The child being possessed by a demon and becoming full on abomination so that Mom and Dad get to slay it is the only acceptable way this can go down IMO.
That's right. More tragedy.

You spend too much time in the Anders thread. I'll never understand it.

I think that was only part of the change.
There's still the time when the two remaining archdemons will wake up - AT THE SAME TIME.

I'm just glad that Anders is a former
tower mage and undoubtedly knows those spells Wynne spoke of to prevent
pregnancy. Because even though my Hawke is all "[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/sick.png[/smilie] babies",
she's also the most reckless person in existence, and should never ever
have been given the responsibility of a womb.

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't wanting to be the center of someone's world sound just as selfish? I mean if I were in the same situation, I'd imagine having a similar mindset that nothing was more important than obtaining that freedom. For better or for worse. But I also wouldn't of been stupid enough to start a relationship either.
Or I have very limited social prowess with the human species.
No, I'm in this camp, too. I expect my significant others to have purposes higher than me. If they don't, I wouldn't be interested in them.
Same with Anders. What's sad is that his purpose is nearly all consuming, self destructively so. But having a goal that's bigger than "I want to love you forever" is waaay good. I'd even think it was healthy if not for, you know, the all consuming, self destructive aspect.
It makes me think of war journalists, naturalists, military couples or people working for things like Doctors Without Borders or Amnesty International. They know that they could die doing what they do, but are still willing because they're working or fighting for a cause that's bigger than the both of them. Having someone you love and trust beside you makes it both easier and more important that you succeed. And I imagine it makes those moments when you can relax with each other even more precious.
God, I want to work with Doctors Without Borders so freaking bad.
I want to be my own hero. If I have a SO that stands in the way of that, then we were won't work out. So the idea of breaking up with Anders because he has something bigger than Hawke is just not for me, even if I'm RP'ing someone else.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a "together forever" ending. Just saying that by the end of the game it seems likeHawke is the only thing Fenris has going on. If you end up with Anders, you stay fighting for the mages, if you end up with Isabela, you can go on her ship or whatever, etc. But what if you end with Fenris?

What Batteries said.
I'll be over here in my corner with gay Hawke and Anders and no fugitive offspring and don't anyone say mpreg because I just did and now you all get to brain bleach.

My vote is for ginger!Hawke.
He has child bearing hips

And that suddenly means his life evolves around Hawke how exactly?
Izzy has been searching for her ship for years and was a pirate long before she met Hawke, Merrill is doing...what exactly? Anders is on his downward spiral and being his revolutionist self.
Fenris issue was getting free of Danarius and becoming his own man. Part of that has been resolved. The other part can be done with Hawke.
I'm not understanding why it's seen as bad thing. It's open. You can journey together. That doesn't mean he's Hawke's slave.

Whereas mine just gleefully gave all the Templars a collective heart attack, what with her pencheant for finding her way onto (or... into, in some cases) improbably high spaces. She of course claims it was forSCIENCElevitation research, but really we all know the alcoves are the comfiest reading spots.
As for Jowan, I figured he was just the nice kid that took the scared newbie under his wing, once she showed up at the Tower.
I keep having these mental images of them skipping down the halls, arm in arm, to the tune of Leave It To Beaver.
I have no freaking clue how I got this idea, mind you, but it won't leave me alone.
This is the way it was for Kaya in the end. Also, still working on turning into a dragon. She loves that trick.cleosilver wrote...

For my Hawke, that moment was really the leap into the abyss that Flemeth spoke of, more than any of the moments with the Qunari or Circle. With those you could see a hint of the outcomes, or you were being carried along by events without any choice.
But that moment with Anders? It's looking off the cliff into the unknown, into a world of chaos and war and fear, and stepping off the edge, eyes wide open. Best.
That's exactly what my Hawke thought as she looked up at the ruins of the Chantry. She remembered Flemeth's words and leapt with her eyes open.
And found that the templars could be defied--that she had wings. It's cheesy, but adorable.
Yep. She's still working on the Dragon part though
I prefer Hawke going missing, Anders going off to his calling in some templar-killing magical explosion, and their oldest son becoming Justice's willing host to find his mother, protect his sisters, and keep the only parental figure he has left around permanently.Pseudocognition wrote...

Those are...actually very good points. I was always kinda hurt whenever Anders said that everything else was more important than their relationship, but now that I see y'alls explanations, it makes sense now.
Btw, PERFECT Anders relationship song: Run by Snow Patrol. Seriously, listen to it; this song screams Anders and Hawke. "Light up, light up...as if you have a choice..." <3

You're welcome, it's awesome seeing what people come up with. I generally have it playing in the background now I'm replaying DA:O. I may not have Anders immediately to hand, but I can listen to his anthems, damn it!
