I apologise for the crappy quality, but I couldn't be bothered to start up Fraps for that two second capture. But that leeeean, I love it.

Yeeeah. That wouldn't have gotten a ;A; from my Hawke. That would have gotten a fight. A big fight. A big, yelling, magic-crackling-in-the-air fight. And possibly a broken hand at the end of it when Hawke punches a wall. Because that's a stupid move.

I always like the dynamics between two men for that reason. I've noticed they're/we're much more likely to fight like that. Or maybe I just have bad conflict resolution skills.

At least in English. English makes me argumentative and pushy. Put me in Japanese and I'm not.

Confilict resolution with men does tend to be more erm, dynamic? xD;

My Rain is a big softie; she just can't be angry, not really. She makes
scowly faces, raises her voice, but really all she wants to do is give
everyone a hug. She's not exatcly emotionally stable either.

So the JENGA'D!Chantry thing that Anders did really did a number on her mental state.

I see it as if Rain were a man, she'd be very different, that being she'd have probably tried to shove Anders' staff up his arse for destroying the Chantry. And most of Hightown. Including her house.

I'm sorry for my ignorance here, but when in the game is this?
Edit: Also, have to agree on that lean.

Ok has anyone had this happen after a fight in Sundermount for Merill quest the that leads to the shadow warriors and dragon. I heard some heavy breathing like huffing and puffing like they had ran a marathon or something from someone in my team it was out of Anders and Varric I highly doubt it was Merill and Anders was the one right behind me.

I was thinking really this fight was only like 3 mins and they tired already may of been a glitch or bug dunno just found it strange hearing it after the fight for like 20 seconds . I thought at first it was a enemie but they was all dead .

I think that was from one of those Reverand dudes.  They take forever to keel over and die and make some weird breating noises.

Also heard the heavy breathing noise in Sundermount, but I'd rather not know what it was

Sundermount had Reverand dudes up the wazoo.  The first playthrough they took me SO by surprise, they almost killed my party LOL.  Second time I was less stupid and went venturing while Merrill was still accompanying me.  Act 1 I did not feel very powerful at all.

I actually really love pursuing that conversation because Hawke gets so melodramatic and condescending. It's a total Lady Macbeth moment in my mind.

"Then tell me, WHAT would you HAVE of me... but know that I won't forget that you blackmailed me to get it!"

So. I've been drawing lines between Macbeth and Anders for some time now, but you just got me.

Obviously, ol' Lady M be friendmancing Macbeth. She really does good for him. In her weird way.

I'm wondering- how on earth do you get fraps videos into animated gifs? Mine always end up as stills of the first damned frame.

See, I'm not buying it because before you do anything for anyone in the game you're blowing up angry refugees in the streets and working for mercenaries. Seriously, Hawke basically was a walking billboard for apostates.

I... didn't blow up any refugees.  I told them I was from Ferelden and they let me be.  Most of the street fights I had were either at night (very few people around), in Darktown (which Anders says is the best place to be if you want to disappear, due to the surplus of refugees), or in a sewer/underground/in a warehouse (out of sight.)

The only fight I remember occurring in broad daylight was the one at the docks (rescuing Harrowmont.)

If you're blowing up people in broad daylight (and refugees at that) it's possible the templars simply believed Hawke to be 'above' the danger level of run-of-the-mill apostates, and that they were putting together a plan of action to corner him/her when/where they'd be at the most disadvantage, only to have him/her disappear into the Deep Roads before they could move in.

That's essentially what they do to Bethany.  They wait until she's separated from her entourage (giving them the advantage of numbers) and surrounded by family (people SHE would endanger if she engaged the templars in a fight.)

The men that attack you not 5 minutes after you arrive in Kirkwall? You remember them right? Probably not because I burned them into little crispy pieces right in front of the Gallows. Hawke really has no reason to be protected two years in. Seeing as how Meredith and the Templars had the city mages on lockdownwhen you arrive I don't see them giving on refugee special treatment. The whole time with Bethany or Carver you're being warned that mages are persecuted there. It another hole that is never explained. Hawke logically would have been arrested and your journey would end.

Maybe then we'd get another "get PC out of prison" quest like in Origins?  That was so hilarious!!!

That's from right after Hawke has spent some time getting better acquainted with Serendipity at the Blooming Rose.

Yeeeah. My Hawke hasn't got that problem. He wouldn't hit Anders, that's abuse, but he'll hit other things and make ugly faces.

And then go kill bandits. Because, god damn it, getting bandit goo all over you makes everything better.

PS: Considering the kinky things Anders did pre-Justice, he might like that. Careful.

It's not his job? For all he knows the fact you're so blatant about your magic means you're going to pull an Evelina and report to Orsino the minute you get inside. Once you do get inside, though, you are fully protected by bribes until Act 1 starts.

The guy they were going to hack up if you didn't burn them into crispy pieces seemed grateful, though. Maybe saving the person deciding who gets to go in counts for a lot.

Or it's just a hole so that mage characters can make it past the first year.

How does Anders convince Hawke back to bed? Promise of kinky sex. Works every time. It's like a compulsion.

"I'm upset with you. Really. Wait... you can do what? With what? And that's healthy? Well. I guess we can call truce."

I don't think it's melodramatic under the circumstances and it's certainly not condescending. Anders is the one who flies off the handle and accuses you of not caring about mage rights and not loving him because you want just a little bit more information than 'So I lied to you about what those ingredients were for and now I need you to distract the Grand Cleric.' What SHOULD she say if she ends up agreeing to help? "Certainly, honey. And your behavior is completely acceptable. So sorry I wanted a little more information on why you need alone time in the Chantry after we gathered highly explosive materials"?

I think it's a little extreme to say that just because lots of NPCs in the game aren't as grateful as they could be, gratitude is out of the question so it must be a plot hole.

Pretty sure it's not contagious. You have to get it from the source. It's not like some Thedas social disease.
