Oh, sure, it's just a possibility! I just like to imagine it - after 21 years of not being able to do anything with anyone for fear of attracting attention, my Hawke is finally released into the wilds at Ostagar, surrounded by hundreds of hot, muscular, heavily-armed men and women, and no Mother constantly looking over her shoulder.

And then everyone dies.

Yeah, I think the Hawke siblings had a little bit too much fun at Ostagar.  XD

Especially when you consider that Hawke is somewhere between 19 and 25 when we meet him/her, and lived the last ten years on the outskirts of a horrible little village in the middle of nowhere, where the family had to keep a low profile. I have a feeling that - unless Hawke really cut loose when s/he finally got to the big city - Bethany and Carver wouldn't be the only ones subjected to Isabela's teasing.

My Hawke begs to differ. All of my Hawkes. And my Wardens too. :D

But Bethany and Leandra mention (and get letters from) friends in Lothering, they weren't just hiding in a shack on the outskirts. It draws more attention if you blatantly separate yourself from society instead of integrating (and still being on your guard).

So yeah, none of my Hawkes are virgins due to circumstance since the circumstance wasn't really there :D They were definitely more careful who they associated with, but they didn't sit at home on their hands.

I think you are underestimating the extreme ingenuity and desperation of teenagers when it comes to getting laid.  Carver managed it, after all, with Peaches.  XD

This! My  Hawke, is actually with Fenris, and a  mage. But she's the sarcastic/forceful type that only gets diplomatic when it benefits her. There's just no way little miss sassy pants wasn't the town tease/****. And that probably goes for all of them, screw sweet and innocent. So I imagine Carver and Bethany going "oh man, I know THAT look...please no"  when Hawke meets a new good looking male companion.

Well even Carver was not a pure and virginal good Andrastian if you think of that letter he got from Lothering... That time behind the barn? Nothing Sebastian would approve off to be sure.

I like to think Hawke had a past, same as everyone... except for perhaps Merrill.

Between needing to be distracted from her worry over Bethany and Leandra at home by themselves and needing to embarrass the **** out of Carver, Hawke definitely had a Gone Wild night or two at Ostagar.

Now I want to write a fic where Daveth is running around flirting horribly with every other female at camp and, when he gets to Hawke, she just holds up her hand is all, "No need. Just take me far away from my brother. I don't want to cause permanant damage."

Yes, but the best part about that letter is realizing all the chances Hawke got to mock his brother to death.

Because you know Hawke got sent to find him. And you know they were in the middle of their adolescent, two minute long tryst.

I don't mean to suggest that they were a family of hermits or anything - Bethany certainly went and visited the Chantry sisters, for example, and Carver had his own thing with Peaches going on. But people in country towns can be incredible gossips, especially when it comes to whose kid is the current trouble-maker, and it would have been awkward inviting a serious partner home, so being circumspect would have been in their best interests.
A few tumbles in someone's father's barn isn't exactly going to be the most exotic or satisfying of encounters, especially compared to what Isabela and Anders have gotten up to.

Everyone's Hawkes are going to be different though, I don't intend anyone else to follow that bit of speculation: it's just a source of amusement on my part.

LOL!  Except in my case, Carver wasn't paying a lick of attention anyway because he was too busy ogling a certain city elf Grey Warden recruit.

Carver is great, I listened to his banter with Isabela a few times on youtube just now. I wish the siblings stuck around longer.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome xD I love the one where Isabela 'outs' him going to the Blooming Rose, and Hawke's fake-shocked "Carver, what would mother think?" is just the greatest.

I must be a romantic prude or something...I wanted to think my Hawke had been saving herself for when she was in love (she tells Anders she had never felt that way for anyone) and then at the night scene at the house she leads him straight to the bed like a pro. So that deflated my little idea...LOL.

Maybe she's just used all that time all the other Hawkes were having uncomfortable, fumbly sex to practice her bedroom lean.

Lol, well, you can roleplay your Hawke that way, certainly. I just play my Hawkes as more... idk, experienced? Hawke just seems more "adult" to me, so mine wouldn't be virgins or virginal. Not promiscuous or with fascinating stories of their encounters, just... having had a few relationships or quick trysts here and there (probably mostly as teenagers), but probably nothing too serious.

You can still imagine that, just think of it as her being very certain that he, and this, is what she wants.

I play my Hawke as being relatively (but not completely) inexperienced, but she's still confident and impulsive, so she'll do what she always does and just dives right in without overthinking things.

After Leandra and Bethany both compare Anders to Hawke's father, I can't help but see my Hawke as an awkward virgin with horrible daddy issues.

I always pictured my Hawke who had never taken love as seriously as he did with Anders, so that whole line about "I've never felt this way about anyone," to me was something more like "Wow I am really feeling the connection with this guy" rather than "HAWKE HUNGRY WANT MANWICH"

I mean that did come later, but he really wanted to protect and cuddle Anders. D:

I imagine my Hawke being the oldest sibling in charge that tries to be a role model for her younger siblings and is quite inexperienced when it comes to love...lol...like a nerdy teen movie girl.

Now my Wardens (mage and human noble) were not so innocent...the human noble wanted Ser Gilmore so bad she could taste it and the mage wanted Cullen. The mage tried to get Cullen to go talk privatly but he ran away...darn it.

Oh god, Leandra does as well? Suddenly her "you don't want me looking over your shoulder" line smacks of some creepy. Thanks, mom. I'll be sure to lock my door from now on.

Exactly this.  Same with Anders feeling for Hawke.  "I never felt like drowning someone in blood for love before..."

I was thinking of my innocent awkward Hawke...and this being her first relationship. Whew...what a relationship it is. If something ever happened to Anders how do you explain to the next guy your first love was like...LOL. :P
