Thanks for posting that beautiful pic, Lady. I've seriously run out of ones for ToP, and I'd hate to have to start recycling them already. It wouldn't be a problem if I didn't keep getting ToP, though. I feel like it's my curse. XD

Awesome little pic (of the cat sanctuary)! I wanted to do one of Anders wearing a sweater with leather pads on the shoulders and elbows or a t-shirt with black wings on the shoulders walking with a kitten in a cat sanctuary with sunlight streaming in from 2 windows behind him. Have not found the right pics to pull it off though. :/ I like the A-Paw-States Cat Sanctuary idea though. Too cute!!!

As you know Anders is mentioned in the book. The setting is a year after the Chantry explosion in Kirkwall. The view of Anders is that he is a madman, but that the system that created him will create others and it can't stay the way it is. And the book DOES cover what happened with the other Circles. I highly recommend it if you want a little taste of closure. Mind you it does not focus on Anders, but it does have Wynne, Shale, and Leliana making appearances. It is great to see the characters we know continuing their stories beyond the game and learning a bit more about their lives before and since. ALSO! It gives more understanding about spirits and the different ones vs. just demons. And definitely more information about the Rite of Tranquility and how it isn't what it seems. Go get it! Good stuff to help on the debate about Justice/Vengeance.

@ Gyrefalcon: I'm a little over halfway through the book now. It's good stuff and I'm liking it much more that I did The Calling. Not to say that The Calling was poorly written, but it did take quite a bit of what we learned in the game and threw it out the window.

Hi! First time posting and what not. Is there some guide and/or difference between friend-mancing Anders and rival-mancing him? I'm only on my second play through and I don't want to miss a lot like I did the first time around.

Anyway IIRC- in DA2, Anders says to Hawke when they first meet something to the effect "Are you trying to get me to go back to the Grey Wardens" or something..anyone else remember? I'm positive it's on YouTube but I'm too lazy to look it up right now. A couple people call him a madman, but that's about it.  We don't learn more about his fate... The books have to have their own canon view of the DA world, so I am really curious if Anders is alive or dead post-Kirkwall.

Asunder is really great.  It's wonderful to learn more about the Mage/ Templar war and what is happening in Thedas after DA2.  Too much Wynne, in my opinion, but other than that it rocked.  If you love Anders, and therein are really interested in mage stuff, you must read it!

Yes, that's what he says.  Then he adds, rather poutily, "I'm not going!"  (insert foot stomp)

Anders jokes that the darkspawn nightmares don't end just because you leave the Grey Wardens.  However, since there's no Blight currently, I don't think they are as serious about keeping their rogue recruits as they would be under normal circumstances.  My guess is they turn a blind eye on people like Anders.  

Also consider that Alistair, too, is a Grey Warden, and he could potentially be the king of Fereldan.  Can't really defeat darkspawn from the throne room.

Anders meets other Grey Wardens throughout DA2, including Nathaniel and the Grey Wardens in the Deep Roads when Carver/Bethany are taken ill.  Plus he can AGAIN meet Grey Wardens if you take him with you during Demands of the Qun.

Me too!  Aggggg!!!    Well... mine isn't Anders based, but I do allude to him.  Couldn't write a DA fanfic without him in there somewhere!

I don't like my story's title (Crimson Snow).  The working title was better, but not the right tone for the story (A Lamppost In Winter).
