My husband and I are on are 3rd and 4th playthroughs and have played it more than DA:O. I had no idea it was so despised. Think I'll stay in here with the kitten pics and Twix jokes. Much nicer.

I'm surprised at the hate as well. However, I think a lot of those people hate it because they hated it since it was announced, and they don't want to like it.

So far I'm liking it more than Origins.

Agreed. Although, the massive amounts of Anders hate isn't really phasing me. Then again, I am also an unrepentant Loghain fangirl, so... my skin got thick here pretty quick. LOL

Oh, and I know it was over 30 pages back, but just had to say you guys keep me in stitches. Seriously. Whenever work got bad today, I'd think back to "my prettiest hobo" or "creepy Anders and his disturbing Hawke love shrine and stealing undergarments to smell them later" comments and LOL my butt off. Pure gold, this thread. Also, all the creeper comments made me think about a potential tongue-in-cheek banner in the same vein as "Merril, she's a keeper".... "Anders, he's a creeper."

Personally I liked Origins more. It felt like a more complete experience. I had stayed away from the news in regards to Dragon Age 2 and managed to feel like I'd gotten only part of a project once I had finished it.

Well yes, there is a big difference between people with thought out opinions and gits.

I've heard DA2 described as "75% of a better game than Origins", and I think that sums up how I feel about it pretty well. I love what's there, but it probably would have been better if they'd had more time to work on it. Anders makes up for most of the recycled dungeons and ghoul hands, though.

All the hate really does baffle me. I haven't seen such a concentrated effort to **** all over anything since, what, furries in 2005? There are so many games that are so much worse.

But really, it's the same old story. 
If it was called "Kitten Age" it would have been a totally nice RPG. 

Whatever you put a "2" in the tile, this is going to happen. I personally like both games, for different reasons. But I like the fact that they dared to change. Sure, a bit more time could have granted us less boring levels and less bugs (some are game-breaking, really, they need to test more...). But the game is perfectly fine, no need to start those flame wars...

I think most are in agreement that more time could have been spent on it to give us a more polished product. Love interests for me won't compisate for ****** poor execution because they are a mere fragment of a larger piece. Recycled dungeons, ninja enemies, and seven in-game years that pass like weeks just to name a few.

I don't consider Fable to be a pinacle of gaming perfection but Molyneux knows how to convey the passage of time. Their production time passed like Kirkwalls days. In a blink of an eye.

If they had put DA:O style pda in the game, it would beat Origins hands down for me.
Anders: Haven't we seen this dungeon before?
