Only thing that saved my Warden was that DAA has no romance otherwise she'd be toast !

My cousland warden would have been faithful to Alistair.

But my Amell he dumped so cruelly(forgot to harden Alistair" would have jumped his bones as soon as she got the chance. And they are so curel. Giving us flirt options and evrything.

Ah, yes...I watched that one...and its the one that made me think of adding in that mod just before I have Anders come to my bedroom...so much more appropriate, I think...

Edit: Just watched it again (because, you know, science), and the video paused for a moment in the epilogue where it says "Well...all except Anders." <3 And by the way...now that I know you make vids...I had an idea...if you have time, that is.

I like putting him in the Grey Warden outfit because his arms are still pretty thin in it. I agree, shirtless doesn't really seem like Anders to me - to get that jacked, he'd have to have more than one obsession Justice doesn't approve of...

And um...so I just finally started playing Awakening tonight on my Xbox...and um...while it is a bit strange to hear Anders talking with a different voice (for me, at least)...dang it, I keep having to remind myself that this particular Warden is very happily secretly married to Alistair...but it's not stopping me from thinking thoughts about those mage robes and what Anders said about them...

i was exactly the same way the first time i played awakening.  i had played DA2 first, so it was really weird for me to hear a sarcastic cullen speaking through anders >.>  i also had to constantly remind myself that my cousland is supposed to be firmly in love with alistair and would never cheat on him....didn't stop me from taking anders on every single quest though   i barely won that battle though....it's probably for the best that there are no romance options in awakening xD 

RE anders in da3....i hope they don't have something diabolical in store for him >___>;;  of course, i would love it if anders and possibly hawke made a cameo, but i'd rather there was no cameo an evil let's-mess-with-the-anders'-fans-plan.  i'm quite happy with my headcanon where anders and garrett are fugitives and eventually meet my cousland warden.

Sorry to make fun of your typo, but when I first looked at that, I did think it was meant to be Curel, the body lotion.  I thought you meant Anders had very soft skin.   Of course, I'm sure he does..... delicate but strong magey hands.....

Oh, great. And now I'm thinking about his hands...strong, lean fingers...a bit of a callus along the base of the fingers from his staff...

Help! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I just can't get the Rival romance to trigger.
I've got full rivalry and I've never selected the 'broken heart' option. I've also tried leaving Darktown after the post-'Dissent' conversation and returning for 'Questioning Beliefs'.
Do you have to have flirted more than a couple of times to trigger it?
Very frustrated!

You have to have flirted once in Act 2 prior to the QB conversation and you need to flirt once during QB itself. Apart from that, sorry, don't know.

I had Isabela's romance glitch out on me once. I thought I had done everything right, but no joy. In the end, I had to use the console and runscript zz_isa_debug to set the romance flag to active and then going to the Hawke home. You could try that with Anders. Make sure you have a good save before you start tweaking the console, then runscript zz_and_debug, set the romance flag to active and try QB. If that doesn't work, you'll have to go back to your clean save and try something else.

From the Dragon Age 2 wiki, concerning a rivalmance with Anders:

RE: Act 2 Questioning Beliefs quest

"For Rivalry (pursuing rivalmance):
If Hawke asks Anders about his writing (question mark), he reads some of it aloud, leading to further discussion about mages.

• Choosing the humorous dialogue option after he reads his
  manifesto ("You need to lighten up") will prompt Anders to confess his
  love and kiss you, even if you didn't choose any flirtatious lines
  during this quest.

• If you choose the aggressive option ("I'm not arguing with
  you"), you will have two flirt options (which lead to the kiss) and one
  "end romance" option.

• Choosing the diplomatic option avoids all romance options. Do not pick this if you want to pursue rivalmance.

These rivalry romance options (after investigation) will only be available if:
1. You flirted with Anders in conversation at any point before this quest or
2. Did not reject Anders (did not opt to "end romance") in Talk to Anders after he expresses romantic interest in you (after picking the diplomatic option "You did the right thing" in Talk to Anders)
Otherwise, no rivalry dialogue lines during this conversation
trigger the romance scene. You must "express interest" (flirt icon) in
any dialogue quest at some point before this quest to "activate"
rivalmance if he did not flirt with you before."

I've not done a rivalmance with Anders, only with Fenris (and boy, was he picky! I couldn't even flirt with Isabela before hand...).

During his questioning beliefs in act two, did you first ask him about his manifesto and then choose the diplomatic option? Cause then he won't kiss you senseless.

Nah. Didn't choose any diplomatic responses, having consulted the Wiki (as posted by @Caeleinn - thanks for that!).
I've tried @berelinde's suggestion once, without success, but that's probably down to technical ineptitude rather than anything else! Now that I know it won't necessarily kill my game and make my PC explode, I'm going to try again.

Ohh, I love that little smirk and it's even better that it's accompanied by a sexy little swagger as he walks toward you!  I know you can only get that little scene if you choose "Lets do something fun." or something like that.  I think it's the middle option, after you give him the key.

I managed to capture that quick little smile he gives you when you tell Thrask you'll help the mages during the Act of Mercy quest. Happy Anders smile, FTW!!<3
