Since I just saw it two seconds ago...Anders asked what she is, a spirit or an abomination because he's never seen magic like that before. Flemeth says that he would know all about spirits and abominations. Anders gets a bit defensive and insists that he's a mage so of course he does. Flemeth mockingly repeats 'of course.'

Played it twice now(going on 3) and I can't not romance him, he's just too damn lovable.

Silly wiminz! I guess I can add my Hawke looking into his soul? (Ignore the fact he looks almost exactly like Andy Whitfield No matter how hard I try that's always the look I get.)

Yes, he's a very polarizing character.  Kudos to Ms. Hepler for writing him.

I've always suspected that no one really knows the nature of spirits and demons, even those in the Circle.  They know they are there and what their existence SEEMS to mean, but the understanding seems to stop there.

I think he found out waaaay too late, sadly.  I was beginning to consider Merrill's explanation of it: that the Fade is nothing more than another place where other people lives (ie spirits and demons), and that each spirit and demon is an individual (which would make sense, as some of the demons we see are individually named).

The way that Flemeth regards Merrill seems to think that the Dalish may have the closer answer -- maybe not the complete one, but close.

Hey, this silly wimmin romanced him with a male Hawke I romanced Fenris my second playthrough, I pretty much ignored Anders this time around to resist the temptation. Fenris doesn't break my heart, but I am a masochist and love having my heart ripped out and stomped on, so it doesn't feel as good

I was going to attempt the Fenris romance in my second playthrough, and I did the whole arc in Act 2, until he left after the love scene. Did Ander's Dissent quest and the conversation after...then next thing I know, Anders has moved in >.> Wonder how that happened...

I swear I am going to romance someone else the next playthrough.

Well, just think of Fenris as a kindred spirit then! Though I'm not gonna talk anyone out of romancing Anders, Fenris' romance is really nice. *waves Team Both flag*

I know it's supposed to be nice I definitely favour Anders since I've loved him since Awakenings, despite the changes, but I sure would love to be able to resist him--although I'm never desapointed when I can't.

So wine and Fenris...maybe that will work.

As cute as both Anders and Fenris' sad look, I think Fenris wins the puppy eyes contest. It's the big eyes. I just plain like Fenris' cutscenes better. Though most of them are him just sitting there, most of Anders is just standing and he never throws a bottle at the wall. >=[

That said, Anders' romantic scenes are hands down the winners. His kisses look (and sound) like they're actually happening, which is win.

I just hate seeing him sporadically in my anti-Anders playthrough. I went to go talk to Varric and GAH ANDERS! And I immediately went to talk to him in his clinc. >_> I'm bad at abstinence.

It kills me with adorableness. And he sounds/looks like he would die happy to hear you agree. 'Hopeless romantic' indeed.

I rolled a female Hawke and realized I wasn't going to hear that, put her away, and rolled another male. Even if you don't romance him the boundlessly romantic attitude both compliments and contrasts his uh, stunt, nicely.

But seriously, the way he acts toward a dude Hawke is so sweet, there's a lot more flirty talk and a bit of levity despite it all that I didn't see in the vids I saw of the same convo with fem Hawke. Then again,  maybe it's just the video I saw that was all "OMG I DON'T WANNA HURT U~~~" which was kinda , you're already going there on the first conversation from a jokey flirt?

I saw a leaked video before the game came out of that convo with Anders and mHawke, it's what pushed me from relative ambivalence to "ohgodhe'sadorableeeee". Makes me sad lady Hawke doesn't get that, since it's wonderful

Interesting! I love the Anders vs Fenris stuff. Doing Anders ingredient quest while romancing Fenris also triggers him saying something about it. Which is awwweesoooommmee. Thank you, devs.
