Anders: You've got a big chip on your shoulder.
Carver: I've got a big blade on my shoulder, magey.
Anders: Right. I wonder what you're compensating for?

I've officially spit tea onto my monitor XD

Love it! :D

Edit: Anders cares!

I add a "which might be tomorrow if you don't do your share of the cooking" to the "I want you right here till the day we die" line in my head.

I added a "... which will probably be any day now, given our current lifestyle."

I admit, I do love the "don't be dead" line from Anders.  I never get it since the man heals Hawke the moment she gets a papercut, but maybe I'll take spirit healer as my second specialization and leave him on perma-Justice mode in fights.

Tangentially, I see Anders as being the
sort that might try the domestic route every once and awhile, if only
for the novelty of it.

"I made you a roast, sweetheart!"
"Um... why is the kitchen on fire?"
"You can't cook a roast with ICE spells.  Even I know that!"

You know, my first Hawke was a super-neurotic mean Hawke.
So he would've been like, "ANDERS, WTF? WTF?" But then again, he had a soft spot for Anders. So it would be more like, "ANDERS, WTF?" -Anders pouts- "I mean....wow...I love what you've done with the kitchen. Looks very...er...modern." :?

Why Hawke's mansion? Because it was requisited by the Divine after we left frolicking in the sunset!

Also I am sure they garnered evidence of my terrorist boyfriend everywhere like a bad episode of CSI or something.

I thought only Isabella was allowed to make jokes about seamen.

They ride little paper boats made from pages of Anders' manifesto!

/deliberate innocence

Indeed they do! Anders has always been good with ém.

Heh.

Yeah. Hawke, suffering food poisoning for his man, going "no, dear, it was fantagbbeleghaghaghohmakerIhateyou".

New one-shot. Probably not interesting for people who don't follow my other fanfics, since it involves my warden, but there's some UST between Anders and Hawke :) .

I just got back with more yarn and and I'll make a new scarf. The yarn goes from blues to greys to purples to a pink than back again.

I will dub it "Hot n' Cold" and it will be a representation of Hawke's relations with Anders. This is what I have to fall back on if I turn out to be a terrible writer.

Maybe I should take up knitting since I've got a good chance not to get accepted into this medical school thing.

We could knit together. A sorta "failed dreams" knitting circle filled with cats and bitterness.

... Anders in nothing but an apron.

... It wouldn't matter to me what he cooked or tried to cook then.  UNF.

You know, one of his gifts in Awakening was a scarf, so scarf-knitting is entirely appropriate for Anders.

He'll tell you his story about Karl then ask if his whole boning dudes makes you uncomfortable. You can respond, "yes", "no" or something like "I hadn't really thought of it."

The last gives you that response.

When he asks if it bothers you that he's been with men, say "I haven't thought about it." Hawke says "I just... hadn't considered..." and Anders says this.

But he totally means NO WE CAN'T. IT CAN ONLY END BADLY. I SHOULDN'T.

As for timing, Anders is... an opportunist.

He says it all suggestive too. It sent shivers down my man Hawke's spine

But I agree that he moves awfully fast for someone who just lost a boyfriend. Must be loneliness and distress at work thrown in.

Hawke: I feel just awful about that. How could they do that?

Anders: Yes. It's really -- can I rest my head on your shoulder? Your manly, manly shoulder?

Hawke: Of course. I mean, I don't get it, he wa-- Uh. Anders? Are you touching my inner thigh?

Anders: I'm lost to the grief.

It's at the end of the steps at the Viscount's Keep.
Remember the beginning of Act 2? When you leave the Viscount's Keep and it takes two seconds to get to the Estate? lol

No  I have no sense of direction. I usually just go out the area and pick the place on the map and go there... I'm a bit sad, yes. Otherwise I'll just be running around in circles and getting pissed.

Hated the maps in this game, btw.

Possibly....the best thing I've read so far.

The thing that killed me about him being all "Does it bug you that I've slept with men?" is he said it after my ManHawke totally and inappropriately hit on him, hardcore. I am pretty sure it doesn't bother him, Anders.
