@Addai We like talking about the implications of what he's done and his character, so you're not flaming. It's actually interesting that there's such a dichotomy of opinions about him even within his fan base. I'm firmly of the opinion that Justice and Anders should be merged happily, blowing up the Chantry was the only way to free mages - but some think it's necessary to get him to struggle against Justice, some think Rivalry is better for him, some think Friendship. Some believe that the act at the end of the game was unforgivable, some believe he deserved to die for it, some would have helped.

He's just a fabulous character IMO, so many different opinions and options!

Its because Anders is so freaking complicating. There are a lot of people who outright HATE him, a lot of people who really ADORE him, and many more who are simply conflicted.

I haven't heard anyone post "Eh. Anders. I forgot he was there most of the time" or "Didn't much care either way. Indifferent to his character".

Hepler really did a crazy job.

Really? Even if you explain afterwards that you were just playing along and get a ton of friendship points?

If you do the deal you can't say you were playin around. He breaks it off.

If you lie to the demon at first yeah you can kill him and get friendship but if you actually go through with the deal? Nope.

Lie option didn't even come up.

So he's still romancable if you lie to the demon and have to kill Justice?

@Thenyxie The artist is called Sweet Candy Rain on Deviant Art. The old fan thread is here. The picture is no longer up on DevArt because of some issues the artist had there. But she has some other stuff as well.

Thanks for letting me know! :)

Who did that?  I must plant myself at their feet to thank them forever for such... omg hotness!
I am flustered... and blushing... at work.  o.O  Bad thread, bad!

Um... I found it in a random Google image search which took me an older forum thread here on the boards, and the person who posted it didn't say who did it. So I don't know, alas.

But it sure is nice to stare at :)

Did you see THIS one from earlier (not-quite NSFW, but close): http://towim.deviant...shful-202121184

AJKSKALKFJLSFJLS. BE STILL MY HEART.

You made me open up the bashful one again!  I am SO RED NOW AT WORK because of you.

ARG.
Sexy so sexy... *sigh*

Is it horrible of me that I laughed at your post?
I remember a movie about people playing table-top D&D killing NPCs willy-nilly cause they felt like it... it was hilarious.

No.

What made the movie funny?

Cause they killed NPCs that were quest givers... and the guy running the game was like ARG ICK you are ruining my story!!!
All they wanted to do was get to the bad guy and kill him, they could not be arsed to ask for any directions or chat with anyone.
And always... "so do I get any loot for killing the farmer?" after killing some poor NPC... hahahaha
And the dungeon master threatening to change the guy's alignment to evil.  "but I'm neutral!"  hahaha.  sorry, I should look up the title of the game... Something like Dorkness Rising...

I don't even play D&D, but reading about people hopelessly messing up their D&D games makes me lol, big time.

I love this webcomic: DM of the Rings

On one of my last professional submittals for writing my own stuff, I got the editor to tell my why she rejected my short story.  "I don't remember it."  I need to take notes from Ms. Hepler. ;)

"THE PICTURE" as we call it was done by this lovely lady on Deviant Art: Sweet Candy Rain. It's no longer posted up there, unfortunately, because she had some issues with trolling and nasty people, but there's some other awesome Anders art, as well as some gorgeous Assassins' Creed stuff. She rocks.

Awesomeness!  Thank you for link this.  Some of it is... well... it leaves me breathless.  *swoon*

I've always been fond of writing, but I have to admit that DA2 has really inspired me, and Ms. Helper really wowed me with her skills.  I was already fond of her work in DA:O, but wow, her characters in DA2 were amazing.

Makes me wonder if I could ever do something like that.  I don't even know where to begin!

As long as you DON'T accept the demon's deal and you tell him it was a ruse, he'll forgive you. He's freaked out, because he remembers you striking him down, but he gets over it. If you accept the deal, it's over. If you don't tell him it was a ruse when it was, it's over.

Well it's kind of hard to ignore the guy who makes the big pink poop bomb in Act 3.  But overall I would say I'm rather apathetic.

I like the friendship-rivalry idea in principle, but in practice the game is too short such that if you aren't in a romance with the character, you pretty much have to game the system.  The only character I've been able to get above 50 anything besides Fenris is Varric.

I just made Justice mad in the Fade.

Torpor is unbelievably hilarious.  "What human wanted to merge with a prig like that?" XDXDXD

Such a shame that Kaya can't slap him with her staff and say, "Don't insult my boyfriend!" xD It would be funny to see Justice facepalm. Well, I guess it couldn't work anyway because Kaya wouldn't deal with demons (because she knows how much Anders/Justice hates it).

Psst guys,

Sorry for interrupting, but I've got a question. Is it necessary for Hawke to flirt with Anders in Act 1 to initiate the romance in Act 2? It's just that flirt options in Act 1 are on the OOC side for me... Still, I want to re-load and pick them - if that's obligatory for the romance - while I'm not that far yet...

Not sure. I only ever flirt with him. But there are less OOC flirt options in the first act, if you don't go the overt flirt in the first two instances Anders will flirt with YOU instead, and that's kind of sweet (you have to use the nice option, not the sarcastic one, though).

What? On all my playthroughs I got mostly over 75%, even when I had zero clue about anything.  Fenris was the only hard one cause we disagreed then agreed (complicated relationship that)... On  my second playthrough everyone was hopelessly at 100% before act 3 even.  Okay, maybe Isabela wasn't ...
Isabela is the only one I've had problems with.  I can't even get the rivalry thing with her *sigh*.  Maybe if I flirt and ****** her off *sigh*.

The Gamers: Dorkness Rising.
Which is a follow-up to 'The Gamers' but that is only if you like indie low budget movies.  It was still hilarious, mind you.

Don't remind me!  I wanted to rivalry with her and give her over but I don't think there's enough points left at this point to do it.  So I'm going to friend her JUST to give her to the Qunari.  Yes, talk about evil *muahaha*.

Thanks, that is good to know! I was afraid there would be no Act 1 flirt options after the 'Justice chose a nice looking body' one.

Oh, Anders. I'm coming for you! <3

Damn this imagined character for being so gorgeous!Posted Image
