Not bad for a dude who had a refrigerator full of Miller Lite and ketchup when I met him.

He had ketchup. That's a fruit. I don't see what the problem is.

But Lite is swill. He makes his own beer now.
(He doesn't make his own ketchup - he's not that perfect. ;))

Okay, okay. I'll give you that. I'm rather a giant nance and like me some shocktop. Or coronas.

I had to look up what a Shocktop was. I didn't even know AB knew what a Belgian White was.

And, this is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic. Anders can't even get drunk.

I don't know much about beers. I just know that I don't like terribly bitter. So Belgian White's I go.

I also know not to accept alcohol from my past tech director. That man made cloudy Russians, I swear. Mostly clear Russians. We had a bet going with when he'd die of alcohol poisoning. Not yet, surprisingly. Oh, actors. It's really weird when you go into that world from the outside.

Alright to get off the topic of things vaguely fisting related (you're welcome), I linked this song that's been my Anders drawing song lately but it got buried under the rush of some discussion or another so I'll link again.

Running Up That Hill by Placebo
Lyrics

Mmm-hmm, that song is awesome (the whole Meds album's great, actually).  Lately a lot of songs I listen to remind me of Anders-related stuffs... it's like it's eaten my brain

Most recent song that I feel relates to the Anders romance is Not Strong Enough by Apocalyptica.

So in all my play throughs so far I run off with Anders at the end. I wish I could get myself deviate and try Fenris but I haven't been able to.

My husband asked why my "champion" would run off with Anders after what he did and I told him well she isn't right herself. She lost her Dad three years prior to the game, lost her brother and home at the same time, sis gets sent to circle and her mother gets killed by a crazy killer, among the other bad things she witnesses.

So it was either jump off a cliff...or run off with Anders. The second seemed more fun...LOL.

I picture my character in DA3 running around with him attached to a leash because he's so crazed. I'm not sure how it's going to work out, but I love the insane bugger so it'll all be ok... I just have a good feeling about it. right? :?

And my Hawke is probably crazy enough to have a Anders baby. My Warden didn't mind letting Morrigan and Alistair create a little tyke not knowing if it would be a good or bad thing, so my Hawke says why not...LOL. Me and my crazy characters....sheesh...LOL.

A song that kind of reminds me of Anders is Slipknot's song Snuff.

"what are you doing?"

But bah. It changed nothing. Stupid bug. I got funneled into the default friendship path dialogue.

Nope he didn't side with me. Alas.

Heck he still didn't blame Vengeance either.

It's a weird bug. And an annoying one. :/

I just hope the wonderful work in progress has you making Hawke and Anders live happily ever after, in a small cottage in the Anderfels, with the whole mass murder thing put completely behind them.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE REAL LUCY.

Also pft no.

I believe the sarcasm was lost on you there.

Got to agree with you about Apocalyptica being a bit more Fenris.  Lately I've been obsessed with this song and I have to say it makes me think of Anders a lot.

If we're talking music, when I think of Anders I tend match him to Gary Numan's 'Crazier' -

"The more I take a look inside, the more I'm fried
The more I understand the ride, the more I slide
The more you put me back in line, the more I tried
The more you looked into my eyes, the more you lied

I come back crazier, but feel much better
You come back crazier, you'll feel better."

etc... (Great song) :P

I saw Apocalyptica at Lollapalooza '95.  Met the bassist, nice chap.  Gave me a free album (on cassette).

Wow, I'm old.

While we're dicussing songs, I present this one as Hawke's song about Anders.

It is even appropriately titled "I Got Punched in the Nose for Sticking My Face In Other People's Business", which describes my Hawke pretty well, I think. XD.  And here are the lyrics, for the curious.

I wonder if they didn't take it out on purpose, as a last minute change. It seems a strange path to take, which is rivaling Anders and not only letting him live, despite the fact that he did exactly what a rival Hawke has warned him against doing, but also taking him to help Annul the Circle (which is like taking Loghain to kill a bunch of Fereldans in an Orlesian prison). A Hawke who sides with the templars becomes Viscount, do they not? I cannot imagine any stretching of lore or credulity that would cover for Hawke being in that position of power with Anders, unpunished, by her/his side. The only thing that makes the survivability of Anders and a Hawke who sides with the mages work is because they're on the run.

I doubt Hepler would've said it was in the final game if they meant to take it out. She might've said it was originally planned but everything leading up to it is fine. Just the last few scenes are bonked completely.

You get him going that he'll consider it and starting to part from Vengeance and then it all just vanishes. That's frankly far more annoying to me than Anders siding with the templars. I'm not getting into how much sense it makes because frankly I can't judge without playing through it.

i don't like the idea of Anders siding with the templars... kind of destroys everything he is. Even Awakenign Anders would never do that. Honstly, him siding with the templars would make me loose more respect for him then blowing up the chantry :(

Aww, no you're not. I grew up with that band (they're Finns & I was into metal). This is something I remember from them. "So...you're gonna glue us into the ceiling? Mkay."

I was teaching high school kids some months ago, and suddenly I didn't feel so old at all. Those guys listen to the same stuff I did at their age...:P

LOL, very true.  I wonder if Orsino's dialogue would change at all in that case?  Either that or we were wrong about Anders as a character the whole time and he is actually just the biggest troll ever born.  The dialogue would have to go down like this:

Orsino: ...but do not kill us all for an act we did not even commit!
Troll!Anders: LOL
Meredith: The grand cleric is dead, killed by a mage
Troll!Anders: U MAD
Orsino: Yeah, THAT mage!  The one right beside you, who's helping you kill the rest of us!
Meredith: Pssh, details
Troll!Anders: LOL

This made me laugh way harder than it should've.

Honestly though all the damn bloodmages in Kirkwall were starting to irritate me. I just played through themage ending again and I'm beginning to see the POV of those who side with the templars. This is ridculous how many of these mages are using bloodmagic. Hawke can't turn around without bumping into some crazed bloodmage. Between Grace who Iwas nice enough to save, from nearly every mage I bump into on the streets at night, to those mages when I'm going to the Gallows. Ugh.

I know I'm supposed to feel bad for them. It's damned hard when all of them keep doing things to make people hate them. <_<

Yeah, It's SO BIZARRE. When it was just a joke a few days ago, all I could think of was how pissed I would be if I was one of the other companions who had to LISTEN to him all those YEARS and then...he can't even do the right thing and die for his ****ing cause! I hope that Merrill, at least, stonefists him right in the face after everything is done, because he absolutely deserves it.
