Haha. Remember the discussion someone made up about health and mana bars?
It's not about the size as Varric says

Sooo...anyone want to meet Anders' namesake?

Meet Anders: (boyfriend thinks it's totally ridiculous I named him after DA Anders, but oh well.) :D

EDIT: I forgot to add that we called him Link when he got angry with him. If anyone can pinpoint the references, you win a virtu-cookie. :P

True, but you can't cast the really awesome spells without a large mana pool, if you know what I'm saying.  Eh?  Eh?  ::nudge nudge wink wink::

I like the irony of making him stare at it for a few weeks.

*pumps Anders' Willpower* Unfortunately, the only tricks my warrior knows involves smiting (such a bad idea). Oh! She can, uh, blow. Mightily.

Yeah we just got him a few days ago and we already had to cart him off to my bf's mother's house while we rearrange furniture...that's why I named him Anders. He keeps trying to escape out of the door and the kitchen window....then he gets outside and we just catch him and bring him right back in. LMFAO

I sent this picture to my mom and she thought it was cute.

@DeaHamlet
Oh dear. I'm guessing you killed him back?

@SurelyForth
I had a petty Hawke who did not like his gifts being rejected, so I'm sure he was giggling drunk with Isabela about it for the rest of Act III.

Oh yes.  I totally masacred him.  I think only Anders and Varric got to shoot off anything, Fenris was dead by the time Aveline got close enough to hit him, LOL.

It was a tad sad though cause I was hoping for 100% rivalry to convince him to stay.  I much prefer 2H over tanks any day.

My version of tanking I learned in WoW playing a shaman: kill the **** out of things before they get me. My mage was doing pretty good at that.

I'm sure Anders would appreciate that.  ;)  I don't know he feels about my rogue, though.  You know rogues: they do it from behind.

I guess she can borrow one of Isabela's... "daggers", then?

I just spit out an entire glass of water all over my bedspread laughing at this. :lol:

Especially since I'm playing a male rogue right now, with every intention of rivalmancing Anders. Hahah oh lord. Oh the images.

How far did you get with the rivalry? I'm pretty sure at 75% you can convince him to stay. I think. My only completed runthrew saw me romancing him and 100% so I'm not sure.

It was probably more than 75%... I really messed up.  It's possible that if I had chosen the right dialogue choice (I think it was about slaves?!?!) he might have stayed... but I was very STUPID and CLUELESS and messed it all up.
And his yelling at me during the gift giving totally convinced me that only my evil blood mage will be in rivalry with Fenris.  I liked it so much better when he was all excited at the irony and stuff.
Besides, the reason I messed up is because my canon Hawke and him agree on anything but the whole circle business. I was making decisions JUST to get his rivalry up by act 3.  It was a complete failure all around.
Must replay it, and fix the import fixes cause I didn't get Nathan's quest and Alistair called the warden "friend".  Bastard, I put Anora in power so you could stay with the warden and you dare not even acknowledge it? *rage*
LOL

The Friendly path ending, while heartbreaking in its own way, is...better, I think. Three weeks ago I would never think I'd prefer a world where Anders knowingly blew up a Chantry, but at least he has some control. If you turn him over to Rylock in Freedom for Anders, he'll say that he just wanted to be able to make his own choices. With Justice taking over more frequently, it's like that much more is stripped away from him.

lmao.

Hm I'm the opposite. I know the rivalry path has a real "and I must scream" moment but it's better I think. Oddly. I'm pretty sure he's aware of what he did in both situations. Only difference is he wants to undo what he did in rivalry but Justice won't let him. The bastard >:|

Feels like more is being stripped but at the same time he has a fighting chance. Especially with my Hawke at his side. He didn't break up with Hawke after Justice told Hawke to GTFO after all.

The slave option was the way to go, I think. I guess it makes him feel cornered, and, perhaps makes him realize that he's had hypocricy branded onto his forehead the whole game. If it makes you feel any better, I entirely botched my first run; had to drop it entirely, actually, because at the end of Act II the Arishok kept killing me in one hit. I didn't even recruit Fenris, so I had no option of being cheap in a duel, either.

And I'll rage with you. My situation is with Zevran sleeping around on my Warden, but I'll rage with you.

Is anyone else sad that Anders will probably not be in DA:3? I mean he was in Awakening and such a huge part of DA:2 and so many people chose to kill him, it's a slim chance he'll be in the next one... it's sad.

I want an Awakening type expansion where you get to experience the 3 years after the events and see how each of the companions leave you. And if you killed someone off, you just don't get their bit.
That'd be satisfying!

They might mention him.
Or he may have a cameo if you let him live....I would think he would be mentioned quite a bit in DA:3, as he started the revolution. Not to mention some peopple may opt to keep him alive and run WITH him...so he would be mentioned alongside the Champion of Kirkwall.
