By the end it seems like the only thing going on in Fenris's life is Hawke... well, his conflict being solved is a good thing I suppose, but it'd be nice to have something else to go on besides the whole "together 4evaz",

The templars would just start rumors that Hawke and Anders were kidnapping children and brainwashing them into their cult. And then the kid would be taken by the angry mob and Anders would get to suffer even more.Purposeof-Flight wrote...
Who said you can't have kids as an apostate?
Sure, they'll be looking for Hawke...but will they be looking for PREGNANT Hawke?
Will they be looking for Hawke with little blonde toddler?
I don't friggin' think so. In many ways, having children will only benefit the two apostates in love.

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't wanting to be the center of someone's world sound just as selfish? I mean if I were in the same situation, I'd imagine having a similar mindset that nothing was more important than obtaining that freedom. For better or for worse. But I also wouldn't of been stupid enough to start a relationship either.
Or I have very limited social prowess with the human species.
No, I'm in this camp, too. I expect my significant others to have purposes higher than me. If they don't, I wouldn't be interested in them.
Same with Anders. What's sad is that his purpose is nearly all consuming, self destructively so. But having a goal that's bigger than "I want to love you forever" is waaay good. I'd even think it was healthy if not for, you know, the all consuming, self destructive aspect.
It makes me think of war journalists, naturalists, military couples or people working for things like Doctors Without Borders or Amnesty International. They know that they could die doing what they do, but are still willing because they're working or fighting for a cause that's bigger than the both of them. Having someone you love and trust beside you makes it both easier and more important that you succeed. And I imagine it makes those moments when you can relax with each other even more precious.

Fenris problems are behind him. There is nothing "OMG together 4eva!" about that. Or at least not anymore so than the mage "let's run away together!!!" ending with Anders.
Fenris has dealt with most of his issues. Many of Anders' issues haven't yet been resolved. That's all. That doesn't make one inherently superior than the other.
And really I'm gonna end up killing Anders so many times once the rivalry bug is fixed. Poor Anders.
And dang it. I guess I'm gonna have to snap at him for bringing up Fenris to my Hawke. His rivalrymance is so bugged there's no real reason to do it.

OUCH.
Let someone try to MY Hawke's babies away. Can you say, "bloodbath"?

For my Hawke, that moment was really the leap into the abyss that Flemeth spoke of, more than any of the moments with the Qunari or Circle. With those you could see a hint of the outcomes, or you were being carried along by events without any choice.
But that moment with Anders? It's looking off the cliff into the unknown, into a world of chaos and war and fear, and stepping off the edge, eyes wide open. Best.
Flemeth's words really seem extra poetic for an Anders-loving Hawke.

I demand that Zombie Leandra be there if such a thing were to occur. It would be like the Addams Family. In other words, gloriously warped.
Saya Amell: I can't believe I let myself be dragged to these things.
Mouse: Oh, I don't know. These gatherings are always... *pops on sunglasses* ...such a blast.
(YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH)
Saya Amell: Stop doing that.

It took me a second to realize you weren't talking about actual puppies. I blame all the talk of kittens in this thread. Although, I suppose if anything my mind should always be in the gutter in this thread. *is confused now*

Yes, I'm one of them.
It's not like Hawke makes the brightest ideas, anyhow.
Having a child at the brink of war is right up Hawke's alley, actually.
BUT, seriously, I agree with you. Hawke certainly shouldn't be having any children....by ANYONE right now.

Seconded. Drowning in blood ain't got nothing on what she'd do.
And I KNOW it's not realistic or responsible for Anders and Hawke to have children. But I can't get the image of Anders with his adorable little mage daughter in his arms out of my head.

God, I want to work with Doctors Without Borders so freaking bad.
I want to be my own hero. If I have a SO that stands in the way of that, then we were won't work out. So the idea of breaking up with Anders because he has something bigger than Hawke is just not for me, even if I'm RP'ing someone else.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a "together forever" ending. Just saying that by the end of the game it seems likeHawke is the only thing Fenris has going on. If you end up with Anders, you stay fighting for the mages, if you end up with Isabela, you can go on her ship or whatever, etc. But what if you end with Fenris?

I'm just glad that Anders is a former tower mage and undoubtedly knows those spells Wynne spoke of to prevent pregnancy. Because even though my Hawke is all " babies", she's also the most reckless person in existence, and should never ever have been given the responsibility of a womb.

I agree. And I do think Flemeth was refering to the Chantry explosion/future revolution when she said that stuff. Flemeth can obviously tell the future.
