When I started at the place I'm at now there was a guy who was constantly running around fixing things, staying late, working overtime, etc... because he was completely incompetent. He had everyone else totally buffaloed though, and they thought he was super sysadmin because he was always running around with his hair on fire. I said, "You do realize that he's the one breaking it all in the first place,right?" herp derp
He didn't last long after that.
Sysadmins prey on weaker sysadmins... Windows admins are the first to go.

So my eyes have just stumbled upon this article on kotaku. This might be old news to some, but as I seldom wander around the forum, am a bit out of the loop.

So, here's the deal: straight people get offended at Anders because he shows interest in their character. Gay people get offended at Anders because Anders show interest in their character. I don't get it. The point is not his sexual orientation - the point is him being interested in Hawke.

He makes passes at men. He makes passes at women. He's a gentleman of wide, refined tastes. I am obvliously no gay man, but in my eyes, not only treating him like "an offensive portrayal of gay men" is completely missing the point, but trying to actively fire David Gaider over it reaches levels of wangst I can barely start to describe.

It's not about his sexual orientation. It's about his character. And this completely misses the point.

Anders, so controversial, always. How can I not love you so?

They were hazel. Now they're just straight up brown, IMO.

I thought brown, too, in the game. That screencap with the glasses, though... *squints* they really look hazel in it.

I think there's a rule on when to use each version correctly, but I can never remember it, and I've never written a fic where character's name ended in "s" before.

Also, both are acceptable, but most people prefer the single 's'. It drives me batty they've done it the other way around in-game!

Anders' eyes are strange, because there are actual brown eyes in the game (Lirene and non-default Bethanies get them). Anders' were definitely hazel in Awakening, but now I'd consider them more amber than brown.

And, please used Anders'. Otherwise I want to pronounce it Anderseses.
