Now I kind of want to see the companion selection screen with everyone wearing Duncan's beard.

Especially Merrill.

Let a fuzzy squirrel grab onto her chin?

I think this expression is appropriate.

Oh, and since it's come up a few times about wanting to see the inside of the Gallows:

The Gallows 1
The Gallows 2
The Gallows 3

I know it's not proper living areas or watching actual mages go about their business, but when I actually took the time to look around I realised how very DO NOT WANT that place is. Thinking of Bethany locked up there made me feel so guilty for not trying to break her out. Anders, make your stupid underground save my sister in Act II, please!

Also, why are my screenshots always such ****ty quality.

I love when he frowns like this

I always say, "Oh dear Anders, I love you," when he does that.

Sounds like a good time to submit my first (hesitant!) piece of Anders!Art then :) After Cammen, nothing looks quite so awful. :P

Go easy, I don't *do* drawing. I made an exception for Anders, however.

Hee, thank you. She'd quite agree.

Favourite Anders expression has to be the smirk. If only he'd do more eyebrow-raising, but at least he smirks plenty!

@ Amondra You have to open the image you want to post in a new tab so it's JUST the image url, not the URL of the website it's hosted on. Then post like this (but remove the spaces!)

So. If Duncan and Anders were both at the tower at the same time in the mage origin (and I have no idea if that was the case), d'you think the Wardens would have considered recruiting him instead of the PC? Duncan seems to like the PC because they're brave and take risks, and Anders fits that description to a T.

Irving seems to have suggested the PC to Duncan in the first place, which makes me wonder if he thought Anders was a bit too flaky or irresponsible for the role, or thought that the mage would just take the chance to hare off again.
Of course, the recruitment might have been while he was already on the lam, or even during his year in solitary, but I would think it would be a good solution to wash his hands of the trouble-maker permanently.

He seemed to be a bit .. lack of seriousness and neutrality which is required to be the warden in Awakening. :D

I don't think Duncan would have recruited Anders instead of the PC. He might have recruited Anders in addition to the PC, but like you said, I doubt Irving would have recommended the guy who keeps trying to escape. Irving might have thought that Anders would just try to escape again if he got out and run away from the Wardens too.

Not that my Kane Amell is more trustworthy than Anders... but it isn't as likely that he would try to escape, because that would involve running, and he's far too lazy for that. Plus, he knows his limitations. As powerful as he is, he knows that an escape is impossible for him, so he simply wouldn't try. Kane does tend to challenge authority figures though (in verbal debate only), and that can't be a good thing for the Wardens. Luckily, Duncan never saw that side of him. When they met, Kane was just fascinated by his stories as a Warden, and after Jowan betrayed him, Duncan saved his life. Kane never wanted to be a soldier, but due to the circumstances, he wasn't about to be anything but grateful towards Duncan.

I can't imagine how Anders would have acted, aside from the obvious being happy to get out of the Circle permanently. I'm curious to know how he would respond to seeing Duncan kill that guy during the Joining. In comparison, his experience in Awakening was much easier than what the Warden went through.

I wonder how he would have acted over all, if he went on to be the hero and stop the blight...I wonder if he would  have liked Morrigan?

I'm not sure how Awakening Anders would have felt about Morrigan. DA2 Anders probably wouldn't get along with her. She's a mage who doesn't help out with the cause, and she uses dark magic. Dark magic is only okay if it's Hawke.

Not sure if he would have liked Morrigan but I'm sure he would like to tease/do catfight against Alistair with Morrigan.

LOL everything is okay as long as it is Hawke even being a Templar...for some reason...

I would feel so bad for Alistair! I think he might treat Morrigan like he did Velanna?

I also think we would have gotten a more DA 2 Anders out of him by the end...I also think he would have hated Liliana(I think I spelt her name wrong)

Anders's rage against templar will tear Alistair apart with the aid from Morrigan ;)

It's Leliana. I'm not sure if Anders would have hated her since Leliana didn't really disapprove apostate or that sort of things.
