Because so much of communication is lost in text, it's diffficult to tell when one is not being condescending? 

I had a hard time reading it any other way, personally; saying "So this is the place? Pffft. That's not that funny" certainly sounds condescending, yes? Especially if you don't know the other person's text -- speech patterns?

Although, feeling like **** over that one little thing is very, ah, emotional response?

Has ANYONE been able to get the Rivalry Anders-Sides-With-Templars decision WITHOUT using the debugging code, or is this game so bugged that this scene is impossible to unlock?

I've done everything. Full 100% Rivalry, Had him question his decisions about Justice, All that jive and more. Still, he refuses to side with Templars (even though Hepler said this is possible).

Is this a bug or was it a last minute dev choice to cut this scene out?

Have you PMed Ms. Hepler? She might know what's going on, and if it is a bug, it can get reported to the right people.
