I'm probably late to the party but here is my Hawkette's story.
Lorelei Hawke, shamelessly named the same as my elf mage warden.
She was a tough cookie coming into Kirkwall but a little clueless about mage issues. Once she's in Kirkwall she becomes more and more outraged. After a year in Kirkwall, she hears the stories of the wardens saving Fereldan from the Blight so she starts having a major crush on grey wardens and dreaming of meeting one and swooning all over him. She's really all gooey and silly and romantic under her tough exterior. She's already thinking something must be done about the mage situation... when on her quest to better her life she hears that there is a grey warden in town. She almost kissed Varric she was so excited to hear that news! She flew to Lowtown to find this grey warden and heard amazing things... oh if he's as handsome as he is kind to others, he's a winner!
She then finally finds him, saving a boy with his healing magic and getting all protective against four strangers coming in with weapons (and magic). Carver is a dolt as always and makes some stupid remark, but Lorelei hears nothing because she's totally mesmerized by this man. She manages mostly to nod and agree, what was he saying? saving some mage? When it registers what he wants her to help with... her infatuation grows a thousand times over. A grey warden, extremely hot... and he's all about mages and freedom? Oh, I hit the jackpot! From that moment on, Lorelei was determined to get Anders, and even though she found his comments endearing and oh so cute... "hurt me? maybe I want that, she thought, but then knew better than to say out loud"... she was not to be dettered! Even when meeting the hot elf, she thought he was cool and interesting and while she admired his loyalty (unlike other people in her circle, sigh)... she could not get her mind off of Anders. She had no intent to play with Fenris' feelings, she could see through him enough to know that once he fell, he could fall deeply. And besides, she didn't want to give Anders any more amunition about how she'd be better off without him.
And after three or so years of aching and staring at him with longing eyes, he finally caved it and kissed her... and by gawds, that kiss was worth all the waiting in the world! And the three years had done nothing but to make her admire and love him more... his passion was infectious. She already knew she wanted to do more for people, for mages... and he just added more fuel to her fire. A man she could admire, that's what she'd always dreamt of.
She sometimes worried for him and they spent many times discussing ways to deal with what Anders had done to himself. They spent as much time talking about how he was doing and feeling as they spent discussing the mage's plight. Sometimes they both got riled up, and Lorelei was sometimes heard saying "I will kill them all if they try to lay a finger on you!"... between Varric and Lorelei, Anders was the most protected man in all of Kirkwall and his clinic was the safest place in Kirkwall where not even the most highly paid assassins dared to tread.
She wished Anders had let her just kill Meredith, but she realized full well that wouldn't solve the problems that had originally enraged her and convinced her that something essential must change in the world. Anders went ahead with his plan, Lorelei understood why he did not tell her, she appreciated still getting to help... and as she promised years ago upon first learning of the circle and its issues... she killed and will kill anyone wanting to lay a finger on mages... or anyone she held dear. Sometimes that meant killing templars and sometimes that meant killing demons. She could understand how some in time of despair or out of arrogance turned to demons, but she had no interest in allowing them to hurt anyone.
In the end... they ran off into the world to fight in the war Anders started. They started. She knew Anders did not wish any blame to be on her soul, but she had been his partner and advisor and confidant for years... and his biggest fan. This was her war, her doing, as much as his. And all they could do was protect and defend the mages they threw into the conflict.
That's the story of my canon Lorelei with Anders.
