Just thought I'd drop this in here, cause I know there is a lot of rage agaisnt Sebastian and thought people may be intrested given the threats he gives in reaction to keeping Anders alive. I definitly harbor rage for anyone that threatens my Anders.

Jennifer Hepler(in the Sebastian thread): "Sebastian's story is not finished yet. Don't worry."

Sebastian is coming to get you and your precious little Anders. Watch out.

(Good. It's more interesting that way, isn't it?)

I nearly died laughing. Good job!  Posted Image

Seb's story isn't finished yet.   Aaaaa-

Must.
Not.
Get.
Hopes up.
For epilogue DLC thing.

Damnit, now I have to go and get that damned Seb DLC just for that face xD

Hear hear! Even dear Anders has his... moments.

EDIT

To add something semi-serious, Anders ruined Seb for me.
Ever since he pointed out Andraste on his crotch...

That is all. I. Can. See.

The one thing I'm hoping is that a further Seb DLC won't be Leliana's Song v2. I hate the bastard, I really don't want to play something where I might end up - Maker forbid! - sympathetic to him. I'd like him to have a role in a DLC, sure, so long as he's not the focus of it and the spotlight is shared by more interesting and fun companions and a story more gripping than "demons made me do it".

Subjective, fortunately or unfortunately. I couldn't say I entirely liked Sebastian - didn't have him in my party often enough to grow a solid opinion - but I found him interesting. Where he's going and where he's come from, in particular. I would like to see where his story finally leads him.

Oh, look at that. I contributed something mildly relative and thought engaging.

They did mention that they wanted us to play as Hawke in future DLC, having learned from previous DLC that that was more popular (or something to that effect... Mike Laidlaw mentioned it in one of the many pre-release interviews).

But anyway, I would love to see Seb back, attempting to hold true to his promise to kill Anders. Mostly just to learn more about what's going on with Anders after DA2 ends, though... I'm currently imagining my Hawke and Anders sailing into the sunset on Isabela's ship. With Fenris too.

Well, yeah, of course, hence the "I'm hoping" and "I'd like" modifiers. ;)
I'm sure he could be more interesting, but after two games spent trying to convince him unsuccessfully to go home to Starkhaven and show some bloody backbone, only to have him change his mind because I refused to kill Anders, all I want to do now is install a Slap Sebastian mod.
I like Hamlet as a story, I don't want to have the main character hanging around and whining at me for six years.

Reaper Man isn't my favourite in the series, but that whole scene still makes me shiver. And, of course, Death's eyes are blue light too.

...ooh, fellow Pratchett fans? <3 I love that scene as well. And that quote is really appropriate, all things considered.

that would actually be really interesting but wouldn't that be entirely dependant on people who have played DA2? i would see this as something that they have a DLC for DA2 as opposed to say DA3.

still, would be cool to see the earlier part of Hawke's life :)

Death is in fact probably one of my top 30 favourite characters EVER. I love Susan as well and their whole disfunctional family dynamic. I love finding little references in DA2 to other things: for example, you know how Gaider keeps going on about The Princess Bride, the main guy in that is called Wesley. When I first played the DA2 demo I was like, wow that's a lame name for a templar knight. And then I was like, oh wait

I hope that Seb DLC means that if Anders is alive, he'll also be in DLC. I mean, how could you have Seb attacking Kirkwall or whatever, without including the reason he's doing it? Then again, future Seb stuff could be about something entirely different I suppose. *is still hopeful in a sort of pessimistic way*

Why would Seb attack Kirkwall after Hawke killed the terrorist abomination and pacified the Circle uprising?

Ah, well I meant future DLC for DA2 :D Sorry if I was unclear there.

In the interview, Laidlaw was talking about it being more fun to play as the Warden in DA:O DLC, and how that influenced their desire to have us play as Hawke in DA2 DLC. So the kind of DLC I'm talking about is the kind that is dependant on DA2 anyway.

So I may not be the only one that wanted Anders' second gift to be a hat with WIZZARD sewn on in sequins?

OH GOD NO, DON'T GIVE US MORE SEBASTIAN!!! (I know this is a bit late, but I must scream my raeg!) Or at least, if we get more Sebastian, let my Hawke PUNCH THE CRAP OUT OF HIM. Please?

But srsly, I actually would like a bit more Sebastian. His hissy fit at the end of my playthrough was so unsatisfying. I had so many more things I wanted to say to him:

Sebastian: I will raise an army and come back to Kirkwall and raise it to the ground, because you let this man, with his pretty, pretty eyes, and mobile and sensuous mouth, live after killing an old woman.

Hawke: Dude, he just blew up the Chantry. Do you want to come back and kill everyone he MISSED? Oh, and BTW, I'm totally running off with Isabela on a ship after all this crap goes down, so you WON'T EVEN GET TO KILL US.

Sebastian: Your logic is meaningless to me.

Hawke: Sure. Fine. Whatevs.

Yes, this exactly. First of all, what kind of idiot tells you his plan that he's going to come back and kill you?
Oh, well we're certainly going to stick around Kirkwall and wait for you to come back and kill us now. And then he's going to kill everyone in the city trying to find us...
Now WHO is the insane one?!

His whole LIFE was the Chantry...so I feel kinda bad for him. And I cna completely understand why he wants Anders' head on a pike.
But I agree with you....kinda idiotic to announce your plans in the loudest voice possible.

So an interesting post popped up in the So Meredith I Heard you were Insane thread, and I thought I'd share it.

Nerivant wrote...

Just had a thought, when Justice emerged in front of Karl, his personality returned because of his close proximity to a creature of the Fade.

If a spirit like Justice entered a Tranquil, would it restore him?

Could you still make Anders Tranquil?

Hmm.

Which led to thoughts of, what if? What if the Rite of Tranquility would successfully seperate Justice from Anders without him dying? Would it be possible? Or would Anders become Tranquil anyway; possibly die? All the same, it's interesting to think about. I do enjoy mopy Anders but it would be nice if he could find some enjoyment too.

Pissing Sebastian off is extreamly gratifying. I support more Sebastian just so I can tell him to shove it.

YEY!  I hope he comes back in a way that I get to ****** him off and then wipe the floor with him.
Maybe mages ARE dangerous... I just think of mage Hawke + Anders, both with some healing spells, one with some disabling spells and AOE, the other with heavy DPS damage... Army would be decimated.  And add to that all those awesome potions you can craft?  HA.  Keep throwing peons at me!

I used to think Sebastian was cool with the accent and all, but now his whole presence is galling. It bothered me to hear some of his banters with other companions about how he was unwillingly sent to the Chantry and that nobody is truly free. Of course, because that means a life in the Chantry is evidently comparable to the subjugation of a group of people whose aptitude for magic is inborn. He's like a religious zealot who perceives the world in one way and seeks to indoctrinate as many people as he can.

(then again, this could be more of a personal issue because I got sick and tired of bible thumping nutcases telling me that I'm going to hell for living my life a certain way)

I totally agree with your impression of Sebastian.  I also hate bringing him anywhere, he tries to convert people, especially Fenris and I'm like ARGGGGGG stay away from Fenris!
The stuff he tells Fenris about how the maker somehow helped him is so stupid... and Fenris' response is awesome.

Also, to call him a coward for needing an army.  I would have been nice and even offered mano-a-mano (I mean, otherwise him against Fenris is not even remotely fair)... but noooooooo... huff and bring an army. *rolls eyes*
