You know what cracked me up about that post?
The image of Anders flouncing.
It led to an image of him frolicking in a field with kittens, humming "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" under his breath.
I don't know why....I must pick apart my memory to discover why that image just flashed through my mind.

I believe he comes back in the end to fight with the mages. You can kill him, or you can help him. Either way.
But he isn't a member of your party anymore.

Yeah. I accidentally told him to GTFO then he left my party. He'll always show up in Act 3 to blow the chantry up though.

I haven't flirted with him, but whenever I talk to him like Questioning Beliefs or whatnot he gives the same sort of lines (without picking the heart symbol) as he gave when I romanced him in my first playthrough.....like the whole "It would kill me, I'd down us all in blood to keep you safe..."among other lines...and I've been staying far away form the hearts this game (hard to do with Anders! He's just so keen for some sort of human companionship)

Not really.
I think he just throws himself bodily at you and it's up to you to turn him down.
And after that he has a cosmic crush on Hawke and that's why he mentally tortures Fenris, if you're romancing him.
