I like the idea of his parents being a bit older and Anders being the youngest child.  I don't know why, but I get the impression his mother doted on him quite a bit, so I can easily see Anders being the youngest child and totally taking advantage of being the baby of the family.

In my head he's the youngest of two, but the elder died.  I killed off the elder sibling to make his mother more doting...and since there's nothing cannon, I'm happy with own-head backstory.

He definately comes across as the little brother in Awakenings.

I got the feeling it was spelled and connected to that staff-tapping thing he did.

He's such a giant queen at times, straight, bi, pan, whatever. He makes me smile.

lol. it's the opposite for me. i have only older brothers, they gang up on me. but they're also always ready to start a fight for me, so i guess they make up for it in the end.

somehow i imagine Anders to be an only child because he's just soo needy for affection.

When he wants food he goes to the kitchen and swats at people until he's fed, but apparently he spends time just pining and meowing in front of my door... *SOBS*

I wondered that myself...did he send anonymous notes to Orsino and Meredith to get them together and fighting at just the perfect time? 

Oh, how pissed would he have been if it hadn't worked?

Aww thats so cute/sad.  My cat has to sleep in the bed with me, she thinks I am her kitten.  So when I am gone my roomate said she sits in the bed and meows like someone killed her littler, not even Odin can cheer her up

He either detonated it or spontaneously developed a preternatural sense of timing.

His was one of the first quests I'd done in Act III, so he would have waited a long time for my completionist ass to read my mail.

That's one of the gifts that's bugged, isn't it? I got the same one on my rivalry playthrough as I did on friendship.

ETA : It gives you friendship no matter what, too, which isn't intended behavior, so I'm thinking it's definitely bugged.

When I tried to rivalmance him, I didn't get a different dialogue, though it might have bugged on me.  The romances like to do that I have noticed.

Nope.  I wonder if that's another bug?  I know Fenris's gift conversations differ DRASTICALLY in rivalry vs. friendship.  It makes sense that Anders's would, too.  I know the key you give him in Act 3 differs a bit in rivalry.
