Granted, my Hawke was a huge sap, so she was okay with it but I think it would have been nice to have the option to take it a bit slower.
EDIT: Oh no, top of the page. Umm... GIF!

I picked the sammich option partly because I was like "my goofy Hawke probably thinks it's getting way too serious in here, plus dang dude, little quick to jump on the I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MWAH thing, aren't you?" and then she's all I LUFF U TIL WE DIE. I got whiplash.I was cool with him moving in and stuff, I just really didn't think that line was appropriate for my LadyHawke. Hell, it's not appropriate for any of the Hawkes I've made so far. I ain't got time for sap.

Here's a video of someone friendmancing Anders with m!Hawke. I've never tried the f!Hawke one (mainly because I only play males), but just that Anders warns her beforehand not to get too close to him because he'll only break her heart (which doesn't happen with m!Hawke until Act 3), while he's a little happier to indulge in some early flirting with m!Hawke. Aside from a few special lines for both, there's also background about his past love that never gets mentioned with f!Hawke. It's up to you which way you prefer though.

Circle Mages are so sexually repressed. No wonder they're so messed up. Meredith wouldn't even let the ones in Kirkwall so much look at each other like that.

Is there any real difference between the femalehawke and malehawke romance scenes?
You don't get the Karl dialogue with a fem!Hawke, he doesn't talk about "loving the whole person, not the body" and some of his lines later are slightly different. I also adore the M!Hawke "wanna sandwich" line. It's delivered fifty times better from M!Hawke than from fem!Hawke. My fem!Hawke sounds like she's serving High Tea in a royal palace when she says it. M!Hawke is all "Grrr, Hawke just had rough sex, Hawke hungry!"
Maybe Hawke isn't interested in that kind of sandwich.
oh ho ho ho ho ho.
He wants to make his night a Manwich night.
Yeah. He only gives in, friend or rival, after he literally cannot take denying himself Hawke any longer since he's trying to protect her from a relationship with him.HolyJellyfish wrote...
I agree. I thought the romantic obsessive lines were a bit too.... much after the first lay.
Anders is all "I WANT TO BE WITH YOU FOREVERZ"
And i wanted the option to say "Woah man... wooooaaaah. Let's relax...."
Then again, Anders had been obsessing over Hawke for three FREAKING years. If that doesn't spell crazy, I don't know what does.
... other than the Justice demon thing possessing his head. Eh, Anders is all kinds of crazy. Hawke doesn't need to be that mad.

Hawke asked him to stay over one night. Then a few times later that week. Anders' stuff just started accumulating and they never really had a proper "move-in" discussion. A key just showed up on the desk in the bedroom that Anders took over.

I didn't think it was that strange, besides the fact that Anders went from "I don't want to hurt you" to "let's move in together." I mean, the timing didn't seem off to me. Even if it was their first night together, they were building a relationship over the past three years. If he asked to move in after knowing her for a few weeks or something... yeah, that would be way too fast. But I imagine Anders and Kaya were very close after those three years, even though there wasn't much romantic involvement. But then again, she would totally let her friends move in too.

Yeah I think the reason people were
slightly outraged inthe beginning is because the whole build up of the
relationship was skipped - we sort of got thrown at the bit where it
finally escalates after THREE YEARS! So Id say after three years of
being in love with someone id immediately agree to take them in if they
asked. I'd probably beg, in fact.
I sort of wish there was some equivalent to Alistair's rose though.

It was around the same time she tells Alistair about her baby I think... I'll try and find it!

Yeah, she mentions it when she says it's rare for mages to get pregnant as she had. Also, the Ferelden mages were definitely getting it on. Duncan has a quickie with a Circle mage in the book "The Calling."

I also felt the moving in bit related to the fact that it was safer from the templars in Hawke's estate rather than in his hovel in darktown. It was a move of convenience, but also love.
