Your Surana is just too cute. My Amell (who was definitely one of the "Circle tower mattress" types) would have spent a lot of time trying to seduce the little nerd. Though I think you've said he was a Zevran-lover, right? She wouldn't have gotten very far I guess.
She was the type to have lots of sexual escapades and then tell Jowan about them in embarrassing detail. Poor Jowan. He knew far more than he wanted to about the private parts of all the other mage boys.

Glad the comic amuses! I got the impression that you guys liked your apostate mages stir-crazy around here.
Ah, my m!Surana was a total dork in the Tower. He's the kind who would trade his Black Lotuses away in exchange for Craw Wurms from Jowan.

Yeah I thought that about that picture (which I adore, by the way, his FACE IS PERFECT) but it doesn't actually show anything. Right? Right? It's just EXTREMELY suggestive. In a very good way.

The image of Jowan and The Warden in the Library at break times playing trading cards is now Canon in my head. NERD MAGES FTW. Of course, Finn would be there too, and he'd always have better cards than the others because his parents would send them to him.
And every now and then Anders would pay them to do his homework.

I love Jowan! I imagine him and my Warden were best buds never allowed to play in the Circle kissing games. My Warden, because he was Irving's student, Jowan, because he was just ... Jowan.
They would have been the kids trading Magic cards to each other. If Fereldan had braces headgear, my Warden would have had 'em. And Jowan would have had massive acme and a voice that kept cracking.
D'aww, that's an adorable image.
I saw my Amell as the pretty popular girl who just latched onto the nerdy guy for reasons unknown. My Surana was just too much of a weird brat to make any other friends.
Yeah. My Surana is the one in my portrait. He was just an awkward, awkward little guy that would have grown up to write treatises on some esoteric subject if he hadn't accidentally sold out Jowan.

The final romance scene breakup dialogue is SO good
Hawke: "I know I will never be the most important thing in your life"
Anders: "I wish I had no loyalties greater than you, that's the freedom I'm fighting for."<3

So it's pretty much canon that Jowan and the mage Warden played trading card games in the library, right? Because that's totally the kind of thing Kane would do. xD The star student who spends all of his time reading, sneaking out of his room at night to look for books about forbidden magic, practicing his spells in the Fade, constantly challenging the templars in debate, playing card games, waiting impatiently for letters from his cousins, and otherwise just being lazy. Oh yeah, and yelling at Jowan for learning blood magic without him.

And that's why I can't bear to break up with Anders.
Also, I know it makes no sense given that they're a pair of apostate fugitives in the middle of a holy war, but I kind of want my Hawke and Anders to have children just because of his final dialogue line. It doesn't help that their daughter popped into my head as a character, and I can't get her to go away. She is the cutest, most angelic little blonde mage baby ever.
Same for me, except they have three children and the oldest becomes Justice's next host after Anders' calling. xDSable Rhapsody wrote...

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't wanting to be the center of someone's world sound just as selfish? I mean if I were in the same situation, I'd imagine having a similar mindset that nothing was more important than obtaining that freedom. For better or for worse. But I also wouldn't of been stupid enough to start a relationship either.
Or I have very limited social prowess with the human species.

I don't even know how you guys manage to get through the knife in the back thing... I couldn't do it! F*** Seb, I had to let Anders go even though I knew he'd come back. It was majestic, tragic and whatnots... but certainly better for my poor heart that stabbystab.
I know... I tried it once out of curiosity and was like "NO! NOOOOOO! ANDERS! I'M SO SORRY!" before I instantly reloaded. Seriously, a knife in the back, wow, that's really cold hearted.

For my Hawke, that moment was really the leap into the abyss that Flemeth spoke of, more than any of the moments with the Qunari or Circle. With those you could see a hint of the outcomes, or you were being carried along by events without any choice.
But that moment with Anders? It's looking off the cliff into the unknown, into a world of chaos and war and fear, and stepping off the edge, eyes wide open. Best.

That's exactly what my Hawke thought as she looked up at the ruins of the Chantry. She remembered Flemeth's words and leapt with her eyes open.
And found that the templars could be defied--that she had wings. It's cheesy, but adorable.
