Ah, sadly, I started this second run on my 360, and I don't have any of the DLC.  I do have it on my PC version, though...just wanted to do a complete run through DAO and DAA to import into DA2.  Not sure I can wait that long.  Its...not odd that I have the games for both console and PC, is it? :?

On the other hand, my writing Muse certainly perked up when we met Anders.  I haven't written anything in well over a year, but today, my imagination has been busy and my pen has been flying across the paper, jotting down ideas and scenes and lines.  I might be ready to actually start writing tomorrow.  I have no idea how I'm going to make it through 2.5 hours of choir rehearsal tonight without a pen and notebook. *Eyes my music folder and thinks "I can fit a small notebook in there..."*

Anybody interested in being a beta/sounding board? :P

Caeleinn, ooh-ooh, I am! Pick me! *jimps up and down* I really need to keep practicing, but with studying lately I barely have time to write "Steampunk Jet-pack Adventures (Now With Time Travel!)" lat alone anything worthwhile, but betaing something is well within my time-related capabilities.
Plus, hey, more Anders fanfic.

Is it just me or all those threads about "Help I'm a manly man and Anders flirted with me" are the pits ???

It's funny to see how same topics float around different independnt sites and communities. I've just browsed one of those on our local forum...I can't remember when I loled that hard last time. Some arguments were amazing, but I doubt I need to translate those here. Haters gonna hate - that's it.

But that does not mean I fully accept total "universal companions" approach.

I have no idea why people get so upset when a same-gendered character flirts with their pixels. Have they never had to discourage unwelcome attention in real life? Actually, they probably haven't.

It reminds me of my mother. She woke me up in the middle of the night demanding to know if my sister was a lesbian because she dreamed that she saw her kissing another girl. I woke up enough to facepalm and told her no, I'm pretty sure she likes boys as much as any other 13 year old girl.

Lol ! Some older people! My mother was in a panic because my 5 year old boy liked Hannah Montana and wanted a blonde wig for Halloween.
"Omg he is gay!!!"
"Mom he is 5 years old!"
"Yes but you can't let him cross dress!"
"(me) Facepalm!"

And then she buys him Barney jammies

Geez, one of my most treasured memories from just after high school was a conversation with the gay twin brother of my hairdresser (who was also gay) about cross dressing. I asked him if he shaved his legs. He said he did once, but it itched so badly when it grew back in he never did it again. So of course the follow up questions was "So how do you keep your hair from showing when you wear a dress?" He said "Honey, when you wear 5 pairs of pantyhose, ain't nothing sticking out!"

As for the whole "Eeek! Anders (or Fenris) flirted with me! Eww eww eww!"...geez, that annoys me. Suck it up and take for a compliment. You are so manly that even the men are attracted to you. Let them down gently and then go hang out with Isabela for a while. LoL!

Is it worth reading? I only tried few ME novels (2 first ones). Can't say I was impressed much.

Is ok. If you like the DA universe I'd recomend Stolen Throne and The Calling first. Asunder is pretty much all mage x templar so you see little of the rest

Asunder was OK. I will say that a certain event in the book should not have taken place. Not everyone reads or has time to read.

Addition to this debate, I loved my mother's contribution to this.

She is encouraging my 25 year old younger brother to become gay, because (and I quote) "I would rather have son-in-laws than daugther-in-laws":P
Alas mother, my brother is straight. Honestly people, turn down the paranoia. Who cares what gender people like? If they are happy surely that is more important. And why should they not have the same options as straight people in a game (or any where else, but I'll save that debate for another time;)?

As for Asunder, I liked it. I have a question though. I liked Wynne and Lelianna in DAO, but in this book I wanted to twist theirs necks for the better part of the book. Anyone else felt  like this?

There is a Dragon Age III Inquisition "Top 5 Things You Would Like To See". The mods are checking the list. It is a chance to show how big the Anders fan base is. And even the haters wanted to see Anders get his cat back, not a bad focus point if you need one. I would love to see Hawke with whichever companion doing things out in the world. Side by side with Anders saving the mages, pirating with Isabella, helping Templars or Qunari with Fenris, or camping out with the elves with Merrill. I would like to see more than "drunk in a bar" as a follow-up. Even if we don't get to hang out with them, it would be good to see them doing stuff in the world again.

Honestly, I'd only want to see Anders in DA3 if he managed to split from Justice somehow. I could easily imagine him to be quite a dejected figure after DA2. I'd love to see a sidequest with him discovering something that will allow Justice to return to the fade. Or, perhaps some abomination craziness happens (Justice fully corrupted) and the hero manages to exorcise him. Anders picks himself up and becomes a new(er) man. Still with a mature look on things (unlike DAO) but without the weight of the world on him (like in DA2).

And yes, Pounce needs a cameo.

I agree. IF Anders returns (and I hope the hell he does) we should be given the option to help him remove the Spirit of Jackass...er Justice....inside of him.

Personally DA 2 could have been much much better then it was, I just hope DA 3 does not come out to be just as OK as DA 2 or worse.

They are putting in armor customization and are working with a new engine.  There is a blog piece in the DAIII Inquisition section that has a sample image.  Reminds me of Elder Scrolls for landscape, but don't read too much into that.  It just had a mountain backdrop that was nice but it really wasn't enough to get any kind of feel off of other than it would be different in appearance than our last locations.

But DO stop by and let them know you would like to see Ander's story continued for those who had him live.  (I am pushing that Justice should be around as an implacable foe of the Templars if Anders was killed.  A redemption/complete fall arc for Anders would be quite powerful as a storyline.)  But at the least, stop by that thread and put Anders in your top 5.  Squeaky wheel is the one that gets the grease after all.

Do check out the armors section.  Their "character" choices for showing off armor looks like Cassandra and someone who looks like a more bearded version of male Hawke to me.  Perhaps someone else could identify him since they said they were not continuing with Hawke?

Oh, perhaps I should share a link to the page for people?

Here's to getting Anders another round!  Cheers!

I would have wanted a quest to free Anders from Justice in an expansion, but since Hawke won't be a big part of DA3, I'd just as soon they left it alone. Not because I don't like the idea (although I admit that I have mixed feelings about it), but if anybody is going to be messing around with Anders's head, I would rather it be Hawke.

Fortunately, my workplace is mainly my home, so I can stare all I want. And after recently reading a totally sizzling fanfic, I have way too many thoughts in my head.

You are one lucky hobbit. I have to stealthily scroll past with the speed of the great heralds, which is an offense to the sizzling beauty of the picture ;__; But, what can ya do.

Use your cell phone?  Haha, I do that if I don't want my Internet usage logged when I actually do have to go to work.  Our IT peeps track our website usage if red flags show up.  And, I choose a desk where I see EVERYONE coming near my desk.  Yeah, speed clicking.  Sometimes not fast enough. :innocent:

<sigh> if only we had Anders around to cast Blindness on workmates and such....

Or Cone of Cold.  I looooooove that spell!

Sadly, my phone's charge life is pathetic and I already need it for music. I just have hone my ninja skills. A day will come when I shall stare at erotic pictures and no one will know!

Oh, Cone of Cold! That was my favourite spell in DAO outside of the spec. ones (Blood Wound is broken but awesome).

My boss whistles wherever he goes. You can hear him coming a mile away. And it's a darned good thing.
