Anders really grew on me through the game. I didn't really like him at the beginning, but later on(knowing that he was going to blow up the chantry) I started to find him a very complex character. He tried to be nice and sweet but had something else on his agenda. ...I totally felt betrayed when he lied about the Justice potion. xD

Smirking is such an Awakening Anders thing to do! He could have taken on the Archdemon with his smirk alone.

And it makes me sad when people say they didn't like him in Awakening. I realize I have a weakness for people with dorky senses of humor (and cat lovers), but I also liked how he could be so seemingly shallow yet compassionate, and obviously longing for more than just a pretty girl, a decent meal and the right to shoot lightning at fools. I meal, no doubt a pretty girl, a decent mean and the right to shoot lightning at fools would make an awesome day, but I never really thought that it would be enough for him.

Anyway...Facetome is amaaaazing. Very well done.

Well, if he has the right to shoot lightning at fools that would probably mean that mages were free, and free to abuse people to boot.

The cat thing becomes a bit much throughout the game, and I didn't use him much due to playing a mage. I'd take him over Velanna any day of the week though.

So on the subject of Anders, I have a hard time thinking about how he'd not be annoyed by his annoyingly short but long hair. I have a Fenris going on right now, but in a month I'm going to be sporting an Anders. It drives me insane until I can finally get it cut again. Or I'll luck out and end up with a def!female hair again, however that happened.
I just don't get how it can be so long but so ridiculously short at the same time.

Mine is about in this place right now. I have Hawke in the front, Hobo in the back. I'm calling it the Thedas mullet.

I always assumed he meant that he just wanted to use his magic the same way anyone else used their abilities (also, to torment templars), but your intepretation, cynical as it is, is probably the correct one. 

And I spent the first half of my 20s prepping for a life of crazy catladydom with one of my friends. He could have talked through Pounce the entire game and I'd still be starry-eyed for Anders.

I was just about to say that lol.
He has little "Hahs" but no "Ha ha ha's" to speak for. It felt like a chore to get him to even smile.

To be fair, I don't think anyone finds sarcastic Hawke funny. Except herself. And Fenris! Fenris laughs at her stupid jokes sometimes.
