Love that image, Cantina!
This made me think of a screenshot I took in the Fade during my last playthrough. I installed an Anders-specific staff that's the same model as that one with the two dead cats on it. The creator of the mod called it the "Ser-Pounce-a-Lot & Mr Wiggums" staff and insisted that the cats be considered as plushies. Anyway, there's an option to make them have glowing Justice eyes...
Which led to the rather silly fact that, once inside the Fade, both Anders and the cats had glowing eyes:

Ta-da!
Coincidentally, I also somehow managed to rival him on this playthrough, as I was gunning for the Mage Hunter and Crowning Glory achievements (and thus, my Hawke turned out to be a serious douchebag). But I'm too traumatised by the experience to remember what his manifesto said. Heck, I went "I'm sorry, Andy!

" out loud at a few particularly cringe-worthy moments. I couldn't push the indignity so far as to rivalmance him though. Heck, the only LI I could bear inflicting that particular Hawke on was Isabela. I also couldn't bear to make Anders side with the termplars at the end...which means

Ugh, happy thoughts!

In DA2, each act is a different time of day. Act 1 is lighted as if it were midmorning, act 2 as if it were midday, and act 3 as if it were late afternoon. Lighting in both acts 1 and 3 leaves a lot of areas in serious shadow.
I'd say that Act 1 was more mid afternoon, Act 2 was more early evening and Act 3 was mid morning....considering the whole midnight thing Anders says.
Wouldn't it make more sense for Act 3 to be evening, considering the midnight thing? I also thought the progression between acts went "morning-noon-evening". Makes sense with the whole "end of game = end of day + apocalyptic sunset" correspondence.
