It's called Ashara Party dress for MotA. Here's the link: http://dragonage.nex...s.com/mods/3205

Yes, it comes in different colors and also a couple of different styles. It also inclues a different style or two for M!Hawke as well.

Oh, durr, I actually know that one. I just didn't look at all the pics and so missed that particular style. Hmm...Might give it a go instead of the one I have for my next playthrough. Thanks for the idea!

Edit: Why hello there, ToP.

I agree that the outfit for f!Hawke in MotA is horrible. Even Talis looks more feminine. That said, I found a mod and this is the dress I chose for my Hawke to wear:

Oo, very nice! Which mod is this? Also, does the dress exist in other colours? I really like the style, but I'm not excessively fond of white.

That looks amazingly nice.  Is there a good alternate for the "smoking jacket" in the main game by chance?

That's part of the Freedom's Call mod. It includes a lot of outfit retextures for Anders, and that staff, which is the only thing I use (it comes as a standalone too). It's that model with the two dead cats plushies, which the author has taken to represent Ser Pounce-a-Lot and Mr Wiggums. As an added chuckle, you can choose to have the cats have glowing eyes, à la Justice, like so:

Image IPB

You can also choose how to obtain the staff (it's either sold in Lirene's Fereldan Exports, or you get it as a reward from either one of Anders' quests).

OMG. Dead glowing cats of doom. I can't decide if that's adorable or horrifying or badass.

Don't think I'll be getting it, though. I named my kitty Ser Pounce-a-lot, and I don't really want to think of him as a Justice-possessed taxidermy ornament on Anders' staff :D

Image IPB Well, I choose to think of them as plushies to minimise the fridge-horror element. The guy who made the mod also insists that they be considered as such.

Also, the fact that the staff has some pretty damn sweet stats helps. Good without being OP, and it scales to Anders' level.

Thanks for posting that link. There aren't a lot of cold-based staves in the game, and it's nice to have a special staff for Anders that actually evolves. I usually give him Freedom's Promise from the DLC, but a fire-based weapon doesn't really suit him. I'd give him Malcolm's Honor, but I tend to run mages myself, so they inherit their father's staff.

I believe there's a file to add any of them to the game to replace the "at home" outfit, yes.

No prob, glad the cats are getting a fanbase Image IPB

Although it's a bit strange hearing that fire doesn't suit Anders, considering his shenanigans. I'd never thought about what element would suit him, actually. The only mage I definitely associate with an element is Morrigan (cold), but that may just be because she's my default DAO mage and because I'm overly fond of Winter's Grasp.

I guess Velanna would be nature, that's a pretty straightforward match. Other mages...dunno.

I tend to go with Anders' line in Awakening and go with lightning. Image IPB

See, I always thought it was super-awkward to give Anders Daddy Hawke's naked lady staff.  Given what Bethany says about Anders resembling Malcolm in some ways and the daddy issues that can get brought up during Legacy...implications unpleasant

Lol...Well, according to the Wiki, that's supposed to be a carving of Andraste. Which doesn't really make things better, when you think about it: Sebastian has Andraste's face on his crotch, Malcolm had a naked Andraste on his staff...

Heh, his staff *gets shot*

Anyway, been thinking some more about elements, and I would actually match Anders with fire, because he's passionate. Or spirit, for obvious reasons. Wynne would be earth, because she's stable, reliable and blunt (and comes with earth spells). Morrigan cold, Velanna nature. Still not sure about Merrill or Beth. Lightning's the only remaining element, and it doesn't seem to fit either of them much (although Merrill did end up with several lightining spells on my last playthrough). Although if Anders is fire, Merrill could be spirit. Beth...maybe earth as well.

I usually matched Bethany to the elemental tree, particularly fire, because adorable Bethany with her boomstick of incineration is just too freaking cool.  She's the sweetest baby sister ever, but she will totally melt that jerkass templar into a pile of slag.

Lightning I gave to my mage Hawke.  "The cold blooded fire," so to speak, and by Act 3, it matched her personality pretty damn well.

RE: Malcolm's staff--what is it with Andraste and inappropriately placed carvings?  There's also the one in the Black Emporium

With the staves, I usually give Malcolm's staff to Hawke to symbolize how he has taken up the responsibility of caring for his family (their fates sit ill with him, but he tried). Previously, Anders got the staff of Parthalan or Freedom's Promise until Cold-Blooded became available. I figured that he had become so cold by Act 3 that a cold-based staff suited him. Bethany rarely survived the prologue in my playthroughs, but when she did, I would not really take her out much. I found her to be a little bland for my tastes, and Anders & Merrill had the healing/DPS covered, so there wasn't really a need. I haven't really found a good staff for Merrill yet. I'd like to give her a good nature staff, but there aren't a lot of them. In Origins, the Warden got all the staves. Since I (almost) always play mages, there wasn't much of a need to bring Morrigan around and I really dislike Wynne.

The various blood magic staves in-game tend to go to Merrill for me.  My Hawke's a blood mage, but I can just grab modded armor for her to boost her blood magic.

I almost always play mages too--since being a Harry Potter fan as a kid, I've decided there's something really special about being able to throw spells around.  Never quite the same as any other class.  That said, DA3 I'll play a rogue first--after playing two mages, I'd really like to see the mage/templar conflict through the eyes of someone more "normal."

I give Hawke Malcom's honor and then have coldblooded reserved for when I fight shades. (Bloody spirit immunity)
Anders gets Freedom's Promise. The name is just too fitting.
Merrill gets some staff from Mtoa since I play that dlc in arc three. Untill that I give her magister's scytche.
Since I play mages Bethany is always dead, so no staff for her.

I've just paid a fortune for The Final Thought from the Black Emporium. Nature/Spirit damage with some other nice stats. Hope it's worth it!

Apparently, Andraste was a feisty one. No wonder the Maker was all over that! I mean, who wouldn't want a piece of dimpled butt on fire?

Not sure about them knickerweasels though...Image IPB

Given some of the DA:O codices, knickerweasels would not be out of place.

Poor Sad!Anders in that last pic.

Also, am I the only one who wishes you had control over Hawke's facial expressions in cutscenes?  Imagine that scene with trollface Hawke in the background
