The whole it's not Justice thing would be a wee bit more believeable if Justice didn't hijack Anders and scream in my face to GTFO right  (out of my own house no less!) after Anders started thinking about undoing the bomb.

That said I can already tell the whole Rivalrymance/friendship mance arguement is going nowhere.

So this will be the last time I bring it up.

Live and let live. No one's path is necessarily more "right" than anyone else's except in personal preference.

Great image you gave me there.
By the way guys, I just finished my rivalmance with Anders. I was at 100% Rivalry with him and he wouldn't join the templars.....soooo...maybe I did something wronggg?

OMG right?
I was like, 'BAD Justice! BAD Justice! You get back in there and let me speak to Anders, you naughty thing."
I was totally pissed.

Too bad he doesn't wear "robes" anymore :(

Was SO hoping for a "quick trist?" in the broom closet. Now he's got all those damn buckles and stuff, and pants.

There's probably a cord or something you can pull to make it all fall away.

I'm pretty sure it's bugging out.

Which is a dissappoint. Stupid bugs. I want that kiss. :(

Hopefully BW will fix it.

And if not them hopefully modders will be able too.

If having Ser Pounce meant the Warden was reaching into his robes, I hardly think they could have made Anders give up the cat because it was making him "soft." Seems he would be having the opposite problem.

Ok, long post, and not meant to be inflammatory, so I'll apologise in advance.

I think the rival path "for Anders' own good" argument smacks of metagaming to a certain extent, unless you actually AGREE that mages are better off in the circle. It seems a lot of people think it's better for Anders to be on the rival path because he splits from Justice more, and it makes the bombing more Justice's fault than Anders. I disagree. He joined with Justice because he wanted to free mages. The mage fight was always ANDERS' fight, not the fade spirits'. Justice sees the Justice of it (hur hur) and so agrees to join with him. Their goals are the same. The method he goes about doing it is called into question at the end on the rival path, but that's all. The fight is the same.

People can not like what he did, I understand that. But saying the rival path is better for him because it makes him lose control of his body so Justice can plant the bomb... doesn't sit right for me. I don't think it is better for him. I think it's better for HAWKE, because then they can feel like they've tried to stop something they disagree with (if they disagree with it). But not for Anders. He's going to have to live with it for the rest of his life regardless (even if that life is very short).

He doesn't think it was a GOOD thing to have done, but on the friend path he thinks it was necessary.

So agreed.

You shouldn't say these kinds of things here :o

My spouse looks like Alistair except with blue eyes. He's English too(I'm American). His voice isn't as whiny sounding though. Kinda leans more to sounding a bit between Anders and Alistair. I just close my eyes and let the mood take me.B)

Aren't we lucky?  /high five

You guys should join forces and rent your men to nerdy gamer girls. Just make sure they master the puppy eyes.

I was more pissed that I couldn't initate anymore convos until him blowing up the Chantry. That really needed a follow up "We need to talk about your extra passenger."

But I'm very pleased to see that he can side with the Templars. I will be honest I don't see it as so character breaking anymore. And I'm bumbed I didn't get it from the start. Instead I got that "I LOVED you" with him attacking me.

@Ryzaki I'm happy to agree to disagree here, but the point about Justice coming out is kind of relevant. I don't disagree that Anders/Justice are more separate at the end of the rival path, I just don't think it's good for him.

ETA And if you spare him at the end and he goes with you, unless you find some way to separate him and Justice (which he's already said is impossible unless you kill him) one morning Hawke is going to wake up dead with a sobbing Anders beside him. Because Justice planted the bomb, he's perfectly capable of stabbing Hawke through the heart because he's sick of being disagreed with :(.

Yeah but I was referring to bombing the Chantry. On the rivalry path I got the view that Anders would've stopped it if Justice hadn't hijacked him and screamed at Hawke. (I'm totally picking the snarky options in that convo from now on). I don't really care about the it's good for him because frankly I don't think there's much Hawke can do for him to give him a healthy life regardless. the most he can do is deal with it.

I think he avoids talking about Justice.
I did sort of feel bad for him when he said that he has large blank spaces in his memory nowadays. I wanted to give him a big hug, he looked so worried.

I don't see how either hawke or anders got anything done. I would have never left the estate or the bedroom (maybe for food)

I can imagine the reactions of my party members...I usually have Anders, Fenris, and Sebastian in my party. I'm pretty sure Sebastian and Fenris's eyes would burn.

Yes he does.

And good lord I felt so bad too. My heart felt like it was being ripped out and he turns and walks away. D:

and then clicking on him gave me a cold (and Justice sounding) "It's clear where you stand Champion." in a hissy voice. I wanted to shake him and scream at him to give me my Anders back. :(

Sums upmy feelings pretty well.

Yeah, between eating sandwiches, sleeping, and proof reading the manifesto, i don't think hawke and anders got much accomplished.

Oh I totally agree that he wouldn't have done it if Justice hadn't stepped in on the Rival path. But that's kind of my point too. The rival path leads him further down the road to becoming a true abomination, because if he doesn't want to do what Justice wants, Justice will just take over.
