He seems like he would be one of those guys that gets personally offended when you ignore his pokes.

That he makes sure to send hourly. He wouldn't want Hawke to think he doesn't care.

Chantry innocent my eye.... Just doing the Qunari quests where Patrice tells you to go to Varnel's hideout. I spoke to Elthina first and told her about the qunari and her seal and she makes some comment along the lines of not all paths are righteous or something and she'll step in when necessary. It sounds like she knows all about Patrice and her little Qunari stirring and approves :o

Bloody Elthina. I really hate my conversations with her. I handed over Alric's papers and she was all "Oh this is the Templar who was brutally murdered a couple of days ago?"

..."no, lady, this is the Templar who was tranquiling mages and then raping them, and WANTED TO DO IT TO ALL THE MAGES IN THEDAS. Sorry if THAT'S the thing that sticks out for me as far as he is concerned. Oh, and I'm totally the one who murdered him. Just so you know."

That's the thing that gets me about the Chantry.  Sure, the mages in Kirkwall are crazy.  Their crazy is a result of desperation and fear.  But the templars' crazy is a result of active abuse, prejudice, and neglect, and the Chantry turns a ****ing blind eye to it because Elthina can't get off her moral high horse to do some goddamn good.  Sure both sides are crazy, but I'm a lot more forgiving of the mages than the templars.

When they were both in the Ferelden Tower, or in Kirkwall? Or both, in an epic love story that spans decades?

Completely off any topic on this thread, but I noticed your Anders playlist.  I was listening to it and looking at the songs( clearly) I just wanted to add, have you heard the song from Within Temptation called "Stand my ground" ?  Because that would be another good Anders song.  Also I can't help but hear Muse's "Uprising" whenever I see the ending of the game -.- it haunts me so

Nope, haven't heard it myself, but I'll add it to the list and check it out. The playlist is open to suggestions from all comers, so just post in this thread or shoot me a PM if you think of anything fitting!

SimAnders and SimZevran - LOL! That almost makes me want to get a Sims game. Ah well, I just got my 3DS and Nintendogs today. I hereby vow to name my future golden retriever Anders, and one of the cats shall be Ser Pounce-a-Lot (or Pounce - I'm guessing there won't be enough character space for the full name).

Completely agree. Kaya won't be sad at all when Anders blows up the Chantry. Alric started her extreme templar hate, and she has a good amount of resentment towards the Chantry for doing nothing to stop their actions. There's only one templar she likes, and that's Thrask - who helps mages escape. (Oh wait, Carver's a templar in Kaya's game... but she doesn't exactly like him.)

Alric quest, was the quest that really made me hate not so much templar's but the chantry for not doing jack **** about everything going on.  Alric is luck we didn't get a in depth cut scene of his death, because I can assure you it wasn't Anders would have had to worry about, but the axe wielding woman behind him >.<  Up until that quest I was like eh Therask is a good Templar, clearly things might be all that bad...then that happened and I was like "**** it you all die! And you took my sister!!!"

That and quest and the "All that remains" quests touched me the most, honestly...next to the kiss scene with Anders...I was blushing for hours!

Also I won't into the rant on how I feel about the Grand Cleric *grumbles*

That was the moment when Kaya decided that all templars need to die, as well. (Never mind the fact that Thrask and her brother are templars. She didn't think that far ahead.) It was so awesome that I could show that in her brief conversation with Justice. When he was raging about the templars, Kaya almost sounded like she was comforting him when she said "we'll kill them all." Maybe it was the fact that I've mostly chosen the diplomatic options for Kaya that made her tone of voice sound like that instead of an agressive threat, but it was perfect.

I really do wonder if she did nothing on purpose so that what did happen would happen? She confuses me too much. I can't understand how someone could do nothing at all, even if she gave support to the templars.

Rant all you want.  I'm sure you'll find sympathizers around here :P

The Alrik quest raised my hackles because while he was just one man, no one DID anything about him.  And no one condemned what he did.  Meredith and the Divine both knew what he was plotting.  If you take his letters to Cullen and Elthina, both of them fixate on his murder instead of the fact that he was a lobotomizing, rapist BASTARD within their own ranks.  How much damage was he going to do if Hawke and Anders hadn't gutted him like the animal he was?  No one else would've stopped him.

Yeah with all that was going on, I don't know who anyone is a position like that can just sit there with their thumb up their ass, I would have been going bat **** crazy trying to figure something out.

I really didn't see her as a morally good woman, I didn't her as bad.  I didn't get the dialog about her talking down about the mages or about Alric(new play through here I come) But her just sitting there watching the train wreck that was coming, had me seeing red.

Huh, I had never considered going to talk to Elthina and Cullen after that quest. Guess I'll have to do that this time around.

Yeah, if you talk to Elthina, it's pretty clear that she is not doing much to stop templar abuses.

My Hawke is big on action and responsibility.  If you CAN do something, you SHOULD do something.  Sitting around waving your hands in a token gesture for peace does not count as doing something.  It's why by Act 3, she had basically given up on both Sebastian and Elthina.

WHAT? WHERE?
Sorry, this is one pairing I've been dying to ship :pinched: I imagine them to be like Greagoir and Irving someday. An old gay couple who like to squabble at each other. That's assuming Cullen gets to keep his head.

I didn't know it was possible to talk with them about it afterwards until I read about it on the forums. Is it possible talk with them later (still in Act II) even though it's been a while since the mission was done? And now I just had a horrible thought, which doesn't apply to Kaya, but would to some Hawkes. Bethany could be in that Circle. If Hawke and Anders didn't do something, she could have one of the victims.

I really love that the characters that we hate so much - Sebastian, Elthina, and (to a lesser degree) Cullen - were all written by the same person who wrote Anders. I don't know if our preferences reflect Ms Hepler's, but it does give the whole situation a more complete, finished feel than you might get if several writers were each trying to add their own story to the mix.

I just don't know if it's a good or a bad thing that I find Anders the most sympathetic character of them all. The crazy, possessed apostate won me over more than the kind, grandmotherly priestess, the faithful brother with the murdered family, and the Templar who's seen terrible things and is just trying to do his job the best he can.

Am I twisted, or is the story?

No kidding the hint that he was raping the Tranquil, had me fuming for hours and all I could really think was "MY SISTER IS THERE!!! HAWKE SMASH!"

But as for the Grand Cleric *takes in a deep breath.*

Like in my post above, how the **** can somone in her position just sit there like it is nothing??! The entire is on the verge of destorying itself! I mean come on! Even the citizens could see it and were vocing worry, for **** sake woman pull your tumb out of your ass.  I really really wanted to like her, but her wanting to stand there and just watch because thats what Andraste and the Maker want?! The screw that religion and the Make can kiss my Hawke sexy white behind!  I swear by all that is good in that world if she would have been trying to do anything, I mean anything.  I don't think Anders would have done such a desprate act, I think even Justice wouldn't have seen that act as Justice!  He was right on no compamise, because all she would have done was sigh and be like "Champion take care of this as I am old and lazy"  Hawke would have then removed Merideths head and we all danced around her corpse but Seb...he isn't cool enough.  She to was worse then the Knight Commander, as it was almost clear that Merideth had the Grand Cleric under her boot!  Also I think it is so BS that she was like "You over estimate my power Hawke."  What?!  Are you not like mini Divine?  You can call for the right to kill all mages, but you can't tell Merideth to GTFO? LIES!!

Sorry for any massive error in the rant, as I was raised in a German, English household, and was unfortunate in not mastering either of the two -.-

Alittle of column A and a whole dash of column B.

I know I tried to give Sebastian and Elthina the benefit of the doubt, but it seemed like everytime they opened their mouths I wanted to close it for them, via blunt force trauma...

Actually maybe I AM the crazy one.
