1. Oh my, Bioware does make one a tad sorry to fall for characters... they are so cruel to our hearts.  So cruel!  First, Alistair dumps you if you're not human and noble and NOT a mage... unless he's not made king.  Now Anders and his whole tragic larger than life persona and cause... I adore your characters Bioware but you really know how to break a girl's heart at times!  You made me kill my favourite character in order to choose the other side.  BOO.

OMG.  The video is from the person that wrote the fanfic of a templar siding mage/rivalromance with Anders that kills him at the end and whatnots?
Oh my.  You stomped all over my heart and make me cry TWICE yesterday, the second time for like a half hour.  That writing is so beautiful but ACK broke my heart.  Broke it.  Poor Anders, poor poor Anders.

Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I started laughing when I heard it on the radio. Then I thought maybe it was terrible that I would laugh. After doing the Act3 Sebastian quest, I think Elthina brought this on herself. I tried to send her away, I really did...I even thought "Go away with Sebastian!" Really, how stubborn! And it is not like she wanted to do something remaining there, no no, she just wanted to stand there with her flock >.> I think she wanted this somehow, he even saw the "troubled" Anders, I think she imagined something, and still wanted to be a sort of martyr. Andraste did not volunteer for the flame, but she did somehow >.<

And btw, thanks to Ryzaki for posting that rivalmance dialogue with Justice showing up. I didn't expect that to happen Poor Anders, he was really losing it...

I was showing him that Viva La Revolution picture someone posted a few pages back last night. Said I was going to put one on a t-shirt and wear it to bed. He just went <_< and turned away. He doesn't like Anders. I don't know why... maybe because I tease him about his ingame doppelganger relentlesly.
I should probably ask him what he thinks about the plight of mages.

I just did this again last night. She arrogantly stands there and says she's the Grand Cleric, "who would dare kill me?" Well, for starters, Anders is right behind you...
This seems like the perfect time for Sebastian to speak up about Hawke's crazy apostate boyfriend - he's RIGHT there! But nope. /face palm

A million times this. Anders was such a gut punch. I wasn't expecting sunshine and daisies but still. BW better at least give me a way to have a mostly happy ending with Garrus. You could have a mostly happy ending with Alistair. As happy as two Wardens can be with the taint and all.

Neverfear, it has nothing to do with him looking like Anders... my boyfriend growls now whenever I say the word "Anders" no matter what it is.  Considering he stopped playing Fallout:New Vegas for weeks to seriously ponder which faction to side with, I think he shouldn't be growling at me getting so involved with a game.

Hey, I romanced Kaidan.  And BW apparently hates Kaidan/Ashley fans.  So I am doubting that ME3 will be a happy fangirl squee-fest for me, but I always have hope.

Garrus-mancers should be okay, though, so at least 2 of my Shepards will be happy.  Seriously, Garrus is the man and everyone knows it.  BW wouldn't dare mess with Garrus (I hope).

Maybe not! I'm pretty sure that DA2 should have fulfilled BW's collective need for coffee-maker tears for at least a few more years, so they can maybe afford to give us all happy endings in ME3?

Not only does Justice flip out, it effectively ends the relationship if you don't tell Anders that it was a ruse. That conversation is heartbreaking, too, because he's something like, "I have been driving myself mad thinking of what possibly could be worth enough to you that you would strike me down. Did you even know if I'd wake up again?" It's pretty intense to think about, yet Fenris doesn't even bring up the "I tried to kill you in the Fade" later, he's just angry at Hawke for taking him (as a rival).

You can still flirt with Anders later, but he dismisses it with "Don't tease me; you've already made it clear that we're just friends. And I'm fine with that."

It's true, none of the other companions really discuss the fact that, as far as we knew at the time, they had just literally tried (and semi-succeeded) to kill each other.  They apologize for their weakness and betrayal, but the fact that "Hey... I tried to kill you.  You killed me!  Holy $%#@!" doesn't really come up.  Makes sense for Anders, I suppose, since Hawke was the one who did the betraying.

Don't you dare kill him while I'm in the room, because he looks like you, and ew ew ew! He's your healer. I hope Meredith kills you." It went something like that. In the end, he let him live and sided with the mages. LOL
I did get a dirty look because I forgot to mention the part where Sebastian turned on him for letting Anders live. :innocent:

My manShep romanced Ashley and thus spent the entirety of ME2 pouting. It didn't help that ladies felt compelled to throw themselves at him despite his sulking. I feel like the guy deserves something in ME3 for getting nothing more than a whistful look at a picture for a romance scene.

I am hoping surviving both a rocket to the face and a suicide mission will be enough to give Garrus plot armor for ME3.

Oh well, if Anders is any indication, I will love it anyway. Then again, despite everything, I try to remain optimistic that things will sort of, somehow work out for Anders, even if he doesn't show up in any more games.

Me too, my ultimate paragon Shep romanced and remained faithful to Ashley, even in the face of Tali's blatant and adorable admiration, and I dare not think how he's going to be repaid for his fidelity. But I guess if he only gets laid before suicide missions then he's only missed one opportunity.

I would never do it, I think my evil mage is going to entertain the offer... and then when Justice is all like... CHOOSE... I'm going to be "Topor you die" because even my evil mage has such a crush on Anders.

Yeah, glad the bf doesn't play this game.  He always tries to play very goodie too shoes smartasses, but I fear he'd kill Anders. Just on the count of how annoying I've been all fangirl-like about Anders.  Hehehe.

Blargh, that's so depressing. He makes quite a good point though. And even if he'd woken up, who's to say killing him there wouldn't have made him tranquil, which would have been more evil. I'm glad he brings it up, at least, even though no one else does.

Since that sounds so heartbreaking, I'm happy my mainHawke is the kill demons first, ask questions never type. My favorite being the demon down in the deep roads. Warrior Hawke was so freaking epic when she was like, "You want to make a deal? How about this deal? DIE!" *epic sword lunge*

Yeah, I was convinced my husband would kill Anders. He spent most of the game calling Anders a dick and saying how much he hated the man. But then the moment came... and he let him live. He told him to leave, but he didn't kill him. Boy was he pissed when Anders came back after he sided with the mages. I think he may have killed him then given the opportunity.
