Plus I do have an AVI of them on my Ipod, with all the "no armor" mods on...

Did I just say that aloud ? :bandit:

Why, yes...yes, you did.  Be proud!  I mean, the vids are on YouTube, after all...

Printscreen with the video on pause, I swear!  I just used Photoshop to crop out the extraneaous bits...

and, um...I actually created a special photo that I printed out and put into a frame to take to work with me.  One half of it is my RL boyfriend...the other half is Anders.  Cuz he's my video game boyfriend, you know?  That's...that's not weird at all, is it?

So Anders is fighting in the buff??! I am reminded by the one time my friend was making a work presentation. She had these buff photos of Orlando Bloom as her screensaver. During Question Period, the screensaver popped up.

Currently, I have Anders as my wallpaper. It is a totally G-rated artwork, but still, I don't want to elicit snickers.

Okay I don't get it. Where does everyone get the idea that he had a gay relationship with Karl? All the dialogue seemed platonic to me.

You get that info if you play as a male Hawke and choose the first flirt option with Anders.  Anders tells Hawke that Karl was "the first".  Video reference for you:

35 seconds in is where the conversation about it starts.:D

Oh, well, parallel universe. I bet in the femHawke universe, he isn't gay, but once you press dat romance option in MaleHawke universe, he is gay.

Anyways, I've decided that I can't romance anybody else. I tried doing a Sebastian romance run-through, or a pure Fenris run-through, and I just couldn't do it.

As soon as Anders comes on screen....hhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggg I can't resist <3<3<3

I can't argue with your choice of pics there, Caeleinn. I love Ander's raven feathers, but the osprey or gyrfalcon get up looks pretty good to me as well. ^-^

I seriously need to play that particular game more, so I can get more smexy screenshots...and finally get him into the oh-so-yummy black outfit in the 3rd act. Hey, I finally have two whole days off this weekend...should I finish writing the next chapter of my story...or play?

Meh, I'll do both!

Same here, only way I could romance Fenris and Isabela was because I knew I could still go back to my sweet magey and it would add hilarious banter to the PT :P

PS: She's here!!! Anders writer Jenifer Hepler just posted on the DA3 forums. I hope she comes by this thread so we can pick her brain and thank her for our favorite DA character

As a matter of interest: in 'The World of Thedas' there is a picture of Anders (not desperately flattering, admittedly) with the caption 'Anders is an apostate Mage who claimed responsibility for the destroying of the chantry of Kirkwall'.

Note the present tense...

Another interesting thing in the WOT book: the Seers of Rivain engage in voluntary possession. Does that mean they know a way to reverse it?...?

I also get the impression that Sebastian will turn up again, as, in the section on Starkhaven, there is a reference to the failed plot to wipe out the entire Vael family in 9:31. I don't think his parting shot in DA2 was written in without any intention to follow it up. An Anders/ Sebastian show-down would be fab!

The whole book is presented as the state of Thedas post DA2/Asunder, so It looks as though we're going to see some interesting things...

I may have to pick that up.  I didn't realize there was another book out for DA of any kind.  They did have plans for another expansion for DA2 originally.  It seems likely that Sebastian will show up in DA3, although I avoided the whole download after learning he was against my favorite mage...and that he had no sense of personal space, lol.  I kind of thought they rolled it into DA3. I do think the developers are going to try to give us some sense of completion or continuity in DA3 depending on which choices we have made.  This would make me very happy indeed.:D

I have been waiting for the release of this book for a while now.  Will have to pick it up on my next payday, especially since it mentions our favorite apostate.  That was one of the main reasons I read Asunder, aside from the fact that I was curious as to how the rest of Thedas had reacted to the events in Kirkwall.

Waiting for DA3 is worse than waiting for a new season of your favorite TV show, or a sequel to a good movie. :P  Thanks goodness for fanfiction and fanart!

Just realized that my love and adoration for Anders has far eclipsed my love for a certain dark haired biotic man from the other awesome Bioware video game series.  Does it say something about me that I like men that happen to glow blue?

I'm keeping my expectations on DA3 low so I can be easiliy suprised in a positive way! ^^
Oh well, I'll be happy if at least Anders is mentioned in some way...*sniff*

And shamelessly promoting my art, I want to contribute something to the shirtlessness from above:

Something more from WoT.
In the section on the Fade there are some anecdotes about it (including one by Oghren...) and one 'From a partially destroyed journal bearing no name, found in a cistern in Kinloch Hold'. It describes a Harrowing in which 'The demon they made me face took the shape of a great cat. As we battled, it spoke to my mind. It told me that I would eventually stumble, and then it would pounce'.
It concludes: 'This was my Harrowing. They force this upon mages and call it good. But it is neither good nor right. It is evil and unjust.'

Sound like someone we know...?

Because my friend Nancy loves Anders more than anyone else in Dragon Age, I typed up The Anderfels page for her. Yeah the whole thing, NO DEVS I SWEAR I AM NOT DOING IT FOR THE WHOLE BOOK my hands hurt too much, but oh wow, the insight.

http://wiltedartist....nancy-cough-the

I feel kind of sad now because wow, what Anders did means even his whole HERITAGE is against him. I think I need to give the poor guy a hug. ..

Anders, that bloody murderer. I didn't like him in Awakening-- started to like him in DA2 until he/Justice decided to be a terrorist. Anders reminds me of that Oklahoma bomber Timothy Mcveigh; killing innocents for the sake of "Justice" and change. Just sickening. I can't believe my Warden recruited him into the Wardens. My Hawke romanced him for saving Bethany's life in the Deep Roads, and I even supported his manifesto.

Anders = Terrorist, bottom line. I'll be interested to see what the infograph % is for those who sided with him (I personally let him go, costed me Sebastion) if Bioware ever releases it. It's been years since I played DA2, but every time I see Anders or hear his voice I just get so sick in my stomach... the writers did an amazing job.

Anders character is very well written, no doubt about that.

What I like most about the terrorist story arc is that players who don't even blink at killing anyone who looks at them askance and barely notice the viscount's head rolling towards their feet all of a sudden wake up from their numbness to violence and cry for the victims in the chantry. The same players that probably played Awakenings and recruited that "bloody murderer" Velanna without thinking twice and think Sten is "awesome" even though he murdered an entire family, kids included. So did Fenris.. murdered an entire tribe. But none of that gets past the player's numbnes to violence. Anders' act somehow shocks players out of their complacency for bloody murder. Well written indeed.
