Yup, he did. Love his voice actually, especially the way the screams when romanced Hawke dies. Heartbreaking.:crying:

I confess that sometimes I 'accidentaly' forgot to turn Hawke's blood magic off so that she dies just to hear thatPosted Image

Using some mods now.. I gotta say, "The Last Straw" loses some gravitas when the entire party is in their undies

LOL ... kind of annoying how the women are in bikinis while the guys are in leggings when you remove their clothes.

Fiance says that nudity is useful because it lulls the opposition into a false sense of security.

@Renmiri1 Note to self - Varric and Aveline are 100% high morale, no mods can make them take part in beach parties! 8P

And some Anders FTW!

Are those mods strip clothes from existing models or simpy replace them with random halfnaked model keeping heads? If that's former I'm almost glad we had no clothes off cuts. Model is not good. Way too pumped, imo. And arms look just bad. Almost as bad as ME3 "coal-miners". But that can be just me - man's hands and arms are my "special", even IRL. Fenris looks way more natural here, by the way. And on close-up from a love scene this body highly resembles....Alistair. 8P

So.. I'd rather keep my headcanon, I think.. :)

It uses the default body from DA2 so all races will have a set appearance. There are some mods that make females look naked but I didn't see anything like it for males.

I made a small video of some scenes using the mod, one scene for each companion. Just for fun.. Is hilarious when Merril and Hawke talk at the end on Gallows and Hawke says she will look down and not be wearing pants.. and she isn't !

I think Mark of the Assassin has better bodies so maybe there will be a way to improve on this mod ^^ Is not mine but I hope it is still being worked on.

You mean it's just default DA2 male\\female body according to race, correct? That's what I was asking. I needed to know whether artists did consider that shirtless Anders should look like that. Looks like they did not. On the other hand - they did not even need to bother because no one ever knows (exept for few dedicated fans 8P ).

I know that ME uses same male\\female body models, but specific characters vary with skin textures and skin color shades. Which makes them look slightly different from each other.

And I still laugh about how Aveline and Varric ignore the mode :)

ps: I'm close to DAA end, I guess. Because final battle already started. I wish I knew where we get Justice earlier, because I went to Blackmarsh after I did rest of locations. I simply had no time to get much of Anders-Justice banter, even spent about half an hour running around city via "banter spots" and porting from city to keep and back to get more of it. Anders-Sigurn was nice to hear, by the way. Anders-Oghren was way too harsh and not so smart most of the time. And that was my basic 2go team - Anders + dwarves.

What smartness did you expect from dialogs with Oghren? :) (I know, not from him but from writers, j/k)

Like some banter Hawe/Anders. Though Nathaniel does reminds of Sebastian more and more, making me regret I did not kill him when I had a chance.

Well, in DAO he was not that dumb linear...I think, I used him quite a lot. In DAA it seems like they did not know what to do with him, character is not developed at all, imo.

But all of Justice-Anders banter was written well. Especially, if you know about DA2. I still do not know what exactly happens (and don't spoil plz), but so far I think Justice was one of best written characters in DAA. Sad I picked him up too late.

And a little question, that was, probably, asked and discussed before I joined you. But I'll ask anyway.

How do you think, would DAA Anders have any chances with Hawke?

To be honest, every character in DAA feels too simple and linear compare to DAO. But I have to agree, with Oghren it was a particular bad move.

Why would an easy funny guy like DAA Anders have any problem with Hawk? He could even grow up during relationships.

{ninja edit - "not" came from another sentence by accident)

He would not have had a problem with Hawke. It would have been a fun romance, although it might have been too much like Isabela's.

The thing is that the endgame of DA2 kind of forced the changes to Anders's character. The chantry had to go boom from a storytelling perspective, and somebody had to do it. Anders was a logical candidate, but he'd need that merger with Justice to make him overcome his selfishness enough to go through with it. So yeah, I liked DA:A Anders, too, and had things been different, I would totally have romanced him, but it is what it is. I liked DA2 Anders just as much, and the romance worked for me.

Idn. That's myHawke I'm talking and thinking about, and I thought she'd probably be not much after that type of guy. But that's just me. DA2 Anders seemed much more mature (even from the start, without extra game timespan) to me.

Da2 Anders is there, you just have to look under the humor facade he puts on.. On your next DAA playthrough, click here to see an example where his DA2 Anders surfaces in DAA (spoilers!).

I think both Anders and Hawke grew through the years. DAA Anders would have a great time with "DAA  Hawke"  and maybe Hawke would have joined Vigil's Keep wardens or silver knights if he/she hadn't had to escort mom & siblings to Kirkwall. Even after, I think both of them would still fall in love, but not as intensely. all that angst from the first year in Kirkwall and the Justice merge kinda added a desperate edge to both Anders and Hawke, which brings them together IMHO

Hey DA2 Anders is pretty naughty himself.. He tells Hawke that he spent 3 years doing fantasy rp about him and Hawke and so he is "terrified I'll wake up" when it happens for real. And doesn't he mention on MotA that he has fantasies about Hawke liberating him from a Templar prison and he "showing how grateful he is" ? (To which my Hawke answers that the chains can be reused  )

PS: @ Nrieh - Go to Blackmarsh first, if you want to have Justice on your team ASAP.

Next playtrough, don't go inside the Kal'Hirol Lower Levels until the end. You will still be able to have Sigrun in your party as Warden and will be able to finish all quests at your leisure.

The ending sequence triggers as soon as all 3 main areas are done - Blackmarsh, Woods and Kal Hyrol - but of those three only Kal Hyrol is easy to stop at a point where you get all the good stuff (Sigrun, Kal Hyrol Armor) and have only a few battles to pickup and finish later when you are ready to move on.

Fiance says that nudity is useful because it lulls the opposition into a false sense of security.

Yup Yup although the scene where a bikini clad Hawke kills abomination  Harbinger Orsino gets to be a bit much. It reeks of bad hentai pr0n!

Ah. cool. I must have been trying so much to avoid spoilers and metagaming so that I simply missed it. Silly me. :)

well, people do change. No matter "who" and "where" is. I doubt my husband would even have looked into my direction if we met like 5 (or 3) years back from the time we actually met each other. Same as I'm not sure I'd enjoy that man he used to be back then as much as I did. Was I worse? No, But different -yes.

Same goes for myHawke+Anders, I think it was right place and right time... if only the word "right" can be applied to the mess they both had to cope with.

ps: I'm not sure what I'm actually trying to say, even leaving aside fact that english is not my native language. Guess simple way to put it right - I enjoy what I see in DA2, which does not mean that I hate what I see in DAA. I like all of it, including playing DAA as a "flashback".. And headcanons-headcanons around, yeah.

That's the important part: that you enjoyed it.

I do agree with you with regards to myHawke X Anders being the right couple at the right time. For the Hawkes I ran who romanced Anders. The ones who would have preferred DA:A Anders wound up with Isabela. So it all works out in the end. I guess that's another thing. Sometimes, we create Hawkes with specific romances in mind, and sometimes, there is no Hawke that we would enjoy roleplaying that could complete a given romance. Maybe your ideal Hawke isn't into DA:A Anders. It doesn't mean that you hate the character. It just means that the romantic potential is limited. I'm like that with Fenris and Merrill for different reasons. I like both characters very much, but romance simply isn't possible.

And....and THAT'S IT? Damn why do I feel like I've been cheated? I was sure there will be some light about what exactly happens between him and Justice. I did not know I got this expansion for few screens of epilogue text... I hate you BW. :'(

ps: And also I got last scene of boss death locked in infinite loop. Can't skip or escape... If I find out that there was no proper save to import and that I need to kill this thing again - it'll be my Top Dissappointing DLC.

edit pps: smashing escape helped and I had an ending achievment. But still - very disappointed, really. I know it's my bad, I should've known what I was looking for is not in-game. But still... meh.

This..was supposed to make me happier, right? 8P Did not quite work, i'm afraid. But thanx for trying.. And I know I should've just asked. I was somehow 100% sure it happens in DAA, so I did not even bother to check.

And aslo I remember few references across posts, that described...well, some events, and that I mostly skipped to avoid possible spoilers. Was it probably canoned in some later novel-comic, or was it all about someone's headcanon, I wonder?.. I can not remmeber any clear references about how it happened from DA2 in-game.

Has little to do with DAA and does not look like a logical addition to that "text blocks" you get after the final battle. But it's all we get.

PS: I read somewhere that Anders / Justice merge was already in the character profile plans when they did Awakening. As a matter of fact, the DA2 dev diaries mention DA2 was being planned since before the release of DAO.

PPS: I was really frustrated with DAA on my first playtrough, for the same reason. I left Blackmarsh for last and alll of a sudden i was on endgame with still half of the quests and Justice dialogue untouched.

A second playthrough can fix that, if you can stomach it, I'd go get Sigrum, turn around at Kal Hyrol's door and run back to the keep then do blackmarsh and then start on the city / famrland / keep quests. Then later do the Woods and do Kal Hyrol until you get to the lower depths entrance , do some more city quests, then goof off, get reps high, do a lot of zone changing to get dialog until you finally want to go for the ending.

I can't satand the Veranmna so i leave her for last to recruit. But the Silverite mines can't be stopped very easily after yuou get captured. BlackMarsh also can't really be stopped after you enter the fade.  So is best to leave the last bit of Kal Hyrol undone. It is the easiest way  you can control when the ending sequence triggers. And the lowest reaches is very fast so is not  like you are leaving a huge dungeon for last.
