Here is an official short version.

Damn, I hoped that I won't get more of BW beloved "twitter-canon" style with DA. We've had a lot of those for ME, really.

I've read it, and I must say that...I love Helper. Hardly a news, yes. 8P I really hope she's in DA3 team. But still - I prefer to read or hear such things in game, not in pdf manuals on site. And - it looks as a slight retcon, yes.

I left Blackmarsh for last and alll of a sudden i was on endgame with still half of the quests and Justice dialogue untouched.

I understood game design correct, so I started with optional and companion and other non-main quests. But BM went last in order, yes. By the time I did it I had only few side-quests that I was too lazy to complete (like statues). And...it ended too soon, yeah. Add here that I was eagerly waiting for non-existing "something" to happen. :)

ps: I already asked in mod forum, but I'll ask here as well. Because sometimes good helpful people do not read mod forums. Is there any simple way to reuse same custom Hawke? I need to keep class and appearance, not stuff, skills and levels. ME had copy-paste type facecodes, does DA2 have something lke that? I need myHawke and I hate the idea that I'd have to rebuild her in CC with sliders...

edit: reusing face problem solved, nice and easy trick with save editor. did not think it'd be that easy. ready for replay with DAA import and legacy installed.

Here's the thead I started and where I posted solution:
http://social.biowar.../index/13915914

And it's really easy and simple. I tell you, because i've seen manuals about reconstructing bugged ME2 import Shepards into ME3. 8P

And here - it's just small editor and copy-pasting variable from one save to another.

Not that myHawke is something so very special, but I did not want to make another one. I got used to her, you know. So did Anders. ;) Thanx the Maker I did not have to rebuild in CC on sliders. Have no idea why DA2-->DA2 import is not in game. It was in ME1 more than 5 years ago.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, sometimes it looks like they simply forget about useful features and then have no time/budget to add it again.

Bit too young for me, Anders was in his late 20s in game. But if I was 18 this would be the Anders I'd want

Wow, each of those cos-players is excellent! The costumes are truly well done, and they certainly look as if they're enjoying themselves. It's nice to see a happy Anders for a change. This must be right after he moved in with Hawke!

Edit: Oh, and I'm going to be offline until Monday doing work stuff, so if anybody's looking for me, that's where I'll be.

Another Anders Tribute.. This time I try to show a remorseful Hawke, lamenting all the carnage. But she doesn't regret romancing her sweet magey!

Why would you post such an evil and tragic things here?

It's beautiful, yeah. And those fingers clapsing an amulet...

I could never stand seeing alt-canons where characters I love die. I know that "it never happened". But it makes me sad, depressed and eager to reload my yesterday night save (chapter 2, questioning beliefs) asap. I know I'll never even dare to watch "bad" DA2 ending, not even on YT (same as I've never seen alt-Virmire from ME1 and "bad" coup from ME3).

I am with you on it. And argument "I am killing everyone just to explore all games options" sounds to me like "I am going to brake into my neighbours house just to get that bandit feeling". :police:

I know society by and large has made fat people an acceptable target for mockery and shame, but seriously, cut it the hell out. Fat peple should be allowed to exist in public and enjoy all aspects of their respective fandoms - even cosplaying! - without having to suffer the thousands of messages they receive every single day telling them how disgusting and worthless they are simply because their bodies don't fit the ideal of what society deems acceptable. There's no excuse for being a bully.

@cowoline: Yes, executing Anders is a valid way to play the game. In one respect, I do enjoy it because it just *hurts*. As in, heart-clenching, eyes-tearing-up-at-work hurts. When people post pics of people doing nasty, sadistic things to him, it doesn't have the same effect, because it's just people being vicious. When it's the execution itself, especially when it's clear that the artist put some time, effort, and considerable talent into it, it hits me straight in the feels. It provokes the same kind emotional reaction I had when Alistair sacrificed himself in DA:O. Of course, it really helps that we have the option of not *forcing* it to end that way. In both cases, a happy ending is possible (at least for a friendly romanced Anders), so it's fun to make a save, get through the catharsis, and then reload for that happy ending.

@Fox-in-the-Box: Thanks for saying that.

Edit: I recently introduced my twin sister to DA2. She had never played a computer game in her life and I thought that DA2 might be easier for her to cut her teeth on than DA:O. It was frustrating at first. She really had never played a computer game - not even Pong! - so it was hard going getting her used to the controls, but now, with the exception of the boss battles, she's holding her own playing a DW rogue. I asked her who her favorite characters were, and to my surprise and delight, Anders was at the head of her list. That really surprised me. I had kept my favorites to myself deliberately so as not to influence her.

I did it once because I wanted to record that "it was nice to be happy for a while" dialog. Hurt like hell. Even then Anders was so sweet.. "I'm glad it is you".. If the game let me, my Hawke would have just let her knife drop to the floor and snog him begging for forgiveness at that moment .

But the absolute worse is if you side with Templars and don't kill him at the start of Last Straw. Anders shows up at the stairs of the Gallows and you have to battle him and kill him, while he makes it clear you broke his heart :crying::crying::crying:
