I just have to ask as I finished as FemHawke romancing Anders. I couldn't kill him at all, I'm just pretending that Jillian had already lost so much that she just wasn't going to lose anyone else. You know the cliche, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Anyways, when Varric got to the end and was telling Cass that everyone ditched Hawke, he said except for Isabela. Is that normal? Though I do find it funny that she stayed with Hawke longer than Anders did.

Yes, it is for Fem Hawke. I don't like the male Hawke VA, so I only play as my own gender.

For Lady Hawke, he says: "I heard you moved that apostate boy into your house.  I guess you really are your mother's daughter."

I found it very fitting for my non-mage Hawke to fall in love with a mage.  Very much like Leandra and Malcolm.

Me too!  This is why I'm so glad it's a video game and not real life.  My game decisions almost always work that way, though.  Even my wise, noble characters will justify taking the most selfish option possible so that I can enjoy a happy ending.  It certainly happened in Origins every time ("Sorry Loghain, I think you're complex and awesome but Alistair will dump me if I don't execute you right here, soooo.... ::chop::"  )

I know!  It's so sad.  If Hawke meets the Warden (hanging out in whatever dungeon or retirement home Bioware has whisked them away to), I can only imagine how their conversation will go

Hawke: Yep.  He's also my boyfriend... I love him.  His inner demon literally comes out to yell at me sometimes, though.  That's never fun.
Warden: I guess Alistair gaining a couple of pounds wasn't the worst thing that could've happened...

Aww Bekkael, you 'd me, I was just about to mention that . 

I really fell in love with Anders hard this game.  He was just so sweet, and I just hate the Chantry so when he blew up the Chantry all I could think was "dammit why wasn't Meredith in there?"

It didn't bother me at all that he did that, I think towards the end even if Anders hadn't made magical saltpeter that things still would have ended in a boom.  Anders just added fireworks to the occasion, pretty, pretty fireworks.

What really was my WTF moment was the Meredith ultimate battle, that left me with these two expressions .  Whilst I was fighting I was humming the Transformers theme

Oh god, thinking about cheerful Anders (and my reams of fanfic about him) makes my heart hurt. So much. . I loved him in Awakenings because he was so... STABLE. Damn you Bioware. Still, he got what he wanted in my game, we burninated the Chantry and we're going off to live in the wilderness and have many, many mage abomination babies, and lots of cats while we're at it. *huggles him tight*

Mage abomination babies sounds adorable. My FemHawke will insist that they name a few in honor of her family. (Poor thing. The family members she was close to will all be dead by the end of the game.) Then she will teach them about the cause. And justice. Yay, mini-mage army!

...That is, if she doesn't end up in Flemeth's dungeon with the Warden and Maric. Or she could have the babies and then end up in the dungeon, leaving Anders/Justice to raise them alone, and make this romance even more tragic.

Maybe it's just me but babies with Anders sounds like a horrible idea.

Then again, my character doesn't have to worry about that, as it's kind of impossible. A few kittens would be okay, though I hope the dog came along with us I am not a dog person in the least, but I don't want to keep losing my damn pet.

My new end-of-game canon--after trololololing happily on board Isabela's ship, they retire in Fereldon with a kitten farm. Dog continues to tag along and sleep on the bed.

I haven't thought about it until now, but my FemHawke doesn't really seem like the type to keep pets. Of course, she'd let Anders have cats if he wanted them, but she'd probably be one of those people who's clueless around animals. Unless they're birds. I can see her having a bird. Maybe a messenger hawk... oh. xD And maybe a horse too. "Practical" pets are best for her, I guess.

It really does, doesn't it? I love Anders, but I don't think the situation he and Hawke are in is really ideal for child-rearing. Maybe they can pick up a few war orphans along the way or something.

...what about the part where he's still a Grey Warden, so he's got twenty years or less left on the clock, as well as having Justice in his head permanantly? And fun darkspawn nightmares. Oh, and the being hunted forever part.

Domestic bliss is not in his future.

Due to being out of town for a few days, I haven't managed to finish the game yet but I know what Anders is up to. I have to say, my Hawke is completely unsuspecting of the terrorist action but between all the 'I just want you to know, no matter what happens, I love you' and the giving away of possessions she's pretty much put him on suicide watch...

Yeah, my opinion on children notwithstanding, I was thinking it was more of a bad idea because of the extreme instability of their situation and, well, everything Anders is.

Then again, my idea of romantic also doesn't involve having children at all, so feel free to think what you want.

Also, what happens when Anders dies? WIll Justice keep hanging out in his meat suit? Because I really don't want Hawke to go necro, and Justice is such a downer.

I just like the idea of a mini-mage army supporting the revolution for freedom. Logic doesn't need to come into play here. xD But the fact that my FemHawke would end up captured by Flemeth, Anders would die due to being a Warden (probably in one of his explosions when his time for the calling comes), and the mage kids only had Justice left to talk with in the Fade could make some really cool characters who are messed up in ways that would totally make them my favorites.

Following up on the Wynne/Shale going to Tevinter thing, I think that Tevinter may have the answer to his Justice issue. As for the fact that he is a Grey Warden, it is stated that it is hard for Grey Wardens to have children, just not likely. It is easier if only one parent is a warden, which isn't the case if your Queen Warden and Alistair take the throne. 2 warden parents = nearly impossible. At the same time, I see the point of not wanting children with Justice/ Vengeance possessed Anders. The "Daddy is an abomination" conversation would be kind of awkward anyway. lol. At the same time, I can't blame the man for dreaming of a normal-ish life. After all, it's all he's ever wanted.

Taking all of that into account, there is still a few other possibilites. If you left Avernus alive to continue his research in a more ethical manner (and if you didn't add an Awakenings play-through OR you sided with the Architect in it) the letters that you take to the warden drop in the docks have something to do with that. I feel like if it's possible that the Architect can figue out to utilize GW blood to put an end to blights, that Avernus is capible of coming up with something to slow the taint. As he said, the power is in the blood. What would be so important about warden blood and research from Avernus that a contingent of Fereldan Grey Wardens (in my play they were headed up by Alistair) had to journey all the way to Weisshaupt? A 1,000 mile journey to the Headquarters of the Grey Wardens seems a little excessive for something that would not have a major impact on the order...Then again, that's probably just how my mind wants it to play out.

I actually don't think my Hawke could take that, she would go to the deep roads with him to his "Calling". They've come this far toghether, they would go out toghether too.

Freakin' tragi-romances. I'm addicted to them.

And THAT is why I think the elf-lovers need to have the tragi-romances next time around.  Zevran didn't have to make an OGB in order to continue the romance post, and the worst any lover of Fenris has to deal with is his emo angst.  I just want a human romance that doesn't have to end in making my lover sleep with someone to make an OGB or a spiritual schizo (although he is very lovable ).  

I find it interesting and weird for me that in the DA series I like the human romances more (just not that into elves or dwarves, etc), but in the ME series I love the more alien species (turians are my fav), and I can't quite figure out why?
