Justice doesn't approve of the romance? That's a shame. My FemHawke likes him too. xD

Then Hawke made a little joke about their "threesome".
Justice sees it as a distraction... an obstacle between them and VENGEANCE! (But secretly he's jealous, I'll bet.)

I'm going down the friendship path with him. I was thinking the rivalry would be more "Look, calm down, you can't just go vengeance-ing everybody all the time" but it seems like the only way to rack up major rivalry points is to be more like "MAGES SUCK! HAHAHAHA!".In his particular case, the friendship/rivalry seems more based on mages vs. templars than raging vengeance vs. chilling out.
I squeed like mad when Anders kissed Hawke.
It was better than the "sex" scene, IMO. And I also snickered when he said "Justice doesn't approve" or something like that... grumpy old Justice.
ETA: So when Anders moves in with Hawke, does he not actually move in? Or does it happen later? He's still in clinic, day or night.
Dear god, that kiss was amazing. It did more for me than any sex scene I've seen in a video game so far, especially with the hold blocky awkward kisses from DA:O.
But yea, I'm also wondering about if he really does move in with you. I don't want the Templars to gets him!

That's awesome! I'll be sure to choose that line when I get to it. (I'm still playing and replaying Act 1.)leggywillow wrote...

Poor Justice. I think he would like my Hawke though. She supports vengeance!

So Anders...
I know you were pissed at the templars but... really? That may have been a little bit over the top.

I knew it. There had to be something crazy he would do later. Were you on a friendship or rivalry path? I wonder if it matters. I kinda think that regardless of the path you're in with him he'd snap at Templars.
Steelcry posted a romance guide for all LI. The Anders guide led me to believe it doesn't matter what you choose.

I can't really blame him. His emotional and mental health have been severely impaired after years and years of pent up anger towards the oppression he faces everyday just for being born a certain way. The templars snatched him from his parents when he was 12, confined him in what could literally be called a prison, and mercilessly turned his boyfriend into a tranquil. Like he said, he found love and similarity with Karl because together, they were able to pretend that they weren't just slaves to the templars. There's just no way the templars/Chantry could escape unscathed. For Anders, it was either finding a way (albeit morally questionable) to finally grab their attention or the mage cause is lost.

See... I kind of find this odd strength in character for him. It wasn't an entirely selfish act in my mind... it was vengeance for years and years of oppression by the Chantry. And it wasn't exactly that he was taking exact revenge, or so I think... he was forcing their hand. By removing the so-called "mediating" force (which is wholly biased to the Templars based on the Chantry doctrine -- the Grand Cleric DID give power to Meredith), he has forced Hawke to make a clear cut decision one way or the other, and has inspired the uprising of other Circles all over Thedas... The world is going to change inevitably.
The issue was going to come to a head one way or the other, given the rising tensions... The Andastrian belief and the Chantry are strong, and there will be quite a fight ahead, and many will die. But it all has to start somewhere, and how else to counter the years and years of oppression and strict doctrine but with something that will rock everyone to their very core? A strongly-worded letter? A peaceful protest that can be squashed at the drop of a hat, given the Chantry's authority? It's a tragedy... but profound and awe-inspiring at the same time (at least to me).
Whee, late night rambling. I might just be a tad daft, don't mind me. Currently playing a Mage Hawke that didn't have much of a chance at a "normal" life to begin with. Go Anders.

Still, I think he went after the wrong people. I mean they were close to rebellion anyway, I was on his side. There was no need for the complete slaughter like that. I still kept him with me, but I have no doubt that Vengeance will overtake him at some point and there will be nothing left of Anders. I honestly can't remember a mage in this game though that didn't resort to blood magic at some point. But the Anders moment definitely scared and surprised the hell out of me. Did not expect that at all.

So, yeah. The kiss was pretty wonderful, and the love scene was not nearly as embarrassing as it could have been. That being said, I am the weirdest of weird because the thing that made me awwww the loudest was clicking on the lute by the fireplace and having Hawke muse over his lackluster lute playing skills. It has put the best image ever in my head, both of him awkwardly serenading Hawke and Hawke having Varric stealthily teach him a few bard skills.
Now allow me to go to bed and have fun pretending that this thing will turn out the happiest of happy!
OMG I will have to go find that! I LOVED the stuff you could click on in Hawke's house. I love how it hinted at Hawke and her companions' lives beyond what we see in game, with Isabela vandalizing things and Sandal swinging from chandeliers. Anders is apparently writing a manifesto, which made me giggle.
Reading the Codex entry you get after he moves in makes me sad. He seems to be completely losing his mind. In my game now, poor Hawke is jumping at the chance to get Justice out of him.

Somehow I doubt there's a medium ground for Sebastian and Anders. There's no ground for you to reason realistically on a point that Sebastian would be able to accept.
Considering they're more or less sniping at each other the moment you put them in the same party together... no, I don't think so either. (Although I snorted when Anders pointed out that Sebastian has a carving of Andraste on his belt buckle and snarked about Sebastian "shoving the Maker's bride's head between his legs every morning". Maybe I'm biased, but I gotta agree with Anders on that count... plus okay, Sebastian strikes me as the awfully paladin sort. D:)

*snerk!* Yeah, I giggled when I heard that line, too, but I didn't keep Anders and Sebastian in the same party for long. I had originally intended to go with Fenris/Sebastian/Anders, but that just didn't work out, and my favourite party became Anders/Varric/Carver, which eventually turned into Anders/Varric/Fenris (despite the obvious sniping between Anders and Fenris, and that I ended up cringing every time Fenris gave me that disappointed face when I sided with Anders/mages). I eventually decided not to bring Fenris along anymore and swapped in Aveline, whom I also
THIS GAME MAKES HAVING TO CHOOSE THREE COMPANIONS SO HARD. I want to have them all with me all the time *sobs*

Yes, he does. I skipped the first flirty option during the conversation after Karl's death, and in the next conversation I had with him in the clinic, he called my FemHawke beautiful (for MaleHawke, I think it's "handsome," from what I've read on the forums), and there were three options to respond with - two for yes and one for no.manda65 wrote...

I didn't either; Sebastian was only in my party because I was finishing his quest. My party in Act I was Varric/Anders/Carver, which I sort of dubbed Team Snark. Then after Carver left I went SOD IT, LET'S MAKE THIS TEAM MAGE and used Merrill instead. Everything sort of went up in flames after that.

That's probably about the length of time I had Seb and Anders together, also. I wanted to use more Merrill, but I couldn't resist the siren call of Gideon Emery (until he started pulling the >:| face). I am a weak, weak woman. And I just found Aveline so adorable/endearing that I couldn't leave her alone (until Carver came back at the end and it was like YES GET OVER HERE BROTHER and the Anders/Varric/Carver team was reunited! Albeit with decidedly less snark ;~; ).I didn't either; Sebastian was only in my party because I was finishing his quest.
