YAY! This totally rocks. I thought he might have pulled a bit of illusion magic to make the corpse look more like him, but this is even better. I can just see him pulling the corpse into position JUST SO to make it look like he'd died the most heroic death possible. The epilogue slide did say something along the lines of "surrounded by darkspawn corpses, all felled by magic". Yay Anders, you are my hero.
ETA @Kawamura and time is DIFFICULT. Just ask David Gaider. According to DA:O Leliana should be forty-ish when you see her as Sister Nightingale. She doesn't look it does she?

There's Botox in Orlais.
So I just finished my rogue play through and I really like what Anders says at the end as friends. He doesn't seem (as) crazy as he is if Hawke is romancing him.

What does he say? There's only romance vids on youtube. Or ones with him executed.
I still want to see the video of him asking Hawke to kill him so his name will "live on to inspire future generations."

Ah I didn't realize. I will reload and have it up on youtube tout suite.
Here is the final battle convo.
I'll get the martyr scene up shortly.

Please excuse really lame joke above.
I'm glad I did a playthrough without romancing him, though. Definitely gave me some new insights to his character. I played on console though *sob* so I can't upload videos.

Anders was behind it all. I know he was.

It does make sense for him to be more crazypants if romanced, though. Anders is a man of deep passions, to the point of being self-destructive. He fights the templars regardless, but it takes on a whole different flavor if there's someone he can't bear to lose in the middle of all that danger. Especially since he fears being made Tranquil, and that would take his love for Hawke away from him.

I'm still disappointed that the rivalry and friendship conversations are the same if you support the mages as it doesn't really make sense on the rivalry path but I suppose they only have so much budget for VA.

I can't romance anyone else. I was originally going to do a Fenris, but I just can't. It must always be my Fem!Hawke Mage Anders loving mage-freeing Rhiannon. She is just the only Hawke, and Anders is just the only LI. It just IS.
I'm trying a third playthrough. MUST get Isabella to 100 BEFORE the book quest this time!
I finally managed to romance Anders on my most recent play-through, and now I think I might be a convert (I romanced Fenris in my other play-throughs). Something about the passion and the tragedy just really worked for me. And besides, Anders must have all the moves considering his experience (compared to Fenris, I mean). I just assume his skills in the bedroom are weighing heavily in my (sarcastic) Hawke's mind when weighing the crazy against the practicality of a relationship with Anders
And with Izzy, you can get some easy friendship points by using the sarcastic response when she turns on you in the Fade (during Feynriel's quest with the desire demon), then forgive her afterward. And in general, it seems that many things that give approval with Varric also give approval with Izzy (sarcasm, giving people the freedom to make their own decisions, being against slavery, lying to help people, etc).

Yay, we have a convert! Welcome to the kitty side!
Personally, I'd like to see a bit of exactly how Anders was a tender and devoted lover during those three years between Act 2 and 3. And yes, his adorable and passionate and sexy qualities do a lot to make up for the crazy.

Haha with Anders I can't stop thinking that he's probably got more experience than Hawke will EVER GET. In my mind they have a personal joke with Anders saying :so you prefer I was a sheltered and verginal young templar boy instead?
Haha oh Alistair

DLCs! I hope... I want a romantic one, just like a night out or w/e. We can kill some slavers along the coast and take a walk in the moonlight and then finish up with a random boss fight and a passionate return to our bedroom. Maybe throw in a sweet loving conversation about the future there, something along the lines of, Hey if you dont kill me after ive done something horrible and still want to be with me afterwards let's go and check out the Tevinter Emperium or something
