What I'm wondering is what happens if you've got Varric on rivalry. I can't imagine getting that.

I was getting a lot of rivalry on him choosing either diplomatic or aggressive options.  He likes the sarcasm.

Ha! That's probably the reason I couldn't manage it. We had such a bromance going, I was hoping we'd fall madly in love and run off with our nutty apostate to engage in unspeakable acts of depravity and drunkeness.

HA!

No good smiting, that.

EDIT: Should be a conversation choice. "Sure, I'll sleep with you, but if you start doing the glowy thing, I'm kicking you out of the bed."

Harbinger's lines are both hilarious and brilliant. But my Kaya Hawke wants the comparison to end at "assuming/releasing control." Even she would be a little creeped out if Justice started saying, "I know you feel this." xD

Kaya: Justice, sweetie, you shouldn't kill that girl--
Justice: IF I MUST TEAR YOU APART, KAYA, I WILL.
Kaya: Oh, Maker. Critical Paragon persuade fail! Mission abort! Head for the Normandy!
Kane Amell: If your boyfriend starts talking about our genetic destiny, I'm going back to Ferelden.

Another good reason why Justice would be on the couch

Funny and heartbraking!

Edit: Probably should say NSFW !

I don't want to flirt with Isabela. Just ... no. It's bad enough I can never seem to help myself from flirting a bit with Anders even if not romancing him... I'm not going down the scandalous route of flirting with Isabela. No matter how much Anders goes on how Isabela is a side dish or whatnot. Just no.

But flirting with Isabela is...harmless. Isabela is cool. Isabela understands flirting to flirt because flirting can be fun and it really doesn't hurt her because she's not hung up on Hawke the way the other three can be. And the other three don't care, because it's Isabela. Isabela is cool.

Seriously. Isabela- flirt with her! Too many people avoid her and then she leaves and they hate her. It makes me sad.

It's funny, I've heard a lot of people be all THAT **** RAN OFF I HATE HER SO MUCH. She ditched me in my first playthrough too, but I didn't think I HATE HER I thought "Well, I suppose I'm not surprised, given I ignored her AND said I was going to hand it off to the qunari. I probably would've taken off with it too."

My NEXT playthrough I was like "OK, I need to give the girl a chance, even though I hate the fact she doesn't wear pants and I hate the melee rogue animations." And she is hilarious. I even wound up with a nice vibe between her and my MANHAWKE, where they slept together and were in a sort of relationship but then Merril got all hot for Hawke (we were rivals, rawr) and Isabella was all, "S'cool. If you hurt her, though, I'll cut your balls off." and we stayed friends or whatever. I dunno, it just felt like a cool relationship for MANHAWKE. I am totally making her a nice young man (sarcastic archer rogue, probably) to run off and pirate with as a reward.

I know you feel this.

This conversation reminds me of that comic, where Shepard is tripping balls from being with Thane and imagines him as Harbinger...

She is totally hilarious and really a good person if you give her a chance. Avaline and her are hilarious once they start getting along.

Sure, she's got some selfishness going on (which, considering the world she lives in and the life she's had, is almost healthy), she's shallow at times, she doesn't like all the charity cases, but she's not at all a bad person. I was sad that she ran out on me, i was so close to having her stay. I don't blame her, though.

But I'm a really easy guy. I'll pretty much like all characters/feel sorry for all characters if you make 'em human enough.

Anders: *blue glow*
Kaya: Justice? :D
Justice: I KNOW YOU FEEL THIS.
Kaya: ...You didn't learn all of your pick-up lines from Mass Effect, did you?
Justice: Yes. o_o Does that mean "the priiize" won't go over well?

Okay, okay, don't hate me... I already saved Isa's ass TWICE by fighting mano-a-mano for her and she wasn't even my love interest. I got her friendship pretty high and she was fun enough... I just don't dig rogue melee... I'm a "mostly AOE party" kind of girl. But she was fun, and cool.
But now I want to get back at her for leaving and making me fight TWICE for her and besides... this is my EVIL MAGE PLAYTHROUGH. I'm even letting my brother die just to see Fenris kidnapped, okay?

It's all super evil. It's meant to be so I can see the alternatives.
And still... I'm not becoming rivals with Anders. That's just one alternative I leave to others.

Isabela is hard to deal with because she's not the type of character I'd bring for fights. I bring her only for the banter, really. And she's hard to ****** off apparently *sigh*. +5 here and there, blah.
But I must must must see what it's like to give her over to the Qun and I'm getting rather evil-ish satisfaction out of this playthrough. Other than Fenris yelling at me o.O

Speaking of the priiiiize, my husband was playing an archer warlord in our 4th edition D&D game (stay with me here). One of his abilities was called "Risky Shot." And at one point he said he was going to do it, even though it was a "heavy risk." And so I of course said, "But the priiiiize."

Unfortunately my husband has never romanced Jacob, so he had no idea what I was talking about. But I thought it was funny, dammit.

I was showing him that Viva La Revolution picture someone posted a few pages back last night. Said I was going to put one on a t-shirt and wear it to bed. He just went <_< and turned away. He doesn't like Anders. I don't know why... maybe because I tease him about his ingame doppelganger relentlesly.
I should probably ask him what he thinks about the plight of mages.

o.O I guess he thinks Anders a terrorist eh?
Yeah! Totally ask about his thoughts on it.  He'd love that LOL

Oh, no. He just gets sick of me making Anders jokes. LOL
I wanted to dress him up and he was like, "No. WAY."
He's just not that geeky. *pout

Neverfear, it has nothing to do with him looking like Anders... my boyfriend growls now whenever I say the word "Anders" no matter what it is.  Considering he stopped playing Fallout:New Vegas for weeks to seriously ponder which faction to side with, I think he shouldn't be growling at me getting so involved with a game.  :P

The best was when he asked ME what he should do after the Chantry went ka-boom. He goes, "What should I do with him?" and points at the screen. I say, "You really want to kill him? Don't you dare kill him while I'm in the room, because he looks like you, and ew ew ew! He's your healer. I hope Meredith kills you." It went something like that. In the end, he let him live and sided with the mages. LOL
I did get a dirty look because I forgot to mention the part where Sebastian turned on him for letting Anders live. :innocent:

This thread has grown sooooo fast while I slept..... sry this is a few pages back

My husband killed him and sided with the templars :(  But he did say it was because everyone was completely insane in the game, and having not played origins the game taught him that all mages were bad as every one you met was a blood mage. That said he thought siding with the templars might contain the situation with the least bloodshed. He also said that he felt Anders wanted to die and he wanted to end his suffering at Justice's hands.

You know, I still have to wonder if by pursuing a relationship with Anders, you're inadvertently taking part in a ménage à trois.
The idea is both creepy and intriguing.
...
Really, really intriguing. >.>
*ahem*
Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I need to go dunk my head in some ice water.

Off-topic - YAY SOMEONE ELSE WHO PLAYS DND. *didn't recently decide to play a wizard in a Dark Sun campaign just for the MAGES ARE FEARED AND HATED RAWR theme, no, not at all, not me!* ._.;;;;

I haven't played ME yet at all, but with all the hilariousness that ensues from listening to people talk about it, I'm starting to think I should. >.>;
