Soooooo I can't seem to find it now, but a few pages back I remember reading a post by... erm, someone whose username I don't recall... looking for Cerviero's 'Submit yourself to Justice' comic.

GuesswhatIfoundit. >.>

Also, shameless pimpage of her Vengeance concept art, because hot diggity damn, people.

Andraste's Flaming Ass.
That is awesome.

OMG that is so awesome!  *fans self*  OH Justice, baby!  *rawr*
Excuse me... I'm getting silly from lack of sleep.
And too much reading of way too sexy fanfic involving Hawke and sexy companions.  Oy.

I'm still voting Frederick.

It would make that banter with Nathaniel retroactively double lolstastic.

Or Alois.

Or Rodrick.

(I can see Lambert.)

.... is that in the rose?

Yes. I slept with prostitutes 23 times in a row, until I ran out of money. It was a social experiment, okay?

Sebastian fondled his Andraste every time.

This playthrough my warrior hit the blooming rose as soon as she had any money.
Now she's met Merrill and she's a bit... ya know... lusting for the elf, but she looks so young, it feels so wrong.
I think I'll make Hawke hire the elf prostitutes for a while longer as a replacement for the real elf she wants to bang.  Oh yeah.  My warrior is a sarcastic lust machine.  Poor Merrill has no idea what she's getting into.
If only Fenris and Anders were not so broken and stuff, warrior Hawke would totally hit them up too for some quick fun.  But they're too serious and warrior Hawke does not deal well with drama of broken hearts.  The Blooming Rose is less complicated.

Speaking of drama...
Am I the only one who takes great pleasure in the bickering between Fenris and Anders?  Their hatred is hot, I am such a sick individual.... :(

Obviously, my Hawke wasn't as emotionally open or something, because I can't imagine him even minding.

The name doesn't matter much. He comes home at night (or early morning), he smells like the sewer and sick people just like he does every day, his voice is the same and his hands are the same. Under that, the name hardly seems important.

Or maybe he told you off screen and it's something so horrible they never mention it again. : D

I personally imagine that to be the case, unless BW tells me otherwise.  I also don't think the name is that important of a thing outside my own curiosity.  I don't think any of my Hawkes particularly care, but they were lovers living together for 3 years by the end of the game.  I wouldn't be surprised if it came up at some point, the same way I imagine he filled Hawke in on as many Grey Warden details as he felt he could reveal.  Not "Grey Warden secrets OMG", but the things Hawke needs to know (like his shortened lifespan) or would possibly notice and ask about (appetite, stamina, horrific nightmares in the middle of the night).

Telling the person you're sharing a bed with about your crazy ass nightmares?

That would just be silly! Better to let them find out when they wake up to you trying to claw their face off.

I agree.  I'd just like to know more about him.  For one thing, I just know the writers have more information about him.  I KNOW THEY DO.  And it makes me paranoid or something.  I don't know why.

Just knowing that the writers are just sitting bunch of info about Anders that we don't know, and may never know, makes me kinda crazy. I know they know things, things that would blow all of our minds if we knew them. And that drives me INSANE.

I just imagine them sitting around a book filled with Anders back story and dialogue, reading it aloud and laughing manically at all the forumites clawing for more Anders.

Oh, and while up till now I have been immune to everysongilistentoeverremindsmeofanders, I found the perfect song for my Hawke and Anders' rivalmance, Slow Dancing in a Burning Room by John Mayer. Seriously, listen to the lyrics. So perfect.

That's just cruel, totally cruel.  I want more Anders... I don't care if it means they make money writing books or having TV shows or whatever... MORE ANDERS.
Sigh.  Sad panda.

I'd have thought he'd placed enough trust on you to divulge everything about himself. From his childhood in the Anderfels all the way down to his experiences in the Circle and post-Grey Warden life. Last scenario gets my vote though; off screen revelation. Friedrich von Hindenburg it is.

It's funny, because we were all trying to get BW to give us more Anders info after Awakening came out, and we got...nothing. Then he shows back up for DA 2 and...we hardly know anything more about him than we did in Awakening, as far as his past is concerned.

In my head, I always imagined that Anders told Hawke about the nightmares and all that stuff.
And I imagine that one night Hawke just about had enough of Fenris talking smack about Anders and shouted something to the extent of "What do you know of what Anders has to go through? The nightmares he must endure alone with nobody to understand him or relate to him because he's running away from the only people that could have ever understood, the grey wardens?"
In my mind, Hawke eventually makes those two at least behave themselves somewhat (OR ELSE), lolz.

I cannot imagine Anders, friend or lover, not sharing with Hawke these things.  Especially the healer/revolutionary Hawke who is like glued to him and keeps pestering Anders to let her help with the mage underground.

Oh the humanity!

I don't see divulging info as necessarily being about trust, see. And I also see experiences as being more important than names, yeah? A name just exists to sorta ... tag you as sometihng other than the other somethings running around. It's so we don't have to keep going "HEY YOU".

I guess personally it's just not something I'm so interested in. Even if Anders had a name I knew, I'd call him Anders. My Hawke would do the same thing. To do otherwise would just be weird, like switching the labels on the regular and decaf coffees.

... and possibly evil.

Yeah, see, that would be oversharing for my Hawke. I mean, he (sorta) got along with Fenris, generally by keeping magic off the topic list, but he knows Anders and Fenris hate each other so sharing Anders' weakness would be... not something he'd like to do.

Just like he woudln't share Fenris' fears and weaknesses with Anders. Anders might actually be more likely to bring them up.

Actually, "Ernest" is distressingly appropriate in meaning which according to this one website is "serious, battle to the death." I may have a compulsion to look up the meanings of things shush.

Still voting for Frederick.

But his name is nevertheless an aspect of who he is. I'm not trying to place such a large emphasis on it, I'm only expressing a bit of disappointment for the lack of real information about him. If the name "Anders" is what he defines himself as, then I'd have thought his life in the Anderfels, his heritage, and past mattered to him in some way.

Ah, see, my Hawke sees Fenris as having a ton of tact.  And a lot more self-control than Anders who cannot even manage to not burst out in reproach even during a tense moment like the one with Fenris' sister.  *sigh*
Perhaps I should say that the Hawke yelling that stuff at Fenris is the one that is romancing Fenris and is great friends with Anders and she's angry cause her brother is a templar, her lover dumped her and the two men she loves the most cannot keep their **** together long enough to even go on one mission without shouting at eachother the whole time.  So she's drunk and she's fed up and she demands that Fenris give Anders some damn slack already cause she cannot take it anymore.
Maybe she cares too much and maybe she's a little delusional that maybe if they just took two seconds to LISTEN, they might find they're not so different afterall.

Alas, current warrior Hawke is nothing like my mage Hawkettes and totally would not be up for sharing.  Or probably even listening much, would probably brush it all off and avoid any sharing from anyone with many many jokes.
She's worse than Awakening Anders.  Way worse.

They all still call Hawke, Hawke.
Don't see why she/he would stop calling Anders, Anders even if she/he found out his real name. The way Hawke will not start calling Fenris Leto despite finding out that's his real name.
Makes perfect sense to me. And Anders is a beautiful name.

I wish they would release more details on him, if only to make my own knowledge of him complete. I doubt my Hawke would necessarily care about the same info as I do, but there are some things I would want to know before inviting someone fully into my life.
As for the name, I can imagine Hawke hanging around his clinic one day, ****ing about how no one ever uses her first name, it's not like she's the only member of her family, and what, does she look like a parrot or something?, before Anders pipes up that no one uses his name either, and what does it matter?
And Hawke just gives him this long "buuuuh?" look.

"...You thought Anders was my actual name."
"Well. Um. Yes?"
"My parents weren't that cruel."
"Oh. Well. What is it, then?"
"You think I'm telling you now? Oh no, not after you didn't even think about it for four years."
"Fine. Don't tell me. Frederick."
"Frederick?"
"Klaus, then."
"Klaus?"
"If you won't tell me I'll have to come up with my own. Sorry, Jörg."
"Now I'm really not telling you."
"... Bugger."

Don't worry you're not alone. I have a whole alternate universe in my head where Anders and Fenris are having a secret hatelove affair that  no one knows about.

I really don't know why i totally do its all the sexy sexy hatesex that would go on I find the concept of Fenders so damn hot, but I do.

Haha. I never have that emotional of characters. I think I would get too tired. :3

If Fenris and Anders have to be in the same room, Hawke just makes sure Varric and/or Isabela is around so he can have help distracting them. Anders mostly. Fenris will pick, but mostly once Anders has picked at him.
