Plus it isn't bad, just doesn't look like "my" Anders, you know?  I already love how Anders looks.  Honestly, I think he's really, really hot LOL

I also don't like the little patch of hair on the chin and mustache, a la Cullen.  Really, that's my only beef with Cullen (whom I also find super hot); if he'd just shave off that little patch of hair... so I don't particularly like in on Anders, either.  I think Anders' overall scruffy look is juuuust right!

Yes, I romanced Fenris first. Then I did Dissent shortly after Fenris walked out. I'd never done Dissent so quickly after Fenris, so I'm assuming this is why this banter popped up. As far as Fenris being used, that's not what happens. He leaves Hawke. It's not a situation I do every time, but it does lead to interesting banters between Anders and Fenris. Image IPB

Fenris is just too ornery for me. I still haven't been able to romance him, Anders is just too adorably wounded.

I did get that banter too. I wanted to try a rivalmance with Fenris and it worked in act 2, then he left my Hawke. I did some other quests and tehn Dissent - and ended up with Anders (who is an adorable character) And somewhere ina ct thre that 'You were an idiot...' banter popped up. After three years and Anders giving cushions to his friends - it was somewhat strange, but funny.

I'm sorry for being SO touchy! RL is very, very stressful right now. I might try taking a break from the forums, but they are addicting! I once romanced Fenris, then Anders just so I could get this banter. It's almost impossible for me NOT to want Anders.

I have an Anders related question: Which friend in Amaranthine do you think Anders left Sir-Pounce-A-Lot with?

Here's a little YouTube video (one of my few clean ones) I made with Adam's Tintin line about being licked by Snowy. xD

Thanks, Sialater!  I had read that the Howe family was from there and wondered if Nate was involved somehow since they had served together.  Much appreciated!

Delilah? But she is in Kirkwall in Da2 at least for a little while. Did she bring pounce? Lol that would have been hilariously awesome. I might even head!canon that.

As for The romance thing... heh... you all know where I stand I think. Though I tend to not go running to Anders and then kicking him out cuz I feel terrible leading him on. I don't think I want to do both... I don't think I could go through with the Anders romance if I heard that banter. Lol.

I am like.. the opposite of you guys when it comes to this.

'ed!

As I guess Anders is one of the reasons why Delilah looks for help in Kirkwall, she could have returned him the favour of looking for Nate... Or even she could have been a smart-ass like,

Delilah: "Please, I need you to find my brother!"
Anders: "Don't worry about him, he'll be strong enough to wait a little longer. And... well, I hate the Deep Roads!"
Delilah: (suddenly brings Ser Pounce out) "So you won't start looking for him already?"
Anders: *___* !!!
Delilah: (takes Ser Pounce back) "Ahh no way."
Anders: "But..." :(
Delilah: "I insist! no Nate, no cat. :police: You choose."
Anders: (grabs Hawke and runs off to search Nate)
Delilah: "Wait! I still haven't told you where in the Deep Roads was he seen last...!"

Sorry, couldn't hold myself from that. ^_^

OK, so my renegade templar Leah Hawke is about to be left by Fenris and
ready to go cry on Anders' shoulder... Bah, he shouldn't giving her a
second chance... But at least I'll have my banter. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

I actually don't think Delilah is who Anders gives Pounce to. Seems like he would definitely ask about him if she were.

I'm pretending it's Felsi (since we don't know where she landed and I bet baby Oghren gets into all kinds of adventures).

True. Definitely that's a hole in the logic of my attempt-of-a-short-story...

Heh, that's a good guess. She's got the gift of always doing the unexpected thing. Now, let's see if I find a (logical) way to get Sigrun in the middle of it all... nah, it's a lost cause.

Did I ever say that I love this thread? I guess I have, but I'll show you...

In my DA universe, Anders gave Ser Pounce-A-Lot to the Warden when she returned to Denerim to live with Alistair. He becomes fat and spoiled eating all the mice in the palace dungeons and sits on Alistair's face when he wants something.

Felsi is my alternate choice since I headcanon that Moira set her up in Amaranthine as the head of that tavern with the smuggler's hole.  And insisted Oghren talk to the poor girl.  But that's my fic solution, not necessarily the most common answer.

As far as asking about Pounce... I currently have my cousin's cat.  Her daughter asks about him all the time, she never does unless I bring him up.  So, it's not inconcievable that neither would talk about Pounce.

I also thought he could have left Pounce to Delilah.
When they met in Act3, while it is sad to think so, maybe Anders is too focused on other problems to think about asking right away...and anyway they are talking about a missing Nate, so probably it was not the best time to bring up the subject...maybe later they did?.
I even thought Pounce was with Sigrun, but she is not always alive.
Actually Felsi too might be a good guess, I think Anders could get along with her.

I kind of assumed he left Pounce at the Vigil, with Mistress Woolsey (a fellow Anders), or Varel (cool old dude). Maybe the prison guard in the dungeon (the one voiced by Adam Howden).

Yeah, Delilah might have him. I mean, consider:

We should ask about Pounce --

POUNCE IS A DISTRACTION FROM THE CAUSE.

I've begun my DA2 fic:  The Renegade, Book One:  The Sounds of Silence.

Anders will be a huge part of this fic, of course, but I haven't decided if he'll be a POV character.  I'm uncertain of my ability to write him.

Sialater, I'm not a writer by a long shot, but it seems like Anders WOULD be difficult to write. In DA2 he is such a complicated person. There seems to be so many thoughts going on in his head, and even he can't be sure which one's are his, and which one's come from Justice. This is all IMO. Good luck, and good writing !

You might have to write it like the novel "Valis" by Philip K. Dick, where there's an "I" that narrates the story that's separate from Horselover Fat (which is a translation of his name) who is also him, but whose actions are described in the third person, and with whom the narrator has arguments and discussions.

Someone on the k!meme's writing a really great fic about Anders, in the third person but privvy to his thoughts.  Whoever the writer is, they have a good way of portraying him and a good grasp of his character.  I don't think I could write him half as well if I tried.

http://dragonage-kin...55805#t27055805  You can read it here.  It's SFW, so it shouldn't be an issue for anyone who wants to check it out.</p>
