He does make sure to keep those eyebrows remarkably sculpted, though.

His eyebrows are perfect because messy eyebrows are an injustice to good fashion sense unattractive.

Oh and Anders is really awesome.

Celestina wrote...

OH GOD yes - when he's telling Meredith and Orsino off in Act III - his face - his face - the flicker of emotions across it was flawless. In Origins I was put-off by the way in which characters shouted or spoke with emphasis their faces remained unnaturally calm and composed. But Anders - you could just see how angry and passionate he was in that moment. It gave me goosebumps.

I also agree that Anders is the most human. Inside and out, he is the most complex and believable character I've ever met in a game. Learning to accept his flaws and embrace him for what he is now, not the man I knew in Amaranthine, was such a meaningful and moving experience. It wasn't easy. I still miss the lighthearted, snarky flirt - but I can say that I've learned to love the new Anders just as much, if not more.

(awesome snip)

One of my all-time favorite portraits of him...because the image above is... *shudder*

I know exactly what you mean about the faces in DAO.  They all had that mildly peeved-looking sneer thing going whenever they were furious or irate.  Looking back, it's kind of hilarious.

And yeah, that scene in Act III makes me swoon.  My first playthrough, a lot of Act III took my breath away, but that one i  particular stands out.  It's just too perfect.

To be honest, I do miss Awakening!Anders, but in a nostalgic sense.  I vastly prefer DA2!Anders.  I've never been so moved or become so attached to a fictional character before.  Hell, even well-written fanfic about Anders makes my heart seize up.  I've been moved to tears over more than one kmeme fill, I'm not gonna lie.

Edit for ToP I have art!

I've seen Alistair pull off the kicked puppy look pretty well

But yeah, most DAO faces weren't too terribly vast in emotions

And Zevran's creepy lecher face is pretty notable, too.

Oh yes! I swear Anders has the best fills on kmeme. "The Box" - seriously, if anyone here hasn't read it you need to! (I'd link, but I'm not sure if it's allowed for a site like that)

And this video...I admit I cried watching it. Twice.

My absolute favorite fill is Coffee, Black.  I'm also fond of "Caring is Creepy" (which I hope updates soon) and "Fine Again."  I do love The Box something special, too.

Hey everyone. Hope you don't mind a shameless plug, but I just saw some clips of the Smuggler Corso Riggs romance that I wrote for SWTOR up on You Tube and I was ecstatic at the voice acting and overall finished scene. So, if you enjoyed Anders (especially with Sarcastic Hawke) and don't mind SWTOR spoilers, you might want to take a look.

All of these things are true.

And it's official. I need to pre-order SWTOR. *waves good-bye to free time*

What's free time, Precious?

ETA:  I do really look forward to that plotline if I get to buy that game.

While you're here, do you know who picked this song for the credits? Because it fits Anders/Hawke so perfectly...

I think that song is actually noted as being Varric's theme. But the whole time I was listening to it, until I saw the credit that is, I was thinking it applied to Anders and Hawke.

Really? It says that in the credits? Because past "I'm not calling you a liar, just don't lie to me" I don't feel much Varric. The song doesn't describe a platonic relationship. The verses below scream Anders more than anything.

There’s a ghost in my lungs and it sighs in my sleep
Wraps itself around my tongue as it softly speaks
Then it walks, then it walks with my legs
To fall, to fall, to fall at your feet

There but for the grace of God go I
And when you kiss me, I am happy enough to die

Yeah, I know, the only thing I can figure is because Varric is a storyteller. Eh, I'll go on believing it's for Anders and Hawke - lol

Your reading every page? Are you a crazy person? This thread is a tome, lmao.

As for SWTOR- it is fantastic and now I will have to try this "romance" thing, lol. Esp Now... geez.

The end song always, made me think of Anders/Hawke as well. Nothing in there for Varric. Mage's Pride as well is completely Anders. It still feels kind of forced though, if you didn't romance Anders. Yet, it is still fitting.

Oh and hi Anders thread, haven't been here in a while, but I've been lurking.

I don't know if it's acceptable here, but I do know on the Alistair thread there's some pretty racy stuff.

It took me 1000 pages of lurking to finally pop up (in a very awkward way ) but didn't have the things to read every page.

I like cake but yeah. 100 pages per day is what I'm aiming for. I've actually been lurking since 500 but the pages were moving too fast for me to catch up. Plus life got in the way.
