Not yet, I haven't played him enough yet to go looking for stuff. *bookmarks*

... And for some reason, my escape key has suddenly stopped working in DA2. Um. What.

LOL. I just remade mine.

Not sure if I completely like his new look.

He does at least look less boyish than my snarky mage good guy Hawke

I gave Anders some fire spells, since I play on Casual most the time and good builds aren't a needful thing. As a result, I really wish I could stop taking pictures of Anders with his hands on fire.

I still haven't given him fire. It's shameful.

On the other hand, the first thing I give him when I can is lightning spells, just on general principle. There's a lot of fools running around Kirkwall, after all. :)

Very nice, those eyes work well! I really, really love how in love everyone (including me!) is with the stubble and beard options in this game. I think I've yet to see a completely clean-shaven Hawke - the stubble just makes them far too roguishly handsome. Anders is obviously onto something!

Yep, me too.  He just seems to want fire spells so badly!  How can I say no to that face?

Well, he does need the fireballs if he's going to be thinking big. And I think he's thinking quite big in DA2.

I love the stubble.  The beards though. I don't dig beards. :bandit: If only CGI Hawke's beard was an option. Alas.

And yes Anders is onto something scruffy men are sexy. <3

I have to say, seeing those fireballs coming out of his hands makes me miss those little orb animations that Morrigan and Wynne have when you select them from the party menu. Would've liked to have seen him with a blue flame.

In my head, Hawke and Isabela were hooking up shortly (and repeatedly) after she got back from the Deep Roads and Anders put the kibosh (short for anyone interested) on whatever they might be feeling for each other. Hawke was lonely without her sister and sort of lost without any kind of goal besides "keep mom safe", so she spent a lot of time at the Hanged Man and Isabela was happy to take her mind off of it all.

But the Fenris thing wasn't sudden for my Hawke, who was hatemancing him the moment he used her as a distraction. She knew that she was attracted to him, and he to her, but she didn't expect it to matter much at all. Once it was over, and he left, she realized that she felt guilty for what she'd done because there was something there, for both of them. If he'd actually talked to her about it, she may have put off Isabela again and kept herself from Anders (because she respected his reasoning for not being with her). But he didn't, so she went back with Isabela for a while until Anders finally realized she wasn't going to go away, with her insistence on being supportive and protective, and he wasn't going to be any less into her.

And she fell for him before she even met him. Lirene's description of him got it started and the whole tortured healer/apostate thing and "Those bastards made me get rid of my cat!" were all like Hawke-nip to her. His kindness to Bethany just sealed it.

Surely, I love you!<3 That short is absolutely amazing, so thank you for sharing it.

I thought it was weird in Awakening that he doesn't get a mage-centric animation. Velanna does, but he just does that saucy hand-on-his-hip thing. WTF? He's, like, the poster child for mage pride! You'd think they'd give him some sparklefingers or something.

@TripLight Thank you!

Just the one?

I did give Anders fireball and chain lighting too. They're useful for when the rest of the party dies and I have to run around as Anders for a bit.

I'm probably late to the party but here is my Hawkette's story.
Lorelei Hawke, shamelessly named the same as my elf mage warden.
She was a tough cookie coming into Kirkwall but a little clueless about mage issues.  Once she's in Kirkwall she becomes more and more outraged.  After a year in Kirkwall, she hears the stories of the wardens saving Fereldan from the Blight so she starts having a major crush on grey wardens and dreaming of meeting one and swooning all over him.  She's really all gooey and silly and romantic under her tough exterior.  She's already thinking something must be done about the mage situation... when on her quest to better her life she hears that there is a grey warden in town.  She almost kissed Varric she was so excited to hear that news!  She flew to Lowtown to find this grey warden and heard amazing things... oh if he's as handsome as he is kind to others, he's a winner!
She then finally finds him, saving a boy with his healing magic and getting all protective against four strangers coming in with weapons (and magic).  Carver is a dolt as always and makes some stupid remark, but Lorelei hears nothing because she's totally mesmerized by this man.  She manages mostly to nod and agree, what was he saying?  saving some mage?  When it registers what he wants her to help with... her infatuation grows a thousand times over.  A grey warden, extremely hot... and he's all about mages and freedom?  Oh, I hit the jackpot!  From that moment on, Lorelei was determined to get Anders, and even though she found his comments endearing and oh so cute... "hurt me?  maybe I want that, she thought, but then knew better than to say out loud"... she was not to be dettered!  Even when meeting the hot elf, she thought he was cool and interesting and while she admired his loyalty (unlike other people in her circle, sigh)... she could not get her mind off of Anders.  She had no intent to play with Fenris' feelings, she could see through him enough to know that once he fell, he could fall deeply.  And besides, she didn't want to give Anders any more amunition about how she'd be better off without him.
And after three or so years of aching and staring at him with longing eyes, he finally caved it and kissed her... and by gawds, that kiss was worth all the waiting in the world!  And the three years had done nothing but to make her admire and love him more... his passion was infectious.  She already knew she wanted to do more for people, for mages... and he just added more fuel to her fire.  A man she could admire, that's what she'd always dreamt of.
She sometimes worried for him and they spent many times discussing ways to deal with what Anders had done to himself.  They spent as much time talking about how he was doing and feeling as they spent discussing the mage's plight.  Sometimes they both got riled up, and Lorelei was sometimes heard saying "I will kill them all if they try to lay a finger on you!"... between Varric and Lorelei, Anders was the most protected man in all of Kirkwall and his clinic was the safest place in Kirkwall where not even the most highly paid assassins dared to tread.
She wished Anders had let her just kill Meredith, but she realized full well that wouldn't solve the problems that had originally enraged her and convinced her that something essential must change in the world.  Anders went ahead with his plan, Lorelei understood why he did not tell her, she appreciated still getting to help... and as she promised years ago upon first learning of the circle and its issues... she killed and will kill anyone wanting to lay a finger on mages... or anyone she held dear.  Sometimes that meant killing templars and sometimes that meant killing demons.  She could understand how some in time of despair or out of arrogance turned to demons, but she had no interest in allowing them to hurt anyone.
In the end... they ran off into the world to fight in the war Anders started.  They started.  She knew Anders did not wish any blame to be on her soul, but she had been his partner and advisor and confidant for years... and his biggest fan.  This was her war, her doing, as much as his.  And all they could do was protect and defend the mages they threw into the conflict.

That's the story of my canon Lorelei with Anders.

Has anyone ever talked to Anders while in the Qunari compound. He says, "Qunari give me the creeps. No one is that dedicated to some abstract ideal."

Really Anders? Really?

Yeah. It's disappointing, really. Everytime I change party members, I can't help but frown a little when all he does is stand there like a boss. I mean, nothing bad about that.....just that, I would've approved of some serious sparklefingers myself.

And all my Hawkettes have serious crushes on Anders but don't go for him for various reasons:
Rogue Hawke - she just wants peace and she believes the circle can be made better from within, but not by fighting it all the time... so they're good buds but while she admires him, she knows it's best to let it be. and then she meets Fenris and he just sweeps her off her feet with his little smirks and she's like "oh maybe there's some hope of happiness". Totally ruined by him leaving her for 3 years but alas... too late... she's hooked.
Evil blood mage Hawke - totally admires Anders and his dedication and his mission, but he's so DEAD SET against blood mages and whatnots that she just doesn't think it's a good idea. Fenris and her fight over the mage issues since she's SO pro-mage, but then they flirt and have insane crazy angry sex that just feels good to aggressive Hawke. If it don't hurt, it doesn't feel, that seems to be her motto. o.O
Canon mage Hawke with Fenris - she's a bit more skittish with her heart and when Anders says they're a bad idea, she takes him seriously *sighs* and flirts with the cute elf. Who is her knight, she's a lot more fragile than canon Hawke with Anders and even though that elf breaks her heart at least once, they end up happily together. He even follows her in the fight for mage freedom, which silly girl as she is... she thinks it's like the ultimate gift of love.

They're all sappy, really, and hopeless. LOL

Oh yeah, I've gotten that line too - pretty much thought it was a case of the pot calling the kettle black. It always makes me laugh though (or snicker a bit internally anyway), considering his own obsession with mage freedom.

EDIT: LOL - someone ended up posting a pot/kettle pic while I was writing this!
