Anders and his basket of kittens is now my wallpaper. It's a good image to start the day with, I think!

On the topic of a post-DA2 expansion, I like the suggestion that was put forward a week or so ago, that Hawke starts out with a single companion, the one that chose to stay when all the others had gone. If you chose not to romance anyone, or your lover left or died during DA2, you start with Varric instead. Any other companions you pick up later would be new characters that would have more importance in DA3 (or even returning ones from DA:O?). It would keep the familiarity from what we did in Kirkwall but also allow them to set up more of the story for later, just like in Awakening.
I'm torn between believing DA3 will be Hawke and the Warden either fighting against or beside each other and hoping that DA3 will introduce a third hero and we'll have the three-way conclusion in DA4. I'd like to string out the suspense a little more, but I'm also dying to know what the hell is going on.

As for DLCs, I think there was mention of filling in the missing years, so I'll be extra, extra sad if they start introducing never-to-be-seen-again characters like Finn, Sigrun and Jerrik when there are plenty of well-loved companions right there in the city with you! It's not like in DA:O where everyone almost immediately splits up and goes their own ways at the end, so I'd hate to miss the chance of more content with our friends.

Also, the playlist has been updated with the suggestions people threw out overnight. Don't hesitate to let me know if you think of one that fits.

Here's a song dedicated not just to the Fanders here, but to everyone that loves BioWare's romances.

EDIT: Can I just say, since we had an older song go up, Slippin' Into Darkness by WAR would probably be pretty good for Anders.

I still haven't been able to find a song that fits Kaya and Anders/Justice. Their relationship is just too unusual? I know a few songs that work for split-personalities, but none for someone who's in love with both. xD

I do find it ironic that many of us spent all of Awakening throwing our Wardens at Anders to no avail and now we can't even stop him from falling for Hawke.

The irony is amazing. I also spent a lot of time in Awakening trying to make my Warden flirt with Anders and Justice. Oddly enough, I felt like she was having better luck with Justice after his talk about knowing the way Kristoff felt for his wife and wanting something beautiul. And it was adorable.

The first time I heard Anders say the "I'll break your heart" bit I immediately thought of the song "Break Your Heart" by Taio Cruz. And NOW I can't get it out of my head. It's definitely the song for my F!Hawke and Anders xD

Oh, here's one for f!Hawke and Anders. Change the third verse to something a little more dramatic, and I can imagine this in the days leading up to the final confrontation. With or Without You could work for the days following, just requiring the listener to take the words with a different meaning than intended.
I'm depressing myself now, time to go listen to Merrill ponder the Qunari.

Well, the one reason I didn't kill him for lying to me was because he looks almost exactly like my husband. Seriously. Bioware got the jawline a little too narrow, but otherwise... it's uncanny.
Old graphics Anders never really looked like him, but as soon as I went into the clinic in DA2, I had to pause the game and start taking screen captures.  I was like:
Ok, I thought, maybe it was just me. So, I sent the pics off to family members. "Does this look like anyone to you?"
It wasn't just me. Wow. I've never run into a video game character that looked like anyone I knew before and I've been playing video games since before they had faces - biggest surprise I've ever gotten from a Bioware game.
Hubby doesn't have a pony tail or wear dead bird pauldrons, but someone mentioned Anders's strange body type many pages back - it's called "mountain biker". I bet if you could search that clinic you'd find one hidden somewhere.

I can't decide whether it's weird, creepy, or just plain awesome - or all three. I got to the inevitable betrayal and ended up throwing my mouse at him and yelling, "WHY?!" (jokingly. He's playing it too.)
