I like the way you think. :D

And oh, I had so forgotten how adorably sweet he is in the Deep Roads, when your sibling gets ill.  I didn't get nearly enough screenshots of those cut scenes last night....but in my defense, it was nearly 4am by the time I got to that point.
I did, however, get this one...

Oh yeah, I'm in the Deep Roads right now, and have taken Carver with me. Poor baby, you'll soon be doomed to become a Warden! :'D
That'S one of the reasons the Anders romance is so special to me >////< I mean, none of the other companions has done such a great service to Hawke as saving her/his sibling :crying: I always feel like showing my graditude with friendship isn't nearly enough xD

Oh, and I must say your Hawke is damn pretty! <3

 I wrote a gushy blurb on my tumblr a while ago about the same thing:

He becomes family to Hawke when s/he’s losing all her original family. Some of my favorite scenes are those where he advocates for Carver in front of the Grey Wardens, comforts Hawke after Leandra’s death, and (in banter) expresses sympathy for the loss of Bethany. (Yes, I usually play a mage.) It’s endearing to see him try to be part of Hawke’s life while he’s dealing with so much of his own sh!t at the same time. The fact that he’s so involved - and that he physically moves in with Hawke - helps fill in that vacant spot when his/her sibling and mother disappear.

THIS! He's basically the perfect son-in-law! He gets along with Bethany the from the beginning, and even though he and Carver had their disputes, I believe that they would get used to each other in time.

Without bashing the other companions, what did they do? Fenris the ****** insults Bethany when recruiting him and Isabela seems to be a family person (though I really like her banters with Bethany when she tries to help her get laid xD). Merril though is really caring towards the twins, but ass we know, Leandra seems to have her bias towards elves...

Whatever, that's the reason why it doesn't sit well for me to kill Anders while romancing him. As you said, he is the last thing close to a family member to Hawke, and seriously, who would to such a thing?:crying:

Ya your Hawke and your Anders are both hot :wizard:

@Gentiana - I always make Carver a Warden, he grows up so much as a person when he is Warden! It is for his own good ^_^

And ya, there is no one as tender and supportive as Anders . I only dislike how mean he is with Merril when he is doing almost the same thing but I guess that is why she annoys him: he sees himself in the mirror.

I love this too, but I admit I love him more when I play a rogue.

His conversations make him seem even more protective of Hawke and Hawke truly helps him without very much to gain from it.<3

My favourite is when Bethany is locked in the circle and during his QB quest he vowes that he will make a world were Bethany can be free again. I get all flusterred over that comment every time!

*makes a happy little fangirly squee*

I had a conversation with a friend last night and wondered if it was so wrong to be obsessed like this over a video game character...and then she pointed out that we had both had obsessions about the Doctor (aka Doctor Who) as played by David Tennant...and the Doctor was a purely fictional character as well.  So now, I don't feel so guilty about my Anders love. <3

There was another line that he made during the Sheparding Wolves quest...when Sister Patrice is first introduces you to Ketojan/Serrabas, Anders comments that he had never considered the plight of mages outside of Thedas...and then later, during a banter with Isabela, he makes a comment that he sometimes wishes he was still that selfish. It was just such a great moment of insight into him...and that touch of self doubt and fear and wishing you didn't have or had taken on such great responsibilty. *sigh*  Just makes me want to reach in and pull him out and hold him and pet him and tell him that it would all be okay.

And if someone was directing the "hot Anders and hot Hawke" comments towards me...all I can say is I love my mods.

Oh, good excuse for me to play more! More screenshots! And I'm in to Act 2 on this play through now...can't wait to see how this Anders looks when he's putting out milk for the kitties.

Are there two separate mods there (one for his armor and one for the face morph) or is it a package deal? I would like a sleeveless Anders for my next playthrough, but I don't want to change his face...

The mod I used is a complete package, including the face morph and hair, 2 armors (one for Act 3, also sleeveless and totally AWESOME looking), and the staff.  BUT, the face morph is separate and you don't have to use it.  The modder also includes stand alone versions of the armor, and a flipped version of the staff, which is the one I am using so that the blade is pointed upward on his back.  I know there are also mods elsewhere for the hair and earring that you can use that will not change his "vanilla" face.

The mod I used is called Anders of the Anderfels and can be found here on Dragon Age Nexus.  There are a few other required mods for this one to work, but on the whole, I have found those additional mods to be worth it.  I don't know if they are necessary if all you want is the armor, though. Check through the comments section, I found some good info in there.

Edit: Found the hair/earring mod for you. It is here.

Alright, I am now posting the first dragon age drawing I find even slight worthy posting. This is my first drawing I have coloured in photoshop, but considering I think I did alright. I am not completely satisfied with him, but I love how she turned out. Explanation; it's made for my Fanfiction Do No Harm, where my Hawke has memory loss and the drawing displays both her personalities.

I just wanted to say that all of you on the Anders thread have been so kind since I started posting on here.  I admit, what brought me to the BSN was actually Mass Effect and a certain biotic man named Kaidan.  However, there were certain people on his thread that were just plain old rude. If you didn't have the same viewpoint they did, then you weren't worth their time, that sort of thing.:?

I've seen a little sig bar around here that says the Anders thread is more fun; everyone's kissing everyone.  It is true; this thread is more fun.  So, yeah...I'll be sticking around this one for a while, cuz the Anders fangirls are awesome.B)

Ogeez, that does look painful. HEARTPUNCH!

I also agree with the sentiment expressed above that the Anders thread is awesome. Reminds me a bit of the Garrus thread of yore. A big collective hug to all!

So I picked up Sebastian this evening...and took him, Anders, and Aveline to the Wounded Coast with me.  And this happened.

Image IPB

It's almost like Anders is telling Sebastian to stop staring at his Hawke.  And this wasn't the only occurence of it.  Everytime Sebastian stared at Hawke, Anders turned to stare at him with those little frowny lines between his eyebrows.  It was adorable.

My best friend romanced Anders but took the flirty Sebastian options (friendship path) on her playthrough, and it really adds another element to his whole warning about Anders.  Love triangle of angst FTW.

Really cute! :D
Had it in my first playthrough, too. I decided to drink the Maker's Sighpotion in the middle of Hightown and suddenly Hawke stood there in her underwear (never fails to amuse me). I think I made a screenie on which Fenris staring at Hawke looking quite horrified (screw you, broody elf!) and Anders giving him a judgemental look 'Dude, stop looking at my half naked girlfriend! <_<' xD

Omgosh!  That happened to me not too long ago when I was playing DA:O dlc, Golems of Amgarrak.  I'd just picked up a Greater Tome of the Mortal Vessel (+2 attribute points, woohoo!) and used it, then wondered what the Memoirs of the First Wardens would do...so I used it.  And suddenly, I was standing there in the Deep Roads with a dwarf, a bronto, and a Golem...and my little Dalish Warden was in her undies with no weapons. Turns out that Memoirs worked like the Maker's Sigh potion.  It was really too bad Alistair wasn't with me...I'd have given him a PDA he would have remembered for years. ^_^
