It is like the jihad that Paul Muad'dib tries to avoid the whole time. It is inevitable. It is the thing that cannot be run from. And both stories have had that feeling to them. I like the idea that these people are heros, but heros are also those who cannot escape what they are in.

Okay, I'm convinced that the rival romance scene was supposed to go differently. For one thing, he mentions the "aching for you for 3 years" thing twice: during the kiss scene and later during the romance scene. I can't help but think that he was only supposed to bring it up once (kiss scene for rivals, romance scene for friends).
Has anyone found anything to indicate a different rival scene in the magical "talk tables" (or wherever they've been finding lost dialogue, I don't know).

I actually think (with Friendmance Anders) the biggest impediment to splitting him and Justice would be Anders himself. Imagine having spent a year in solitary, then imagine finding someone they could NEVER take away from you. I honestly think part of the reason he let Justice in in the first place was so he never had to be alone again.
I just made MYSELF go all wibbly. Poor Anders. *lip wobble*

I think Lucius Hawke just mind-slapped Anders.
He's trying to suck up to Knight-Commander Meredith and Anders just jumped all up in her face, ranting about this and that. When he is an apostate. A POSSESSED apostate. -facepalm-
Hawke was like, "Shut up, Anders. We don't want to hear it."

I've already had a similar thought. I imagine it must be both very claustrophobic in is head and also sootihng. He'll never be free from Justice, and that's bad, but he'll never be removed from Justice, and that's good.
Anders: Seriously ****ed up for quite some time now, all those people that go HE'S NO LONGER FUNNY just never realized it.

Yeah, I guess Anders is pretty confident Hawke will have his back in those situations. I just spoke to Cullen about Alrik and Anders was all up in the conversation. Granted, it's true that Hawke is an idiot for strolling up to the Knight-Captain and being all "I FOUND THIS NOTE ON A DEAD TEMPLAR!" in the first place, but Anders doesn't need to bait him.

What's funny is my Hawke has never given him the impression that he will.
I guess because Hawke has a bit of a soft spot for him, Anders thinks he can dance naked in front of the templars shooting fireballs in the sky and he'll still be protected. <_<
OHH wait a minute. He can.
