It was after he killed the girl (I let him) and he read his manifesto. I told him to look at it from the Templar's point of view and he started going on about how the Chantry needed to be turn down. 

Asked him if it was his or Justice's idea and he sort of brushed it off with teling me Justice wasn't as evil as I kept saying it was. Then the convo ended. 

I shall continue for science!  

Though I think I locked myself out of the romance.

From heavy conversations about saving Anders, kissing while the city is burning, and the rightness of his cause, to posting pictures of our cats, youtube vids, and Llamas with Hats.



I submit that this song and these videos would be among Anders' favourites.

Regarding Anders and Nate, I think Anders would be amused to flirt with Nate in order to make him squirm, but I really can't see Nate having any interest in Anders whatsoever. It's fun to imagine, though!

Speaking of which, how does one get Nate to show up in game? My main import was a Queen Cousland who recruited and befriended everyone except Velanna, saved Amaranthine, fully upgraded the Keep, spared the Architect, and had all companions (again, except Velanna) survive. Nate never showed up in DA2. I know the Martyr pre-set works, but what events need to occur in a save game import?

To get Nate, it looks the game is having a hard time telling that he lived if he was at the Keep at the end, even if it survived. A good test: you get Fool's Gold quest unlocked, Nate isn't going to show up (that's what I understand so far). I know there was a mod in the mod boards here that is trying to fix these flags... you could check that out?

@ Threeparts: initial game I imported has me, Anders, Sigrun and Oghren as the final party. Nathaniel stayed behind... and although in the epilogues it stated that he survived, I got the Fool's Gold quest instead in the game. My second playthrough I used a game where Nathaniel was in my final party.... and finally got the Finding Nathaniel quest in Hightown. I think it's a glitch of some sort...

Ah well, I guess I'll save playing with it for another run. I'm enjoying the world in this 'No Mercy' import, where my Dwarf commoner went around slaughtering anything and everything. Anders' shocked recognition of Drunkistair was just wonderful.

I must admit I've not played with pre-made histories, but maybe I should for my warrior playthrough. Never could make Alistair into a wandering drunk in all the time I spent on DAO. I'm a sucker for my NPC followers... can't be mean to them even if I tried!

Oh man! Talk about creepy. I bet it's probably nightmare fuel for a romanced Anders, too!


ETA: Ha! I just went to Sundermount for the first time on this character, and one of the ambient comments Anders made was, "In my experience, all Dalish women are crazy." Oh, Velanna. I wonder if he still says that if the Warden was Dalish as well.

I came here to talk about Anders (and cats, I'm not gonna lie) to find that cats are apparently on the brain for everyone.

So, speaking of, my cat just had a litter of five kittens, and I was wondering if you witty ladies and fellows had any name ideas? Out of the batch, there IS one who is very obviously tabby-colored. And yes, I have already dubbed him/her Ser-Pounce-A-Lot.

I only ever played Awakening twice, so I'm wasting all my time choosing dialogue options I never did before.

Really? I don't think so. Anders had some innuendos with Nate too. It was the first time he made me wonder with his allusive tone about robes and being naked xD I think the "old witty happy" Anders would have been perfectly fine with Nathaniel. But hey, it's just my head after all xD

Anders had one innuendo with Nate and, judging from what we know about Anders now, it was deflect-o mode. I never got the impression that Nathaniel did more than tolerate Anders. He didn't hate him, but there isn't a whole lot there to indicate heat between them.

Not that it stopped me from writing a Nate/Anders flirt fic, but I admit that it was just because I liked the idea of them, uh, flirting. 

So... I'm the only one that got Nate's wry, "And I'd hoped Justice would be the dominant personality."

They both were "in love", but Nate went with Moira to the end battle (along with Sigrun and Oghren) since I knew Anders would survive no matter what I did.  (And Moira's a mage)  It wasn't terribly insulting, just... irritated.  Like Nate always was with Anders.
