Quick question. Has anyone played a Hawke that was a Templar? Did that have any effect, or was it similar to the blood mage?
No effect. Sadly. I had my hopes up, too, for some reason.
Boourns. Alright

You know what's sad, I had no idea what the caption said because I felt like so much of a voyeur during that kiss that I averted my eyes from my monitor to give them some alone time. It was some weird instinctive reaction. "Oh my God, they should be alone for this! Augh!"
I also blushed for like a half hour afterwards. Totally hot.

And yes.....I don't think I could
play Awakening again. It breaks my heart knowing Lady Hawke will
probably never know the man who although had a lot of anger and sadness
pent up inside could get by with a funny or sarcastic response. I
realized by the end of the game how much I resent Justice, and good
intentions or not I wish I had the option of killing him the Fade.

I thought Anders disliked blood magic even if the mage knew how to control it? It would make more sense if he didn't though.Sable Rhapsody wrote...

Yeah, but it's still pretty bad that he would say something like that to a nice blood mage when he's also dating one. Maybe that's why Justice doesn't approve. xDBatteries wrote...
From what I've read nobody ever makes any comments if you're a blood mage.
I think the presumption is that Hawke, if a blood mage, actually has a handle on herself and her powers, whereas Merrill is clearly a bit naive and inexperienced, and a lot of the other blood mages you meet succumb to abomination. Blood magic comes with a lot of power, danger, and temptation, and it's a rare mage who can use it without going insane (Morrigan, the Warden, Hawke, Zathrian, etc.)
Lord Atlia wrote...
I don't know if this has been said already, it probably has, but does anyone else find Anders to be Thedas' hypocrite of the decade for attacking Merrill constantly for using blood magic for good reasons when he uses his own magic to destroy a chantry and kill innocent people?

I know! It's so sad. If Hawke meets the Warden (hanging out in whatever dungeon or retirement home Bioware has whisked them away to), I can only imagine how their conversation will go
Hawke: So you knew Anders?
Warden: ANDERS! Oh man, how is that crazy bastard doing? Flirting his way across the Free Marches?
Hawke: Er... no, not really
Warden: That guy was so funny. He was always the life of the party at Vigil's Keep, let me tell you, this one time--
Hawke: Actually, he's sad, paranoid, and zealous now. Spends a lot of time alone. Blows up churches sometimes.
Warden: 0_0
Hawke: Yep. He's also my boyfriend... I love him. His inner demon literally comes out to yell at me sometimes, though. That's never fun.
Warden: I guess Alistair gaining a couple of pounds wasn't the worst thing that could've happened...

I played a Templar and there was no effect, lol. Anders didn't take notice. Then again, I was pro-mage throughout the whole game, so I guess it doesn't matter.Souris wrote...

God, he really is such a train wreck. I never thought my Hawke would fall in love with someone like Anders--she was supposed to be little miss ambitious, political Villain Protagonist. But she developed so much respect for Anders' strength of conviction, and he changed the cause of mages from something she did as kind of a learned behavior to dislike templars into something she really cared about.
I don't think there's anyone my Hawke would go through as much hell for or lose as much over as Anders.

Yeah, I remember that talk he had with my Warden. He just kind of laughed it off and said something like "Well, I am now."Reinara wrote...
To be fair, he didn't seem too bothered if you made him a blood mage in the one convo in Awakenings, though... I guess that's pre!Justice!Anders so...

Why, thanks, you too!
This is actually Natale's Act 3 appearance. I changed her makeup and hair style (though not her face or hair color) each act--it sounds silly, but it helped cement the passage of time for the character.

Hey, I just realized something. Hawke's mother ran off with an apostate... and if you romance Anders, Hawke can too.
