Sad times ahead.
And yes, you can drag him off for more sexy time, but there is no scene. He just moves in towards you and it fades to black.
Yeah, I know there's no scene, but I haven't found a video of the drag off. I don't have any nearby saves and I don't have the heart for a replay yet. Ah well, just more motivation for me to buckle down and play again. Especially now that I know where to save to replay happy times when the most depressing times roll in.

Did anyone lose a lot of their companions when they decided to spare him? Luckily, I only lost Sebastian. I got teary-eyed when everyone stood by Hawke- even Nate and Zevran helped me out! And Cullen! YAY!
Yeah everybody backed me up. Nobody left me and I was like "That's right!! stay right here y'all..." but how did you get Nate and Zevran to help you out? Are you talking about the final battle? I only got Cullen and my sister!
I don't know...I didn't even notice them at first in all the craziness of that final battle. But I was hovering my cursor over the different statues to see how much HP they had left, and my cursor landed on Zevran. Once I saw that, I started looking around, and sure enough, there was Nathaniel, trusty bow in hand. Maybe they were there and you didn't notice them? It made my night! It almost made up for Anders stabbing me in the back!
Oh man, I have to pay attention then. I remember I was in panic mode since I was being attacked by a bunch of statues and Meredith creepy self, and there were a bunch of everything fighting. Anyway, I'm in Act 2 of my second playthrough so I'll check it out. Thanks.

Also Alistair never took his vows, he had training and education but never actually became a templar. He was conscripted before that could happen.
I guess I should talk to Sandal more often, I never got this response! VERY INTERESTING!
Oh, wow, never got that convo. I did get a convo with him where he talks about waking up in the middle of the night and seeing a really old woman standing by his bed. "She has a creepy laugh." And I'm all, like, OMG Flemeth is in my house????
Also, contributing another Anders-y song. Haven't noticed ThreeParts updating the Grooveshark playlist yet, but I heard part of this song on "House" last night and it totally made me think of angsty Anders.
"This Night" by Black Lab
There are things,
I have done.
There's a place,
I have gone.
There's a beast,
And I let it run.
Now it's runnin' my way.
There are things,
I regret.
That you can't forgive.
You can't forget.
There's a gift,
That you sent.
You sent it my way.
So, take this night.
Wrap it around me like a sheet.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I need a place to sleep.
So, take this night.
Lay me down on the street.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I hope that I'll be given
Some peace.
There's a game,
That I played.
There are rules,
I had to break.
There's mistakes,
That are made.
But I made 'em my way.
So, take this night.
Wrap it around me like a sheet.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I need a place to sleep.
So, take this night.
Lay me down on the street.
I know I'm not forgiven,
But I hope that I'll be given
Some peace.
Some peace.
Some peace.

Although it's fun to take him to capture that noble mage with the horrible hair. Between the "You should have been in the Ferelden Circle! Everyone was kissing everyone there!" and his closing down Fenris' concerns that they were being tricked with "No, I think he's just that pathetic." it's pretty funny. For Anders. In Act 3.

Again, I have got to give BW credit for making Act 3 so freaking heartbreaking for the Anders romance. Like even his ambient dialogue is so...sad and final.

Varric totally wins that conversation, though. "Can I please kill him now? He's hurting me." Said through gritted teeth.

Yeah, that was a good scene. Same with the one when you give him the key. But between then and the last dialogue where you run off is well...an awesome game...but so sad.

Varric is made of the stuff of awesome. If Anders hadn't stolen my heart from the word go, I probably would've given it to Varric. And I'm not even a dwarf person.

Thousand Mile Wish - Finger Eleven
Forgive me if now I wear the face of worry
This time alone could never cause any doubt
But I’ve been cold too long
Such a strange time to find myself coming down as the rain
With all the holes my love,
To fill up from the middle
This storm could stay all night
So can you stay until we close our eyes
Til your dreams hold mine
Just stay until we know we tried one more time
Cause laughing lovers can overcome their closest demons
And they’ll go on and they won’t let go
They saw something that they know
Has never come so close
Can it stay here for us, for now?
Can it stay until we know ourselves?
I’m torn as I tell
You’re the story that I know and fell from
I’m so far into your story I don’t know why
We think we’re in control
When we lie between the lines
We’ll find a line to follow
It’s got to show real soon
Or we’ll never reach this high
We climb a little further
Cause there’s nothing we can’t get around together
Further gets colder until nothing was all that I saw around
So we stay until the ground
That we can’t come down from splits us away
Maybe stars know why we fall
I just wish they were thinking out loud
Oh, I could wish all night

The first flirt you get with him in Act I - if you don't flirt with him.... he's the old Anders![]()
. For about a minute before he gets all serious again. I didn't see that the first time around, but it broke my heart this time. It's like he goes "oooh, pretty girl, I know what to do here!" and then he flirts, and then he realises "oh, whoops, inhabited by a vengeful spirit... forgot that bit."
Right? Then he's there again when talking about kittens and virgins. Need more flirty Anders.
And more Action Anders screenshots. He died during the dragon fight this time, right after Hawke. Aveline shouted "The Whiny Mage is down!" and I LOL'd.

I want someone to compile a list of what everyone says when people die.
"They got Varric! You bastards!" has to be my favorite thus far.

LOL, I heard that one too. And one time when Lady Hawke fell, I heard him shout "NO! Please don't be dead!" It filled with me with squee, and now I "accidentally" let her get pretty beaten up to try and hear it again. XD
Oh man, I just let him kill the little mage girl to see what happens.

I truly have the most love/hate relationship with Anders. My Lady Hawke loves him dearly but does not support his actions at all. I have a mental struggle everytime I see him in the game. Our rival-mance was most fitting. *sigh*
I also stare at him when he's fighting. lol I died twice because I thought "he looked cool fighting".
*checks Lady Hawke's health bar....oops*

Oh nooooooo! He gets so sad.
I like that he's worried about Hawke when she and Aveline get chased out of the Qunari Compound. Between that, his battle cries and how sweet he is after Leandra dies, he's a much better boyfriend than Alistair.
Well, Alistair wouldn't blow up a Chantry. But Anders wouldn't dump you in front of your friends!
*has screwed up priorities right now*

Merrill: Ser Pounce-a-lot... who knighted him?
Anders: Is that a serious question?
Merrill: Did he have a little sword, or just his claws? I bet he had a dashing cap with a feather in it!
Anders: Would you stop making fun of my cat?
Merrill: Oh... no hat, then?
Though it goes to show how much of a stick in the mud he's become since Awakening. I blame Justice.

The mages really do get some excellent casting animations. And Anders makes them that much sexier
I think my love/hate relationship with Anders is more love than hate. Even though there is a fair amount of GODDAMNIT ANDERS. He and my Lady Hawke have such a powerful, emotional, and kind of twisted relationship.

Meanwhile, I was just looking back through old quotes of Anders' from Awakening, came across this one and just about died:
"That ballista is conveniently placed, isn’t it? Well, I’m always up for a spot of iconoclasm!"
YEAH, NO FREAKING KIDDING.
