I think David was justifiably slightly peeved that people keep saying over the top things like "you think tranquil are ok so you must condone slavery" when he doesn't say things like that at all. He is a master of vague language that says very little about things he doesn't want to give away. Also, he never comes down on one side rather than the other.

So happy to see all the posts by the lead writer! The story hooks in the game itself certainly show the *possibility* of a DA3, but Gaider's involvement on the boards makes me a bit more hopeful that a DA3 might actually be planned. However, I don't want it called DA3. DA2 should really be called DA2:Origin (singular), and the next game should be called DA2: The Actual Rest of the Story. I enjoyed DA2, but it felt so short and not nearly as large in scope as DAO until the very end, where you finally get some epicness, and then it ends!

I was wondering, what do Ander fans think of his "Abomination" status?
Do you think it is a bit hypocritical how he disregards Merrill's use of
Blood Magic when he himself employs a very similar use of life-force
turne to spell fuel?
The "abomination" spirit meld bit didn't bother me, since I saw it initially as no different than what Wynne did. What did bother me was how badly it affected both Anders and Justice. It would have worked better, I assume, if Anders hadn't been so badly hurt and the spirit's monomania didn't fit in so well with Ander's darker impulses. A spirit insanely focused on healing, like Wynne's, doesn't do harm like one insanely focused on revenge. I don't see Anders as a hypocrite since he clearly states he believes spirits and demons are very different creatures. Unfortunately, Vengeance acts quite demonic because Anders messed him up. Now I'm sad.
