FemHawke is obviously taller, since she is same height or maybe 1-2 inches shorter than the guys. I think 5'5" is Varric's height. Then again the same height is used more or less for all the models and I believe that would have something to do with animation.
There's no way dwarves are that tall. I'm shorter than that
Varric is only about femhawke's chest-to-shoulder height. So he should be at least 30 cm shorter than femhawke 8D!Purposeof-Flight wrote...
In DAO all the elves are shorter....Zevran's head came up to a female human's chin.
But in this one, Fenris is all tall and lanky, and he actually looks like...one inch taller than a female Hawke.
I think Varric is more around five foot.
I think I saw somewhere that he still showed up in Act 3.ReallyRue wrote...

Same here, I'm only like 5'3
Does anyone else know what happens if you tell Anders to leave after his quest in Act 2? Does he show up again so you know he bombed the Chantry in Act 3? Or would you never find out? I was just wondering, because I've never had the heart to tell him to go.

My human PCs are tall, mostly because I have been 5'10" since I was 11. My canon Warden (DW warrior) is only 5'8", but my 2H Hawke is 6'. This makes it funny in the game, because f!Hawke is noticeably shorter than Anders, but in my head he's 6'1" and so slight that she really could carry him around. Although I did notice that the concept art makes him appear very average in height and build (in the line up, he's the same height as Aveline and shorter than Seb).

Re: how skinny Anders is. I definitely think he's slimmer than the body model used for Hawke in the game. But I think he must have some muscle on him, with all the staff twirling he does in the game. Those mage animations look pretty...athletic to me. So, probably some lean, wiry muscle.

I don't know.
In the romance scene, when he stands in front of the fire...it looks like he has a little belly. That pokes out over his belt. I was like, -double gasp- "is that muscle or fat? ARGH I HATE VIDEO GAMES IT'S NOT LIKE YOU CAN ASK HIM."

Human female warden is tall! Hawke's way shorter. I'm giving you 5ft 7'' tops.
I don't think elves can be much taller than 5ft 3''. Except Fenris, who's tall and LANKY

But I choose to push her towards Aveline's height because big, strong women are sexy AND underrepresented.

It can't be fat. Poor guy lives in Darktown! I doubt he'd be scoffing bon bons down there or something. But after moving in with Hawke, I could see him putting on a little weight. I'm sure Hawke could help him work it off though.
yep, but average girls' head is at least 20 cm long in height. Add the height of neck and such there. He should be at least 30cm shorter than female human.Thief-of-Hearts wrote...
i gauged varric at 5'5" because of that pic with his face inside Isa's chest. Isabelle being the same height as...everyone else, and the top of Varric's head sitting slightly above her chest.

The real fun would be between Zevran and Anders, though. I think that BW is cruel for never letting us have a party with both of them in it, because...the banter.
I know, but i was just going off in game models. All or most of them tend to carry the same heights, so I was estimating based on those proportions.Hellosanta wrote...

I've thought about Anders in Origins WAY too much.
I think he and Alistair would be at odds for a bit, but then start getting along pretty well. Alistair is hardly anti-mage, and his relief at not having to become a templar AND the fact that he was forced into it might illuminate Anders' views on templars a bit. It's like Wynne's story about the Revered Mother and how it wasn't her choice to join the Chantry, only less obnoxious because it's Anders and Alistair.
I think he'd be all over Morrigan, but she'd not be that into him at all. Between corny Awakening Anders and clingy DA2 Anders, he's like her worst nightmare in a man. I also think that his compassion would butt up against her practicality in a bad way.
He might really like Leliana, especially a Leliana who comes out of her Chantry shell. I bet they could have some fairly interesting conversations, and Leliana isn't rigid on her views. Also, textbook example of a pretty girl.

Oh, God... the banter. *faints*
I wonder if Origins Anders would be as jealous/possessive of the Warden as he is of Hawke. I can imagine an Alistair/Anders puppy-dog-eyes showdown over the Warden. I would love to see that.
