Listening to him swear in a mix of what I assume was Newari and German was hilarious.
And German accents sound an awful lot like old English.

I concur! I'm glad someone else understands because all my friends always have this "Really?! German accent? Really? You have a thing for german accents?!?! You sure?" attitude whenever I reveal my affinity for German accents and German men.
come to think of it... that so explains my thing for Anders. sigh.

It varies a lot though, I'll admit. The German accented people I know I could stand to hear much more of, but sometimes it's not the case. This is why voice actors exist haha.

And I fully support any german accents what so ever in future Dragon Age things. There have been zero characters with German accents and way too many with horrible Orlesian/fake french accents.

But everyone thinks DAIII is going to be in Orlais!
...
Leliana and Riordin to voice every Orlesian in the game!

Friendship +10 for Hellboy.
I think the French actors were excellent, with one exception in Origins. But whatever more Stroud/Riordan voice. I want this more than I want German accents and anything else voice actor related. FFffffmoar.

Ugh, no, not Leliana. Her VA bothers me so much, she always sounds so breathless, and she pauses in the wrong places. Drives me batty trying to listen to her.
Riordan/Stroud, on the other hand!

Actually, Seb reminds me of her. Except he's a million times more annoying.
Oh, the chantry or stabbing of people... oh what should I do...
sigh.

lol yeah. I believe Leliana's VA is authentically French though. Either way, there's a horrible lack of German accents. Unless of course, you count Cassandra's accent (Nevarra = Prussia). DA3 should explore the Anderfels. Being home to the Grey Warden order and possibly the poorest country in Thedas, I'd want to know more about Anders' native land. Sort of reminded me of Aveline asking him if he missed Ferelden to which he responds, "I mean, what has Ferelden ever done for me?"

Whenever I think of the Anderfels, I picture that Village of Haven in Origins. I kinda picture most of the place to look like it, atmosphere and all. Gray all the time too.

Zevran's voice is so... bombastic. I loved it because it was just so beyond ridiculous that I didn't care how bad it was. Oh, Zev.
