I see why Justice doesn't approve of your RogueHawke. xD Poor thing. My Kaya would be wondering why Anders says that Justice doesn't approve of her. Their conversation would probably go something like this -

Anders: Justice doesn't approve.
Kaya: But why? D: I've always helped mages! I promised to kill all the templars with him!
Anders: Well, you see, it's... he's been watching you sleep. He doesn't approve.
Kaya: He doesn't approve of sleeping?
Anders: He thinks you should be out killing templars instead.

So justice = Sten?

Edit: Oh hellsfire ToP? Really?

You guys are overthinking it.
Hawke wants Anders because he's hot.
Really. That simple.

You know what I'm not even gonna touch that.

Luckily, mine isn't. All he got were the ****in' powers.

Ability to turn things into ice? Check. Noble bearing and dedication to a cause? uhhhh. Nooooo.

Well, I might be exaggerating a little. Just a touch. A hair.
Or, beneath the dewey innocent eyes and the wibbly lip, inside that orphan's heart there may have lurked the heart of a hardened criminal.
You've got to watch out for those orphans. They'll swarm you in the alleyways. Really. Trust her. She knows these things. >.>

Also, when you said 'watching you sleep', I got this mental image of Justice!Anders perched on the foot of Hawke's bed. Like some kind of giant, glowy owl.

Also also, ohgodlolz. I hadn't considered the ramifications of living with an entity that has no need to sleep.
Kaya could try convinving Justice that she IS out fighting templars. She's... gathering intelligence in the Fade. Yeah. Yeah, that's it.

Sten was awesome.  Way more awesome than Justice even.
I loved the Arishok as well.  Talk about a screwed up relationship.  "In the kitchen with you, the Qun says women's place is in the kitchen"  "But Arishok, I'm the CHAMPION. You respect me enough to mano-a-mano with me... come on!" LOL

I started out with my m!Hawke thinking he was just a queer, but then it just sort of ended up with "... No, you just have a freaky dad complex, don't you? All right, that's creepy as ****, let's go with it."

I loved Sten's whole "I don't ... get ... you're a woman but you are an ass kicker. It's crazy!" thing, probably more than I should've.

Good ol' Sten. I loved that guy.

Every pairing I've been interested in lately has had a father/son dynamic going on. Luckily, I look at my own life and go "oh, thank god, completely lacking that". I've always wondered, though, if my Hawke saw Anders as a way of "fixing" his dad's life. Or proving himself to someone like his dad, where he couldn't be (you know, serious and dedicated to snarky and flippant).

Or maybe it's just the sparkly fingers and the sharp nose. Who knows?

I like to think the Hawke women are just weak for roguishly handsome apostates.  Because who wouldn't be?  I love Gamlen's comment: "I hear you moved that apostate boy into your house.  You really are your mother's daughter."  I wanted to tackle-hug him for that.

I don't think there are enough Malcolm Hawke/Anders parallels for it to reach creepy levels, though.  Bethany says Anders reminds her of their father, but I think that's just because Anders immediately jumped into a "helpful protector" role over Bethany (just like everyone did; the girl is innocence incarnate).  Malcolm obviously didn't have any grand ideals towards mage freedom... or if he did, they didn't extend beyond talk.  In my head, I see Malcolm as more of a pre-Justice Anders than the Anders the Hawkes met.

lol.

I have a warrior Hawke with a mage fetish. (This is the one I can see the Templar ending working for) That's a twisted sick relationship that' not healthy for either him nor Anders. (and frankly I want Anders to run far far away but he just keeps falling for him. Ah Anders. You just love to let in things that are no good for you.)

My mage Rival Hawke though just wants Justice to chillax a bit with raging at innocent mage girls and for morons not to be running around. He just has a thing for tormented males. In my mind he collects abandoned kittens. ^_^ He's a big teddy bear (especially when it comes to his family). He started falling for Anders after he heard about Anders losing his family because of the Chantry.

He very well might have, for all we know - but he was more focused on keeping his family safe, I figured. I mean, he escaped the Circle, at the least.

Ha! Gamlen just tells my Hawke he knows who plays "the girl". I'm guessing it's Anders, but both of them's got roughly the same level of manly scruff. Anders does wear obvious pants, though, while Hawke was in robes at the mo'. Who knows? Hawke was just flattered that he was taking time out of his busy schedule to think of the specifics of their sex life.

I imagine any moment when you realize you're with someone that's sorta like your dad, no matter how weak the parrallels drawn between the two are, it's still a little creepy.

Besides. Daddy issues make stories better. Right?

It gets a little creepier when you accidentally give your Hawke an hair/eye combination that makes it a high genetic probability that Daddy Hawke looked like Anders, too.

My husband totally did that by accident with his first Hawke (he looked a loooot like Awakenings Anders), but romanced that tramp Merril, so the awesome creepy potential was wasted.

My Hawke and Anders did sorta end up with the same nose.

That's gotta be a great moment, chilling in bed, Anders probably having dragged the damned manifesto in -- and going "Oh, bloody Andraste's holy crotch fire" when one realizes that.

Fortunately for Hawke, I think Anders has enough much larger, attention-grabbing issues to delay the "oh god I'm boning my dad" realization for a good while.

What, like the fact that sometimes Justice seems to rear his head when they're getting to know each other, biblically?

Naaaah.

Besides. That's the sort of realization that can come anytime. It's like emotional incontinence. One day, you're out fighting bandits and everything's peachy, then all of a sudden you look over at your guy and realize I'm boning my father.

Oh, Hawke's father issues. I'm just going with the theory that Kaya grew up to be like her father (that comment from Leandra about how her father would have said the exact same thing with the exact same expression was adorable) and Kaya likes people who are similar to her. So Anders and Justice, with their ideals and combined personality, are a perfect fit.

Lady Jess wrote...

In a way, I guess he does. Both of them disapprove of distractions from the mission.

If orphans can be judged by my Earthborn Shepards... she's totally right about the "heart of a hardened criminal."

Glowy owl. xD There's a hilarious thought. Now that Kaya knows the truth, that Justice is always watching, I'm sure she'll at least wear her makeup to sleep. The part about preparing for battle in the Fade is probably true. She's super dedicated. I can just imagine Justice getting impatient though.

Justice: *assumes control* Kaya. Kaya... *shakes her* Kaya!
Kaya: Huh? What? ...Justice! :D
Justice: Let's fight the templars. Right now. Is that not what you meant when you promised to help "anytime"?
Kaya: All right, all right. We'll attack them while they sleep, under the conver of darkness.
Justice: That's the spirit!
**many hours later**
Anders: You look tired. Didn't you sleep well?
Kaya: No time for sleep. Justice kept me awake all night. I mean, it was fun... but he's really hard to keep up with.
Anders: Damn it, Justice! Now you're stealing my girlfriend?!
Kaya: ...We were killing templars, sweetie. Believe me, I wish it was what you were thinking.
Justice: *knows what Anders was thinking* o///o

Just thought I'd drop this in here, cause I know there is a lot of rage agaisnt Sebastian and thought people may be intrested given the threats he gives in reaction to keeping Anders alive. I definitly harbor rage for anyone that threatens my Anders.

Sebastian is coming to get you and your precious little Anders. Watch out.

Is it bad that I really loved that line?

That feeling of him knowing that it's Hawke that's "keeping" Anders, that it's Anders that's precious enough that Hawke is pulling a stupid move -- pleased me. Something like the little boy I used to be, playing hero, felt like I was staring down a villian. I felt like Paul Atreidies or Luke Skywalker or Hawkeye Pierce.

Mind you, I'm older now and realize that he's got a really good reason for not liking my decision and, yes, it's probably a really stupid move, but boy, I felt good. I like him. I look forward to pissing him off more.

And my (not-so-little) dog too?

Also, Anders should learn not to get in the way of the fabulous butt mage animation.
